I love how Chris noticed the lack of air bubbles coming out of their noses!
The video was originally for the song Utltraviolence. The name ‘Jim’ may also be an allusion to infamous cult leader, Jim Jones. In her “Freak” music video, which was supposed to be the Ultraviolence music video but was later discarded, she drinks Kool-Aid, a reference to the Jonestown Massacre, when Jim Jones called a mass suicide by leading over 900 cult members to drink Kool-Aid with cyanide

that makes so much sense, i always thought the culty vibe fit ultraviolence alot, but i'm happy it ended up on honeymoon tbh
Fun Fact: The guy in the video with the beard is an artist named “Father John Misty”. His music is amazing he’s like a male version of Lana🤍🖤

YAAAS NEXT IS LOVE, I've waited a long time for tha 😭😭
Funfact :The music video footage was filmed around June 2014, originally for "Ultraviolence
On January 25, 2016, Del Rey confirmed on social media that a music video to accompany "Freak" had been completed,[9] later confirming that video would premiere on February 9, 2016.[ She announced that the video would star the girls featured in "Music to Watch Boys To" and singer-songwriter Father John Misty. Segments of the music video were featured in The Honeymoon Sampler that was released onto KZread on September 8, 2015.The video, which was released on February 9, 2016,[14] features clips of Del Rey, Father John Misty, Chuck Grant and the girls from The Honeymoon Sampler and "Music to Watch Boys To" who were featured earlier in the film in a swimming pool as Claude Debussy's "Clair de Lune" plays. The video was directed by Del Rey herself.
You guys made me laugh my ass off!
I swear this song would go so good on the move Midsommer. Like someone could probably make a music video from that movie.
can u react to pawn shop blues its one of her best unreleased songs, loving the reactions guys
Cults are always about family and belonging to something, believing in something that makes no sense but you give it all of you.
The swimming part shows you how the high guy is feeling.
love this video, more lana pls
The sixth track, “Freak”, continues with the trap influences of its predecessor and was compared to the songs of The Weeknd. Its instrumentation contains bass chords, with the saxophone, Roland TR-808 drums and sound effects of cicadas, in her Del Rey celebrates, with her whispering vowels, California by describing her as an aberration, inviting her partner to be like her.
Well shes suggesting you should come to California and be a freak too. Also hes rollig isnt he? So hes trippin balls and theyre in bliss. Thats what I think the emding is supposed to be. That serenity
This is one of my favorite music videos & songs. When Ultraviolence came out, many news sources would attack her saying that she was promoting cults and glamorizing abuse. 😂 People are such alarmists. There's a really powerful letter that Lana wrote comparing what she writes about with the messages Doja, Ariana and other sing about - It's a fun read. 👍
i could watch y’all for days
*Great reaction video! I really like how you guys give your own thoughts and opinions on her albums. You guys give and share such interesting ideas and interrupt it very well. Keep it up! ^^*

Love this song but hate this video! Her glamorization of cults has always been unsettling to me.

Maybe you are glamorizing it yourself. She's just telling a story as she pictures it as she was herself in a cult when she was younger. I don't think it's glamorized, it's just the theme.

@@eduardorodriguez3468 The entire damn video is one glamor shot. Especially the drinking the koolaid scene which is a reference to the jones town massacre where over 900 people died from drinking koolaid mixed with potassium cyanide. shes kind of a mess for this video.

@@natalieaubuchon4474 (1 year late) yes, that's what Ulgraviolence song is about, her time at that cult, and how the cult leader used to hit people because he believed that "you have to broke ppl first to them rebuild them again" (or something like that). As many others have said, this was the original video for ultraviolence song
