This is a fan account, which is not related to the production. Search up Jack Antonoff for the producer. I think in this he starts with the chords (and voice), then builds up layers of sound the more it progresses. For example, he adds guitar strums, a distorted bass, and a synth when Lana is doing vocal riffs. Antonoff seems to focus on supporting the vocalist with the instruments - which is my favourite aspect to his production. The percussion has different levels of reverb, delay, and levelling. So like some drums have high reverb, while some have low reverb. A better example of this is with with Lana Del Rey’s album Honeymoon, but it isn’t produced by Antonoff. Antonoff is also really good at having an expansive and flowing composition. The outro to this song has different instruments responding to each other. I don’t think the songs are live recorded so this is built up. Also I’m an amateur, so I don’t really know what producers in the industry do. I’m also bad at engineering and mixing, so I don’t know how specifically to make the airy and even sound this song has. I also don’t know anything about finding good chords because I suck at music.
