Lana Del Rey - 13 Beaches (Instrumental)
Музыка
LYRICS:
I don't belong in the world
But that's what it is
Something separates me from other people
Everywhere I turn
There's something blocking my escape
It took thirteen beaches to find one empty
But finally it's mine
With dripping peaches
I'm camera ready
Almost all the time
But I still get lonely
And baby only then
Do I let myself recline?
Can I let go?
And let your memory dance
In the ballroom of my mind
Across the county line
It hurts to love you
But I still love you
It's just the way I feel
And I'd be lying
If I kept hiding
The fact that I can't deal
And that I've been dying
For something real
But I've been dying for something real
It took thirteen beaches to find one empty
But finally I'm fine
Past Ventura
And lenses plenty
In the white sunshine
But you can still find me
If you ask nicely
Underneath the pines
With the daisies
Feeling hazy
In the ballroom of my mind
Across the county line
It hurts to love you
But I still love you
It's just the way I feel
And I'd be lying
If I kept hiding
The fact that I can't deal
And that I've been dying
For something real
But I've been dying for something real
It hurts to love you
But I still love you
It's just the way I feel
And I'd be lying
If I kept hiding
The fact that I can't deal
The fact that I can't deal

I'm living for the satellite glitch. The sounds from this song kinda make me imagine a picture of a sort of futuristic city in my mind.

I imagine her in a helicopter over a beach for some reason during the chorus
I’ve always noticed the satellite glitch, especially the first one when it changes from piano to heavy drums...such a creative addition to the instrumental

The satellite sounding feels like I am communicating with the dead, that sort of intermission. It's very interesting and such a new touch to a song, Only Lana would have the wisdom to somehow incorporate that into a song.
I love how dystopian this instrumental sounds, it’s both dramatic and desolate, very fitting for the tone of the album and the message of loneliness incorporated in the lyrics

The electronic glitch or the satellite sound is the exacted sound that was on Best American Record one which is weird considering love video have that retro in future vibe but the sound is more pure and folk-rock but this have some UFO out of this world kinda vibe that is more fitting to the video love

HOLY THE CHORUS
this album is so sweet but there’s a dystopian feeling in the background of the whole vibe and i love it
This has to be one of my favourite instrumentals. I feel like I’m drowning during the first part, emerging when the chorus starts and drowning again as it ends... I can’t even describe it
4:15 This is probably for me one of the hardest songs to listen to from Lana, I had a boyfriend last year, we were together for two years but he was younger than me, and so I had to take 3 buses Everytime I wanted to see him because in lived in a different village than me, unfortunately he broke up with me several months ago but the feelings I have towards this song won't be ever erased from my memory... I remember taking the bus to come back to my village at 23:00 being the road very dark and I always chose this song to listen to in the travel... You don't and won't be able ever to imagine how in love I was and how happy. Music is powerful and have the ability to take you to so specific moments, I think it's incredible how a melody can take your soul and make it feel the same way it was feeling in that moment
this is such and underrated song i love it to death
Favorite song, lyrically and musically

Lana is truly an artist
13 beaches lovers unite! Btw if you didn’t know High by the beach is the predecessor to this song. She is saying she was trying to get high on the beach but it took her 13 beaches to find one that was camera free! On a deeper level its tragic! Fame hit her hard at the time, this was after they found a fan living in her house which caused her immense trauma. There a lot of hotels referenced in her music after this song and it’s because she doesn’t trust being home alone! She mentioned this in an interview not just coming up with stuff 😂
My favorite instrumental of all time. Magical.
