Test Drive Unlimited is such a unique experience that it hasn't been rivaled to this day. The laid back approach of the game that just lets you enjoy owning and driving exotic cars without the screen being filled with multipliers and points, without a cringe story or stupid music. I miss those days. Walk around, open every door, admire the car, choose the trim, test drive it. Damn. Such a great experience

@@ISAK.M Matter of fact, theres even still only a ahndfull of games that have anything but the 5.2 LP Superleggera. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is one of them, having I believe the most LP Gallardo’s out of any game I’ve seen release to this date. The Pre-LP was lost with TDU1 and Forza Motorsport 3 (or 4 if they appeared there but that’s unlikely because the LP Gallardo was more well known at that time).

i wish modern games would include the standard version instead of the SV all the time. Or both would be cool

The Murcielago in NFS HEAT, CARBON, GRAN TURISMO 5 to 7 and THE CREW MOTORFEST all have amazing engine sounds.

True. But Gran Turismo 5 coupe models also as great as PGR4 and GT7. Take the 2007 R35GTR for example.

The yellow Lamborghini Murcielago from the cover of Need for Speed 6 Hot Pursuit 2 is what started my love for cars (along with a dark blue Ferrari F50 model car my parents bought for my 4th birthday). I think that car might be the reason why yellow is my favourite colour. This was the poster car for an entire generation of kids growing up in the 2000s (along with others like the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR and Toyota Supra). This car was the first flagship Lamborghini made after they got bought out by Audi, the last V12 Lamborghini to have a manual gearbox, the last V12 Lamborghini that raced professionally and the last Lamborghini to use an engine that was designed back in the 1960s which had been used in the Miura, Countach and Diablo. Also the most fitting car for Batman as Murcielago is Spanish for "bat" and the intakes above the rear fenders that rise up on the car at high speeds are referred to as "bat ears". People used to complain that it didn't look as outlandish as the Diablo or the Countach, they used to complain that it wasn't as dangerous to drive as the previous V12 powered Lamborghinis and that Volkswagen had ruined Lamborghini. Then the Aventador came out and people complained that the Aventador wasn't as dangerous to drive as the Murcielago (looking at you, Richard Hammond). Nowadays people love it and there are those who call it the last great V12 Lamborghini.

Sounds like this is one of the hardest sounds to replicate

ngl I think people sleep on Crew Motorfest's sound design, I love the sound of gears shifting while Murcielago is not as raw, orgasmic and loud as in Hot Pursuit 10/Remastered, it's more bassy, volumetric, bigger and full

the song of the shift in most wanted is insane

I love the sound of the Murcielago in GRAN TURISMO 5, 6, 7, and NFS CARBON.

All modern racing games: LAMBORGHINI MURCIÉLAGO in Racing Games The Crew:

I like how no other game, besides Midnigh Club, had not animated the wings when reaching high speeds until Forza 4. Like "Oh yea, these bits are supposed to be functional"

Grid and NFS Shift back in 2008/9 was one of the first big leaps in graphical fidelity here.

GTR2 sounds incredibly nice, the straight cut gears and the asphalt adds to the atmosphere nicely

In MCLA, it was like the best vehicle that could win races, even destroys the Goal Attack mode, Once you max it, it is game over for the AI. As you also earn a free DUB Edition from it’s tournament

I made a twin turbo Murci in NFS heat and that's one of my favorite cats I've ever played with

@@michaelgakanga current NFS sounds are kinda soft and still very much centered where Driveclub is utilizing the stereo effect and Carbon has more bass and more impactful sounds

and Grafics looks Driveclub and NFS Unbound very good

A lot of the older games look better than today😂

I kinda like tail lights in basic model, but LP 640 improved them.

Car sounds were the one thing the Midnight Club series struggled with for some reason with so many cars in Midnight Club 3 and Midnight Club Los Angeles having incorrect sounds.

It would be great if there was a multiplatform game like NFS Rivals...

Some of these games straight up insults the sound.
