I'm a SC fan and I want to offer big kudos to the Lady Vols. They are the team this season that challenged SC the most. They're a tough and talented team - looking forward to watching them in the NCAA tournament.

Exactly!!! The grit, determination, and perseverence the Lady Vols showed was palpable!! To crawl from a +20pt deficit and getting it within a single point against the #1 team in the nation is crazy. You couldn't tell me that SC wasn't about to run away with that game looking at the 1st half. Tbh, I stopped watching it bc I thought it was going to be a blowout by SC. I randomly decided to check to score to see the score, expecting SC margin of victory to be by +20pt or more, to find out that the Vols were up by 2pt. I was like, "Oh, Shit!!" Wtbs, that cluch play by Cardoso was crazy!!

💯 This game had me on the edge of my seat!! If they were gonna lose to anyone, Tennessee would have been an easier pill to swallow as I really like Jewel Spear a lot. Respect to Tennessee - what a game!!

shes a hell of a head coach, this is someone i would play for, they played the numbers game and that girl made the shot of her life, she never hit a three before, thats a hell of a game, and she is gonna benefit from this loss in the future, hell of a coach, hell of a game, hope she can help her squad bounce back

I also liked how Rickea consoled her weeping coach, Kellie Harper, by touching her shoulder. Very nice and thoughtful of her.

What a game and absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. 🧡💙🧡

- Two missed freethrows - Fulwiley grabs the rebound, then double dribbles (missed called by refs, no biggie). - You foul the player who would've had to heave it from half court. - 1.1 isn’t enough time for a catch and pass so Why is Jackson standing mindlessly at center field instead of trying to make any inbound pass difficult? - Then you leave a player wide open on the 3 point line who has a better chance at making it than Fulwiley’s potential game winning heave from half court. *Sometimes luck is involved, sometimes it's just bad decision-making as a player. I honestly thought Coach Harper was hyperventilating when that shot went in at the buzzer.* I like both teams! Great win SC, Great game Tenn!

She said it. Everyone is a shooter. Always passively contest the inbound and passively defend every opponent. No excuse for that wide open inbound and shot.

I was at the game and thought this was gonna be our first loss and was okay with it but we got lucky. What a hard fought Lady Vols. Cardoso making her first three ever to win the game in the SEC tourney semi finals?!? Who would’ve thought! Gamecock fan so I’m happy we won!! Much respect to TN and Kellie Harper.

I am so proud of this team. My heart aches for them. They hung with the undefeted #1 team in the nation till the last 11 seconds. I know they are hurting, but they do not need to hang their heads, they fought like no other team has against SC. I hope this helps their seeding for the tournament. I am an SC alumn and fan, but just wanted to say I have loved watching how your team has improved, adjusted, and grown throughout the year (and more specifically, the last 3 weeks). TBH, I would love to see this rivalry develop more and more as the years progreess. Coach Harper - Amazing job!

This is the first time I've watched this post game interview and I gotta say I was very impressed by Tennesse's student athletes in defeat. They answered all those questions with poise and grace, so kudos to them, and that's coming from a Gamecock fan.

Even though I felt satisfied with South Carolina’s game winning three pointer to keep their undefeated seasonal streak alive, it still feels sad to see team opponents such as Tennessee shed tears of sadness after heartbreakingly losing the game despite showing signs of toughness and outstanding efforts. Hats off to Tennessee players and coaches.

These are character builder games . Or as Coach Summitt would have said, a teaching moment . Coach Harper learned from the best and I am 100% behind her in building this program back to the power it used to be.

You girls were awesome. I'm a Carolina grad and fan. You deserved a win. Ending crazy.

​@@jerrydilliard1200Only four players to be guarded, the player inbounding the ball would never have had enough time to receive the ball back to make a FG attempt, all the defenders should have had their eyes on the pass from the inbounding player and been able to easily react accordingly and be able to get in the "grill" of any So. Carolina player, just 1.1 second(s), it's almost too tough to even make any sense of it all(?), anyhow if it's So. Car. playing L.S.U. in the final I hope S.C. can prevail over them yet again, lol.

Everyone’s focused on that 3 but those 2 missed free throws before that play is really what cost the game. Tough loss but Tennessee showed they’re a force to be reckoned with!

A genuinely caring person to all her players which will make this Tennessee Lady Vols that much stronger as a team. I’m all for my Gamecocks winning this game but the Lady Vols gave them a wake up call. The Lady Vols played one hell of a game and they should pat themselves on the back. The problem is that the coach and the team didn’t expect Kamilla to shoot that 3 pointer. This is a lesson to be learned and anything is possible. That’s was Kamilla’s first 3 pointer in a game with the Gamecocks from my understanding. Never underestimate your opponents. Anything is possible.

The Lady Vols came all the way back. That last shot was tough. Take this intensity into the tournament. You came all the way back. Great job team and Coach.

The slow start has killed this team all season, especially when Rickea was out in the preseason. If Key, and Powell hit their free throws UT wins this game. I wish Coach Harper would’ve had Key a little higher on defense. I would not chance South Carolina getting a three point shot off. Cardoso got really lucky

The Vols came back from a long way down and just missed it by a hair. I think the tournament looks good for Tennessee though, they were picking good shots in the second half.

Best thing we can hope for is these 2 teams meet again in the Final 4

Coach is devastated.. hope they can bounce back from this crazy loss. Fundamentals are so essential and defense was in short supply on that last play. Learn and grow from it and come back with vengeance.

So proud of the lady vols and coaching staff. Gut-wrenching loss on a lucky shot at the last second. Always things we can improve on or would do differently but we are in a great place to win in the NCAA tournament when it counts the most. Let's go!!! #LVFL

@@dhurt8955 Definitely lucky in the sense that Cardoso had NEVER made a three in her career....Yes, the defense was bad, but considering who made the shot, there was definitely some luck involved.

Tennessee coach is exactly right, in that time remaining situation, every player is a shooter. I’m sure her statement is a afterthought and only if she could have thought of that before,then i think she would have set a man on man defense or (woman on woman) for those who push the gender narrative. I enjoyed the game tremendously and I am really enjoying women basketball now whereas before I didn’t. I’m not a fan of either team, I’m a Carolina Tarheels fan and I wish my team had this kind of fight and talent of players and coaches at this level. Congratulations to both teams.

I was riding with ole miss SC fan…

they took away five out of the six options that you could’ve ran at the end of the game with 1.1 seconds remaining. Lob to the other side of the basket hitting the post on the strong side, passing to someone at the elbow, someone curling to the corner, and a return pass to the inbounder. they played that perfectly. I personally would have said if you had told me that if we were able to take away the top five options in that situation and the shots they’re going to get is a senior who is never taken a three or made a three I take that 100 out of 100 times.

I just love the way Rickea comforted her coach before leaving. Harper shouldn’t beat herself up for this. It was honestly her best coaching performance this season, against the No.1 team in the country. Tennessee isn’t ranked by AP and has played the hardest schedule this season. Shes a young coach in a conference with HoF coaches Mulkey and Staley. She’ll bounce back from this
