I understand that Indiana was the worst team last year but it’s apparent the other teams will step up their games against her knowing that Clark help to adjust the spot light on the WNBA league. Indiana’s defense is terrible.

Hate all you want but Caitlyn Clark is still the highest scoring player in basketball 🏀 history! Beating Pistol Pete’s career highest scoring record that stood for 54 years & Beating Steph Curry’s 3 point shot record that stood since he was in the NCAA! She’s averaging 20 points per game so far as a rookie and the season is just starting AND 20 points per game and not playing the whole game she’s being subbed some to give senior players a chance to play. So laugh all you want but you definitely won’t be when she gets rookie of the year & averaging 20 per game as a rookie in women’s basketball there’s no reason she shouldn’t get rookie of the year. But what’s glorious is she’s not through breaking records yet!!!! In 4 years like she had in college she’ll have all those WNBA records too 👏🏼😂. What really pisses me off is everybody hating on her because she’s WHITE Yeah that’s exactly what’s going on here RACISM BULL 💩! Who you think sold out that basketball arena ? It certainly wasn’t the girls playing on Connecticut. That’s the first time that stadium has been sold out in decades and it was sold out for people to come watch Caitlyn Clark score 20 points per game as a rookie. But in a couple years it’ll be 40 points per game.... Hide and watch Hater 😂

Im a college sports fan in the Big 12, never watched a WNBA game in my life and this is the first one. Personally, I'm not interested in pro sports it just doesn't give me that energy like college sports do- but most of here are watching this because of one person specifically: Caitlin Clark. Good game, was interesting to watch, will take some time getting into watching women sports. On the analysis side of things of how this game went (I am no expert, just observing- I welcome criticism) Indiana needs to play defense. Literally all game I just seen every player looking like deer in headlights waiting for the accident to happen and do nothing. I think this game would have definitely gone differently if that happened. Clark analysis (again, no expert just an observer): its her first game, let alone season, don't expect too much. She did excellent scoring wise. It was pretty clear they did not want her to score off the 3pt line, they guarded her pretty well until she started lighting it up. As Clark gets more comfortable and eventually settled in league, she will find her rythm and do what she did back with Iowa, looking forward to seeing that. Overall, this was dope. Ill give this WNBA thing some watches. Not my drift but Clark has made it possible for a lot who wouldn't watch the WNBA possible so here we are catching highlights. Kudos to her and what she's bring and doing for the WNBA.

@@user-er7jd6jk8y She's very good. Is she over-hyped? Probably. She's still one of the best women to ever play the college game. Will that ever translate to the WNBA? Maybe, maybe not. I think it will, but she's being guarded different than she was in college. It will take time to adjust her offensive game. But eventually she will adjust and put up points and turn the ball over far less. Defensively...nah, she will probably never be at that level. She never has been a great defender, and probably never will be. But there are many elite players in the men's game who are offensive machines who are not good defenders. So long as the offense generated is more impactful than the points given up on defense, she'll be fine.

She's definitely having a hard time adjusting to the new physicality the league brings. They are gonna let her take her 3point shots but restrict everything else. I wasn't a big fan of hers, but I think she will even out as the season continues. Most likely just first game jitters. With that being said, her defense has always been questionable but it's been overlooked because they dominated on the offensive side of the ball, speaking in terms of college ofc. She has always average 5 turnovers a game, I believe that is too much, but it could be worse. And I don't see a consistent 2 point/ midrange shots from her. It's almost like it's 3 point or nothing with her. Not hating at all, but if she can fix at least 1 or 2 of those things, she will be set in stone. Because if all she can offer is some crazy 3 pointers from time to time, teams will just press her once she hits the logo with the ball and that will be all she wrote. Excited to see her next game tho

And she damn sure doesn’t scare me when she falls asleep on defense. Like I said, she is in the pros now and I’m not harsh because this is a tough transition and that’s OKAY. I expected it as common sense but her fans swore she was the third coming of Jesus. If* her game is just chucking up threes and wishing for the best, all defenses are gonna do is press up and slow that down. Hint* her shooting 4/13 from 3s last night or her pre season performance. And I hate to bring this girl up but I fear Paige Bueckers more because she is an all around player. She can score in the paint, deadly mid range, and she can shoot threes. Something I have thought ever since she was drafted about this team is size... They don't really have it and after watching this game I question the drive and work ethic. So many rebounds lost to a shooter missing and just running around whoever was defending them for the rebound. You would have thought this was a preseason game for the Fever with how their drive was throughout the game. Outside of that on the offensive end one of 2 things need to happen. Either design the offense around getting the ball in the post and kicking out to open shooters when the defense collapses as it will with Boston. Or design the whole damn thing around CC and when defenders go out to double her and she passes make sure the others are knocking down shots. Watching an offense where 4 or 5 are out near the 3 point line just running circles around each other hoping the defenders get picked is ridiculous. Pair that with many of them walking or standing around when the ball isn't in their hand nothing is going to go well. That is the one thing that Iowa had that allowed that team to actually work... There was no standing around they were always moving and looking for the ball and open shot. This is the same thing that allowed Golden State to succeed teams just weren't able to keep up with the constant running. You pass the ball around until you finally find the open shot. With this current offense this team will struggle all year. Maybe it is conditioning and they just aren't in "shape" but that isn't an excuse if you are suppose to be a professional.

Sadly, many of you basketball scholars simply do not understand basketball. As I stated several times before, C.C. has not accomplished anything as of yet. She is a rookie, despite her accolades in college. Furthermore, she and team IOWA lost two back to back championship games in 2023 and 2024 respectively. She, along with many, many new rookies are going to bear a lot of rude awakening and growing pains; however, that's expected. Furthermore, playing in the pro is a totally different animal. For those many non basketball fans, basketball is a team sport, which requires all five members to scores and/or making contributions elsewhere if not scoring. One player regardless of his/her scoring prowess CAN'T do it along. Wake up and smell the coffee. Perhaps within 3,4 or 5 years the Indians Fever may be a formidable and wordy opponent. Understandably, many of you are upset, blaming the coach, thinking C.C. can score 60,70, 90 points and win the game by herself. Not in this lifetime, buddy.

Clark is so much better than everybody else, the problem is her role with the new team takes away from what she's the best at and that is scoring . All she did all game was pass it to her vastly inferior teammates instead of doing what she's best at which is taking over a game and shooting lights out . This game was extremely boring .

Did you watch the game? Doesn't sound like it. She went 5 for 15 so had lots of opportunity to score but had an off night. And to be clear, She us a great player. But you and others are deluding yourselves if you think She is "so much better than everyone else". She has one of the most consistent and deadly 3pt shots in the league but that doesn't make her automatically better than everyone else if you understand how the game works.
