Thank you, Cesar. :-) Exciting match with a lot of luck involved. That format, however. I am not really happy with it. 3 frames is already not enough. Then the third "frame" isn't a full one but a repotted black. And this is already the semi final. No reason in my eyes to shorten the matches this much in women Snooker.

I enjoyed that. A couple of issues: Two frames and a respotted black for a semi-final is ridiculous for both the fans and the players. Second, the table was clunky, just like a low-level clubroom one. Observations: Reanne doesn't seem to balance herself before she goes down for a shot. And Mink could benefit from a bit of beefing up and some strengthening (and maybe some elevator shoes, LOL)..

It not due to fitness etc. It's often a TV Airtime issue. The ladies game is growing steadily, but it doesn't yet have a following that warrants the viewing figures for longer matches. And because there are less high-quality professional opponents, the longer matches can take a long time to complete. That's not an insult. These two are great players. But most of the ladies tour are nowhere near the standard of Reanne & Mink (they'd all beat me and all of my friends, though!) All abilities can enter this event, so the standard for the earlier rounds would be far lower than this. Snooker is a tough sport and if the balls don't run right, you can be looking at 1 hour plus per frame. Things will change in the coming years. More competition and higher prize money will mean more women will take up snooker as a profession. That will result in higher viewing figures, high quality matches from round one and, ultimately, longer matches.

@@mattthompson4836 are you sure about that ? Surely the sport comes first and the TV stations decide what to broadcast. Is it really down to the TV stations to dictate how many frames in a snooker match? If that is so then it's so wrong, the snooker governing body should decide how many frames in a match. Also how does that explain the fact that women play a lot less frames than men in competitions that aren't on TV?

What I noticed is they share the luck. Reanne all the good; Mink mostly bad. That is an unwinnable situation. Then too Mink can become so under pressure as to miss a pink off the spot by 6 inches. However she has more natural talent than Reanne and is much prettier and cuter. She also apologises too much.

Safeties are far too easy in snooker to make it a good game. You don't have to hide behind a ball like in 9 ball; you just have to leave a fairly long stretch of green

Potting is far too easy in 9-ball to make it a good game. You don't have to be precise; you just have to be the first person to pot a ball and it's almost guaranteed that you'll run out.

Both of their safety plays are atrocious. Any guy in the top 100 would wipe the floor against both of them.

Why are women separated from men when it comes to player snooker? What 'property' of being a woman means that they cannot compete against men on exactly the same playing field? Sure, at the moment, we might not have the established skill level from women simply because they haven't been involved with the highest level of the game for long enough and we don't have the depth of female talent that men have - but that will change. Can someone explain the problem to me. Thank you.

there is absultly no reason why females can not play as well as the males if not better as females are more patient

"cushions seem too bouncy".... it's a professional table, top of the line, 100% perfect condition. of course they're going to be bouncy. don't make excuses for an overhit. reality is though, the ladies are very talented, and are quite good. but remove the clickbait thumbnail. had she lifted both feet off the ground it would have been an illegal shot, resulting in a foul to the opponent. anyone with a clue about snooker would know this.
