I was at that game in 1989. I used to cleaning the Olympic Stadium for the Montreal Expos. That happened about 1:30 am in the morning. The game ended about 2 am before Rick Dempsey hit a homer against Denis Martinez in inning 22nd, 1-0 Dodgers final score. It became the longest baseball game in MLB history. So, . Youppi decided he had enough of waiting, so he went inside his locker room and changed into "pyjamas". I didn't blame him. It was the 20th inning or so. First time in history a mascot was throwing from a baseball game. We finished the stadium clean up around 12 pm not as normally was around 7 am. I miss Youppi. And so my Montreal Expos.

Rick Dempsey was the one that got on base for the greatest homer ever! He was a great pitcher handler, and hella baseball smarts.... Skills.... None. Lol.

The longest game was 26 innings and would be longer between the Boston Braves and the Brooklyn Robins on May 1, 1920. Both starting pitchers pitched all 26 innings in the 1-1 tie called because of darkness in the 3-hour 59-minute game. Night games would begin in 1935.

First I heard of this. What I remember is that he was allowed back in but could not be near the Dodgers' dugout. Note that this happened in the 11th and the game went 22 innings. Longest game in Expos history as they lost 1-0. That's Bryn Smith the pitcher and Willie Randolph at the plate. This was the longest game (22 innings) in MLB without a walk issued by one of the teams (Dodgers). I was there for all 22. Sadly, Youppi was not. (* edited, thanks SamtheBravesFan!)

This is amoung the funniest things I've seen in an mlb game. Whoever played Youppi should receive an Emmy for this performance.

Youppi is the greatest mascot in Sport history. Today, of course, he inspires the Canadians, but his origin and true love is the Expos. He's waiting patiently for the day when baseball returns to Montreal, and he can once again don the Expo cap while groping the attractive fans who so adore him. All hail, YOUPPI!!!!!!!!

Youppi deserved better.

He could have something a bit better. As of today, June 26, 2021, the Montreal Canadiens are a couple of days away from starting the Stanley Cup finals, and Youppi is now the mascot of the storied NHL franchise.

Truth is Since 2005 he has become the mascot of the Montreal canadiens (1st and only in 100 years+). Only mascot to ever been thrown out of a game . Only mascot to have switched from a pro sport to another. In 2022 he was inducted into the mascot hall of fame.(1st canadian mascot)

NOBODY ejects Youppi from a game! >:-( Let's bring baseball back to Montreal!!!

I do feel bad that you're lost your baseball team... but be honest with yourself if y'all had a chance to get another team in their do y'all think y'all will support them?....will the citizens of Montreal foot the bill for a new stadium you know one of your biggest problems was Olympia Stadium... that was a dumpster fire

Umpires can eject anyone. That includes fans and I've heard of the sound man getting ejected in a minor league game. I think he was playing "Three Blind Mice" after a call and the ump took objection to that.

There was an incident at Dodger Stadium when the umpires made an unpopular call ending a Dodger rally. Between the inning the organist started playing "Three blind mice" for which she was tossed from the Stadium. 🐀😎😯😊
