Ron Kulpa, the umpire, is the absolute worst. Hes one of those that just ruin the game. Look up what he did in the Rangers vs. Astros a few years ago. You can see him say "I can do what I want" when he keeps looking over at the dugout trying to find arguments with players. Total asshat

I am a Yankees fan but that pitch wasn’t a strike! It was too low! Kulpa always has an inconsistent strike zone and he’s always off no matter where you put him on the field!

Other sports: eject player for flagrant and unnecessary rules violations Baseball: “you disagreed with me”

Umpires have got to consider to a point at least a player might just be mad at himself. But they take it real personal!

Watching all these Short videos on the the conduct of the umpires showing how the calls they make is the reason I stop watching baseball anymore. Until start holding the umpires accountable for there sorry calls. But then again I believe that a lot of the umpires are on the take just my opinion.

It’s time for a change. Umpires need to be held accountable for bad calls. There needs to be after game reviews, comments by the leave, public fines/suspensions, etc. It might not help immediately but after it starts to hit pocketbooks it might start to change.

I think a new rule should be added .If both Teams managers agree they can remove the Hp Ump .These umps have to much power and there wrong most of the time ...Honestly there terrible and cause more violence in a baseball game then the players that are usually correct

I'm not much one for baseball, but it's pretty obvious that an automated strike zone is entirely achievable and would eliminate a MASSIVE number of ejections and make winning more about skill at the same time.

@@LemonStir Its already being done in AAA. They just use it to confirm calls, and its working great. Would take a simple tweak of the software to have it call the pitches outright. Keep up.

Sometimes we don't give the umpires enough credit. I remember that A's/Blue Jays game and if I recall correctly, the home plate umpire was calling a good game and obviously just grew tired of hearing about it from the Blue Jays' side. If your manager just got ejected for arguing balls and strikes, then you can't bitch about the next pitch when it's clearly off the plate. I would have throw Strowman and Martin out, too.

But the umps work hard on their image. It's now called "Building an UMPire" Maybe they count who tosses the most and who looks coolest

Full time carers for umpires. Someone needs to change their diaper or give them their bottle when they get a call wrong, they clearly can't take care of themselves

In Finland we have our own version of Baseball (Finnish baseball). It's nice that our umpires are secure and don't have ego issues. They also know that they aren't the stars of the show. If no one remembers their name after the game they've done a good job. Also players are A LOT less aggressive. Last year in men's top league not a single player was tossed out in about 200 games of regular season or during play offs. Yellow card worning, receive two such warnings and you'll get a red card and you're tossed out, was issued 43 times. No one was stupid enough to smack talk too much after receiving a warning. Nobody did anything to warrant a direct red card. In three highest men's and women's league + highest boy's and girl's leagues combined there was only one incident where someone got direct red card. There were few cases with double yellow.

Carapazza is the only other one I can think of who is close on the "arrogance" meter.....but holy crap, is Ron Kulpa ever an arrogant you-know-what....I am pretty sure that there are many players around the league who would like to knock that grin off his face

We're in often. At some point even Montoyo freaks out. Whereby that is complaining in comparison. It didn't work out for us, that's why. New York game is legendary. Aka why some should wear a tape on their mouth (PiiiWiiii)

With this many players tossed; the team managers could probably agree together to toss the umpire and void all of the tosses. If both managers agree to it, the league will have a hard time exacting a penalty. Assuming one of the teams is a home team, it is legally possible to order the umpire off the field by ordinary law.

Hey umps, it's not just because you wear big pads that it means you're big men.

I've said this before and keep saying it. It goes for both Baseball and football. Players got tossed for either kicking dirty or saying something to a offical or Umpire or bumping or touching a official or Umpire but if an official or Umpire touches a player they don't get in trouble at all for it. That isn't fare to the players. I say they need to change that rule

Some of the some of these umpires should not be umpires. Some of these umpires they should investigated. The umpire who should really be investigated is the one that's been throw out some of the fans. If an umpire throws out a fan because he/she yells out that he sucks then he should not be an umpire. If an umpires throws out a player then it should be reviewed by the other three base umpires.

Not gonna lie I know being an ump is a thankless job but they need to wipe those smirks off their face
