great review ua usual though. i think i'm gonna get me a unit ,works really great on mono sources wich requires low and low mid from what i hard !!! The best feature is that croossing frequencies from those first two knobs in the spirit of a gml 8k ... It would be great reviewing a special eq section ,one against another showing their strenghts and weakness though...??? what you think ??? Or maybe if you have the digital replicas comparing those...

Hey Czar, thanks for the video. Would a pair of Kush Electra’s work as my only Mix Buss EQ?

I have the 19" electra, it's pretty good on the mix bus, doesn't need much. I just take out a little mud in the low mids and add a little high shelf. Sometimes I'll do a low cut with a low boost, which is awesome. It can get a little harsh on the bus IMO. I couple it with either the Audioscape SSL or the Summit DCL-200, depending on the mix. I recently heard a pair of KT pultec clones on the mix bus, excellent. They can be had for $250 a piece. Do you have a good compressor for the bus?

Audiocazarnet. I've been looking at 500 series eq's to mainly use on drum samples and samples taken from vinyl. Do you have any suggestions on which one would be best? I've been looking at the, Lindell Audio PEX500 pultec style EQ Trident 80B4 band Parametric EQ Tonelux EQ5P 4 band EQ Lindell Audio MID-500 pultec meq style and this the Kush Electra Any suggestions on which would be best suited for cleaning samples up and enhancing desired parts of samples of different instruments?

+Alex Dawson I wouldn't immediately rule out the pultec's. Not good for clean up work. Trident and Electra and tonelux are the most versitale. Tonelux does not have a high pass filter so keep that in mind. But those 3 would be give you the best options for cleaning up frequencies and boosting.

+Per Gunnar Vik Mjølhus the 511 is not an eq, it's a mic pre. If your which of those two I like I'd say the Maag
