    It's obvious to me, the 2A first. Distressor might have an "opto" mode but it's not an LA2A IMO

    I love the la 2a but personally if I had to pick between the two I’d gor 11 76. But I would love to see how it would sound with the art solo multi voice compressor

    Brother trust me on this, try the blueash and blackash. I noticed that you have reviewed a few BRA plugins but not those. Humor me and give them a try, they spank! (in a very good way)!

  • @teddym2808
    @teddym28083 күн бұрын

    Hmm, BRA seem very adverse to a high pass in the detection path, which I rely on so much these days. Heck, I love it even more when a comp plugin has a high AND low pass in the detector path, so you can precisely control which frequency range triggers the broadband compression. So much more control. Lovely song by the way, so nice to hear Christian music on a plugin channel. Thank you for that! Btw, the plugin sounds good, I am just saying which extra features I would like. But currently on the sale at $19 it's a bargain.

    I mean at least with the Softube Tube tech, you get a 220hz low cut in the detection path. Things like this matter when you are trying to stand out in the field of LA2A, although the Softube is an emulation of an emulation but they have a direct LA2A emu as well. But the one I am going to recommend "overall", out of everything I have tried, and btw which is $49 atm, is the UAD native LA2A collection, with excellent features and multiple models. Great collection, and my pick for the LA2A emulations.

    I feel like I have had enough LA2A to last me a lifetime. I just can't get excited about them anymore, nor 1176 after the Softube and UAD which are so good. You know what I truly love from BRA? Their "ash" series, blue and black compressors. Those things are crazy good and not the typical emulation.

    Do you know if this is acting like an AD/DA device by doing some sort of conversion? I talked to IK Multimedia, and they said it is NOT! I use all Lynx AD/DA devices and DO NOT want some crappy conversion going on afterwards! When I read the box, it seems it is doing something, as it is talking about the 120db Dynamic Range etc... What's up with this? I asked about this after they replied to my email and said it is NOT converting, with a follow-up question of why it is saying the 120db Dynamic Range info, and they stop responding! What is going on here?

    I’ve never had an opportunity to try the Sony but I’ve owned the GA-8000 and the warm. The warm wasn’t in the same league, it was an easy choice for me. I ran them both thru a Bae 1073 and a 737.
