Actually there are a small number of guests people love watching on Conan. Norm Macdonald, Bill Burr, Jeff Goldblum, Aubrey Plaza, Timothy Olyphant, Kevin Nealon, Louis CK, Will Arnett are some of them. But yeah, people absolutely don't mind Conan carrying the entire show on his shoulder.

Maan. I think we all just thought that. Conan is really an improvisation king. He can make ir work without being an idiot.

Conan was made for social media. I'm so glad we were able to have him in the age of digital. Love his remotes, love his attitude, love his crew... Just everything. Just an authentic person. I feel he has more freedom since moving to TBS.

Moreover, he is the only talk show host that has properly realized the importance of the digital age, and has adapted his content to meet it. The Johnny Carson format is outdated at this point, but every other host is trying to hang onto it instead of adapting the way Conan has with his podcast, travel show, and half-hour format.

The sad thing is Jimmy Fallon (whom I don't like) is crushing it in the internet space also! Somehow his segments with his high profile A list celebrities, (unlike Conan's Bill Burr & Tim Olyphant) also translate well to the internet! It's just not fair! Conan always came off as a niche guy with a niche audience... He has remotes and Jordan Schalnsky which is about it. Unlike Fallon,s musical impressions mad libs theater etc ..

Conan is a great affirmative force in the late night universe. He loves the genre, he doesn't let politics or the vox populi to touch it, he is a self declared scholar of late night television. I bet he saw all of Craig. And I believe what Craig did with the late night format didn't really make that much of an impression on him as it did on some of us. Because Craig is all about being just one second away from tearing his microport of his body and walking away, Craig is about excercising freedom, Conan is about commitment. But because of his commitment and his knowledge of the entire late night universe including Craig, Conan is able to channel all of that hate for his own position and the miserable conditions he is given.

So basically the audience found out the guy wouldn't be there at that moment that Conan revealed it. I felt super bad for the guy and was just trying my hardest to pump him up by clapping like a lunatic, mirroring him as he did his dance. I tried to start a "co-co" chant after some of his self-loathing jokes which no one else picked up on. Conan noticed it and saw an opening to kill some time. The guy is damn good. Always has been.

It is a mark of the sheer breathe of Conans experience, that when he says hes screwed, he sits down, just like the rest of the crowd, equalizing all of them, and immediately creating a tremendous fascination for what could happen next

Conan, the Only show where you need to tell the Audience to STOP the Laughter.

Oh that is absolutely true, i cant remember where, i think it was in an interview or the documentary but he said that there are times that he cant continue the show because the audience just kept cheering his name. And you can see it especially in the last episode of tonight show

Conan is at his absolute best when he has to improve and has zero f*cks to give. I still remember his last couple of days hosting the tonight show after he was fired, he just let it loose and it was crazy and amazing.

I am in Slovakia and I am a total Conan fanboy. That's how good he is. Watched nearly every video from the very first show to his podcast. He is pure comedy gold and the chemistry with all his staff and guests and his energy and performance for all those years is beyond amazing. There is no one to compare him to. Others are just there but Conan is a category of its own.

Conan during the writers strike made spinning his wedding ring entertaining. No guest no problem! Guy's a living legend

Conan is the MVP of talk show hosts and I respect his (and his crew's) level of ingenuity to get a great show going

Actually, "pick a random guest from the audience to interview" would be a really fun regular thing to have. It would showcase his interviewing and comedy chops. I bet it would become really popular.

Kind of a monumental moment in TV history when you break it down. No guests...no musical act...and, yet...I cannot stop watching. Why? Because Conan carries the show. He is just masterful here with his audience interaction, witty humor, and sincerity. Fantastic job Conan!

Literal icon. Conan handled it it with A+ Class.

Damn Conan really has a professional audience. One might argue better than *Ellen* or *Oprah*

Well .they respect conan because he is real and funny...unlike liking others because they give out some gifts and shts

I watch Conan for years, because of him. He's really entertaining and as real as it gets.

This was awesome. The whole episode was awesome. We watch conan for conan, not the guests. No one does it like Coco!! 👏 👏

Conan is the only talk show host to genuinely make me laugh.

I know it's a Paul Rudd bit but I would of loved it if they showed a clip of "Mac and Me"

I can never get enough of Conan. He could have just taken a skeleton camera crew and given us a tour of his surroundings and I would have just sat there and watched. The most underrated comedian and host of all time. CONAN THE BARBARIAN!!! 😂😂😂😂

You gotta hand it Conan, only he can make an announcement for a guest's no-show entertaining.

This is why I LOVE Conan. I found Conan during the writers strike. And all the late night shows were struggling. They all kind of made fun of it, but when things don’t go right with Conan. He leans into it. I tuned in every night to see how many seconds /times a penny spinned on his desk. It was insane, non-sensical and hilarious.

I have been watching conan since the beginning. Having these videos online has really helped bring lots of laughter during this weird time. I would watch Conan and Andy interview a box of pasta - always brilliant.

Only Conan. I haven't watched late-night television since Letterman. Even still, Conan is clearly the best and most naturally gifted and entertaining host on the air Hands down.

I'd say Johnny Carson, David Letterman, then Conan.

I wonder if this was the impetus of his HBO Max variety Show, like this is when he realized he could do just as good, if not better without a guest or strict format, just Conan and Co having fun.
