Subcompact tractors can do some amazing things. Yes, they may take a little longer to do it but after 800hrs it's proved to be the best work buddy I've ever had.

I love those comments! I’ll never understand a person that feels the need to run down other people. I can tell you the whole “lawnmower” size is exactly what makes the BX the perfect machine for me!
I bought the BX1870 because it is an awesome lawn tractor. With the bucket up I can cut around the base of an average sized eastern pine tree. Its light enough to not leave tire tracks in the yard and big enough to haul dirt and move junk around with ease.
Damn that thing is fast. Can't believe you did all that in less than three minutes. Nice job.

@@Trialnerror Lol. Seriously though, that was a cool video. How big of an area was that? I'm about to clear out some lots around my house. Around 2.5 acres. I've got too much going on at work so I'll probably hire someone to do it, but I would like to learn how to do it myself. How'd you learn to operate one of those? Are they fairly straightforward? I guess the closest thing I've worked on like that is a old farm tractor when I was a teenager, mowing and moving things around for my grandfather. And that's been a while ago now.

@@bccsivxx-xxivvii It's a little over an acre in total but it's a VERY steep hill (video never does grades justice). I also did the front lawn with the BX which is close to another acre. I just learned by using it. Biggest concern is rolling it over but if you're working flat ground that risk is much lower than it was for me. After 800hrs of seat time in this one, I know exactly what it can and cant do. Just wear a seatbelt and have fun with it!

As someone who grew up on a 200 acre farm the BX is a tiny tractor to me but a tractor none the less and it can clearly get some real work done. I've loved my little Kubota L3700SU loader tractor around my house. It looks like your yard is really taking shape after the trees came down. I hope you get grass or something started to help with erosion.

Grass has started but the topsoil I got was very heavy in clay and that did more to prevent erosion than the grass did. Thanks for continuing to watch!

Yea it is! I wish it was mine but it's my brothers. Back when cars were art.
My BX25 has been very handy. And I don't mow with it either. But digging tranches, planting trees, moving logs, snow removal, patching the gravel road when it washes out in a thunderstorm, plowing the garden, and on and on. If you need more than a BX, then get something more than a BX. You shouldn't criticize your little brother just because he isn't your big brother.

That's kinda the point, they can do anything if you're willing to invest the time vs. invest the money in a rental.

Sold it. Wasn't a fan after using it and bought a zero turn. Much more efficient/productive.
My machine could do that in 1/3 of the time and it only cost $875,000.

Well, when I got mine at MB tractor in 2016, the guy told me it wasn't a construction machine. I got that. But it is much better than a lawn tractor with a wagon trailing behind it !!!!

@@michaeljulius5895 I bought mine at MB as well! I worked it like it was a D9 dozer and she's still going strong.
I have a BX2230 and loved it but my Hydraulic system screwed up. The unit for raising and lowering the deck and 3 point hitch screwed up and will not allow the bucket to operate.
