I put a Rekluse clutch on a KTM, will NEVER work on a dirty bike again (unless I had to). Remember: Taking a dirty bike to the shop, is like going to the butt doctor and not wiping. How's the weather in Canada?

@@scoremxcom Well, part of the service I expect from my shop it is a bike wash, I’m too lazy to do it myself. But I live in a dry area and almost never take it to the shop all muddy. If I lived in England where there is a lot of mud in the trails, agree, you’d better wash it before taking it to the shop.

awsome video. i have a husaberg te300 and have been testing out the springs as well to find what works best for me i was using the red spring but found it was really difficult to corner in the tight technical stuff with it hitting the powerband as soon as you come around a corner, ive now changed to the green spring with the screw all the way out and have found it to be alot easier in corners with the powerband not hitting straight away. they have a blue and white spring if you can get hold of those i would like to see what your experiences with those are .

From my one ride on a Husqvarna TE250 (2017 model), the stock yellow spring still felt too slugish and i felt as though i had to rev the bike out alot before it hit the powerband. But I never got to try out any powervalve adjustments and I was used to riding a Yamaha YZ85 at the time which has no powervalve so the power comes on super early and super fast

Wow, your explanation is way off vegas not how these springs work at all. You have two separate springs that control your PV opening. Primary spring controls when (what rpm) the PV begins to open, this is the threaded screw thing. The tiny spring adjusts the final opening of PV and how quickly it reaches Full Open. So you set these two independently of one another but they can work together, but there is no crossover. Red spring will allow full open at an rpm range which produces peak HP for your bike other springs are less and less, turn dial (main spring) simply adjusts the rpm it kicks in and begins to open

Matthew Perez Hey sorry for the late reply but I have a husky 125 and it does not have the interchangeable red yellow and green springs but it does have the little brass screw bolt or whatever you call it that you can turn in or out. If I turn that out it will only effect when the power valve opens but NOT how fast it opens? So are you saying that that screw only effects what rpm it opens? Thanks man I thought I’d do a little playing around with it and I want to know what I’m getting into haha

@Matthew Perez thats not true. There is a diffrence on 3.5 horsepower from spring change on dyno runs to the wheel. The red just lags torque but has maximum horsepower. Green has maximum torque but lags horsepower Yellow have torque and hp but not as much as the red.

Its simple. Red spring takes rpm fastest but lags the torque but it will have the hoghest horsepower output to the wheel. Yellow spring is a balance between holding rpms and raise it. = best solution for having torue and horsepower. Green spring takes rpm slowest but holds the maximum torque 1 turn out on the spring opens 150 rpm sooner. 1 turn in on the spring opens 150 rpm later. A short silencer will block 1500 rpm off the top rpm.

Hey bud, enjoy your vids. I have an “off topic” question regarding your car and trailer. I tow very small lightweight trailer behind a 2014 Ford Fusion. I noticed that trailer behind you with the corrugated sides and a very small compact vehicle. Is that your tow rig? Is your trailer also a camper? How much does that trailer weigh? Any info and experience you have with this would be awesome as I’m stuck with this car for a few years and I am interested in your set up.

I do not think you think you know what you think you know! The Power Valve springs alter the revs at which the power valve is fully open! The adjustment screw controls the revs at which the power valve opens! So the two won’t bring your sticks together, they are seperate but work with each other, so change one thing at a time, work on what you like, then adjust your spring tension to suit that power delivery from your power valve, for most and best all round conditions the std spring yellow power spring is best esp, red won’t be as easy to ride in adverse conditions.

I found that for my ktm 2 strokes the best adjustment for the power band is all the way in then two turns or 2.5 turns out Also the air screw in the carburator play an important role for 2 stroke performance
