I agree with Peter's idea of the 3 USGA public courses. Excellent !!
Mike, I’m so glad you put this program together. I certainly missed this classic team and really enjoy listening to them again. Great job!

Thanks for kind comments Bill and for watching an listening! Hope you are doing great...appreciate subscription and sharing with your buddies!! All the best
Love the open honest discussion these two bring to the golf game
I always enjoyed Peter Allister's coverage of the British Open. He described what was occurring in a simple and factual manner without speculation or hyperbole.
Longer hitters will always be longer. The quality of the athlete has improved over time.

The drivers should have NEVER ever gotten to 460CC I said 3 years ago the USGA should stop it at 330cc head size or they would regret letting the equipment get out of hand!! I was right !!!! Kostis is right in building 3 special courses for the US Open, with the LIV money it can be done, I truly think that's a good idea myself! I quit watching the PGA tour a few years ago just because of the drive and pitch , drives roll out an extra 30-60 yards and they wonder why the ball goest to far???? make it wet as hell no ball roll out, thick rough, narrow fairways, slow greens, that's a test !

thanks Shane...pretty clever idea for sure by Peter!!
The smaller crowds didn't bug me nearly as much as all the commercials. Mike Whan said they would have less commercial "interruptions". All they did was increase the amount of those Play Through commercials which is total BS!
Great tip about throwing the club down the fairway.
Peter is "spot on" about the golf course fairway layout for the PGA Championship. Leave the classic old golf courses alone for these tournaments.
great video
What about the Rory embedded drop?
Loved Peter’s idea to build USGA facilities. But couldn’t they also grow the fairway grass out some and let the greens get dried out? The rollout on the drives are sometimes 60+ yards. Or maybe mow the fairways backwards like Augusta to combat the distance?
How about bringing Bobby Clampett ( Mr. Lag) into the flow of your excellent in depth series? Bud N
No attendance whatsoever! Members only!
The guy who attempted to cancel Wyndham Clark for Tweeter-Wrongthink is Will Bardwell: Civil rights lawyer by day and golf writer by night, according to his twitty profile.
I need more of these two with Farrety! The CBS and NBC teams are a snooze fest, except Colt Knost, he’s 👍
USGA should be limited to munis… that would elevate the game across the country
I was watching a Utuber who was complaining about the LA Golf club being a small footprint. Does anyone know what he is talking about. I thought the TV people had said it was a long course.
Can we fix McCords audio, like he’s in the back shed…😂
As to sound, the droning of the aircraft overhead caused me to turn off the sound for a lot of the broadcast on Sunday.
The course did look hard, but it just didnt feel like an open. Maybe it was the broadcast idk, but i was so excited for the open and it just didnt do it for me this year.
Ball isn’t going to far. The ball rolls on the fairways too much. You should not get 50+ yards of roll

I have been saying this for years!!! It's not the ball going to far , it's the concrete hard fairways with super long roll out, make everything wet and slow and you will have a true test of golf as these guys will be hitting long irons into par 5's not wedges! The 2013 US OPEN was hard and fast and Phil was in contention then it rained, i think for 2 days and made the course wet and slow and everyone went backward because they were hitting long irons into the greens and they were not getting the roll out like days before, and the guys that hit fairways and greens rose UP the leader board and Justin Rose picked that place apart with precision while everyone was still trying to overpower it with strength and distance and were getting caught up in the deep wet rough. That tournament right there showed me the PGA is very wrong with HARD & FAST set up !!!
They made the course easier instead of more difficult.......maybe the USGA didn't run the event? Also, it seems the membership did what they wanted, keep people (riff raff) out.
Can we get Gary a microphone?

I saw a copy of the membership rules…..sorry but crazy restrictive and to have pretty only members and their friends to walk the course pretty much is crap……glad it will be another 16 years
I guess its my age. I am sorry, but I call it the Pitch and Putt tour. Wide fairways, players books, forgiving clubs-you hit the ball as far as you are able. Then play your best short game and putt. The anouncers were adequate at best and hard to hear. The great LA Country club touted loudly every few minutes. Okay Kostis you build 3 courses for tournamnets. Does your tour become elitist for some one who wants to see a tournament up close and personnal, but don't make your money.

@@BenevolentPleasureGoddess One of my favorite courses in Toledo, Ohio is just like what you tallk about. The fairways are lined by dense tree lines. If you are a slicer or hooker, bring a box of balls...lol

I played in 1970 - 90’s … to a 2 handicap. I wasn’t considered long. It was rare that I would play with anyone hitting 7 irons or less into par 5’s. If I had ‘todays’ technology & equipment I would’ve been a +2.
The fescue doenst make sense to me. It’s all about luck around the greens
I miss both these guys on tv. Nance and his crew are pitiful. Assinger and that clown with him are worse.
This Covid format isn't good. 2nd video I tried to watch like this and it is a no go situation. Nothing like mailing it in.

sorry about that...what about it was a no go Dave? We're all in different locations for the summer but have a bunch of great stuff on the course we've shot for the next few episodes ...
I used to have great respect for Peter Kostis. Teaming up with sh** for brains Mc Cord has changed my mind.

@@bobbys4327 Your conclusion is illconsidered. It would be easy to have played golf for decades, and never heard of either of them. Perhaps a better thought might have been that I don't pay much attention to golf on television, which would be correct. I'm an avid golfer...not very good...but avid.
