While both the cars are amazing, my choice would be the Nevera, it's literally my favourite hypercar. I personally think acceleration would be more useful on public roads rather than top speed but it's just my opinion, other's opinion may vary...

I'd go for the Nevera, but the jesko will be my gf'z choice.
Almost won with no race fuel and an extra passenger. Koenigsegg Jesko is like the kid that shows up 30 minutes late , didn't know there was an exam today and still managed to get an A+... incredible.

Both cars are legendary feats of engineeeing, but the Jesko easily has the noise and gearshift madness for both of them together. Besides Goodwood is a terrible place to test cars by horsepower

Wouldnt have made aa seconds worth of difference on street tires. Jesko is rear wheel driven. At 12-1300hp, you can barely keep the tires from spinning at full beans. Forget about adding another 400hp.

Both my favourite supercar manufacturers, why does it always have to be this stupid tribal "if you love one then you must hate the other" BOTH are bloody awesome, both pushing the boundaries, both have amazing intricate attention to the smallest details. When pronouncing the name 'Rimac', the 'c' at the end is not pronounced like 'k'. It's actually pronounced like 'ts', similar to the 'ts' in 'bits'. So, it would be pronounced as 'Ri-mats'.

Unreal the Jesko is. 1200 horsepower and rear wheel drive and it was only a second behind the EV with almost 2000 horsepower and allwheel drive. Let's see them compete, when the Jesko has all it's 1600 horsepower.

Mate Nevera doesnt stand a chance on proper race track against any Koeniseng, its just to heavy, and in Nubregring i am not even sure it could do 7:30 lap to be honest

@@danijelhrup9715 you dont need to go 350kmph for Nurbergring or any other Race track, Neverea cant brake for long time and it cant carry the speed and with constant accelerating with that weight and hp your tires wont last half of lap on Nurbugring and then you will need to go realy slow. Nevera is not sports car,
no way with that impressive time and koenigsegg didn't even use the proper fuel for the maximum potential😂Incredible engineering

All that falls in water when you know the Nevera is on Michelin PS tires. I'm a huge gearhead but that EV is faster than a twin turbo V8 Hypercar and has a longer range lol. Idk what is Koenigsegg trying to prove. They make the same cars for 15 years.

They're both amazing machines, whether or not the Koenigsegg woukd have won with E85 (which most definitely is available in UK petrol stations, not all of them but it's not hard to find .... or maybe Mr Koenigsegg should have brought some with him) I hope the Nivera's record here (not just fastest production EV but fastest production street legal car ever) up the Goodwood Hill silences the haters who think EVs only excel on the drag strip

Strange that you claiming there's plenty of filling stations that sell e85 fuel without even attempting to name a few, especially in the vicinity of Goodwood.🤷♂️ And you think Koenigsegg wouldn't know who to talk to in regards to e85 suppliers in the UK? Like really? Mr Von Christian should have brought his own? Do you even understand the logistics involved to ship such fuel from one country to the next? Not to mention the customs policy in the country of entry. If it was that simple, do you honestly think that Mr Von Christian would haven't considered that option? You make it sound like he's dumb for not thinking such... and that you could've done better?🤓 FYI in the original Goodwood run video, Koenigsegg did indicate that e85 was NOT available at the time of the run.

I'm not saying there was cheating but I am suspicious that the Nevera took the record from the Regera in the first place then the Regera comes back and miraculously takes 2.5s off it's own previous best... was it standard? Besides this is the Goodwood Hillclimb and the Regera's best time is 51s so Regera or Jesko at the moment the crown belongs to Rimac .... and incidentally the open class (not production or street legal) also belongs to an EV the McMurty Spéirling with a bonkers 39s besting even the Nevera by a full 10s that's like 20%
You know what the Nevera doesn't need, "race electricity".... :D So unless Shell starts selling race gas at their stations, it doesn't count. It's just as stupid as listing the Hellcat times that requires race fuel, drag tires, the passenger seat thrown out, perfect temperature _and_ drag track surface, just ridiculous. The _only_ argument in Jesko's favour here is that it had a passenger, which Nevera might not have had. Also; It has taken EV's less than 20 years of development to beat ICE cars 150 years of development, so the ICE hypercars of today is probably the last generation.
Goodwood isn't long enough to really make a fair comparison, let's see them both around the Nurbergring. My bet is on the Rimac all day long.

Battery technology is constantly improving, the theoretical energy density of lithium is a multiple higher, so if obstacles unlocking this higher energy density can be overcome, EV´s will clearly surpass ICE performance cars.

Despite the incredible abilities of a range of hypercars, Koenigsegg wipes the floor with all of them. The body styling is unmatched; the innovative machinery is unmatched. And all that from a tiny outfit from Sweden. It's as improbable as ABBA coming in an arguable second as the best pop song writers in history.

I'm a gas lover and love the rumble of V8 V10 V12s but I wouldn't take those cars on a longer drive. It would be stressful as hell. Rimac is a perfect beast for every day driving.

I’m sure the Jesko Attack could’ve won especially if the car was running on E85. They’re very close anyhow so it’s hard to say if more HP would’ve improved the time by like 2 seconds but it probably would. Both are incredible cars and offer varying experiences to partake!

@@srinitaaigaura That’s not necessarily true but both of these cars are meant to be road legal and set some records. Remember there’s also some other Hypercars with mostly formula 1 technology onboard as well.

The AMG One did an astonishing 6:35 at the ring, which tells you about the AWD and its revolutionary suspension design and modern tires, but a GT3 driving 24 h of Nurburgring at race pace, not qualifying pace does the same part of the track in 6:27-6:28 easy, with far fewer horses.

@@srinitaaigaura Well it really depends which car you choose and what set-up the car has because otherwise most of them will get destroyed depending on which track you race on by these newer track toys. I couldn’t imagine how much better the AMG-one would be on slick tires but unfortunately they didn’t do a run with them despite it being available.

it won't because the car is traction limited not power, look how many times the back stepped out. the driver wasn't even on 100% Throttle all the time.
i feel like the jesko could beat it with its full hp the 1600.
I'm eagerly awaiting the GMA T50's time. 'Add Lightness...'. Good Vid anyhow 👌 However; the viscerality of the Jesko is seducing. And Christians tribute to his father by naming the probably fastest analogue hypercar alive today after Jesko is truly moving. Way to go 🏆

the problem for gas cars is simply this: CG, moment of inertia, torque and efficiency cannot be matched when compared to an EV drive train- and from this point ONWARD- the EV advantage will only get larger... as the ice tech stagnates. ice tech has reached the apex of development. it's the proverbial 'horse & buggy'... it's about as good as it's EVER going to get.

Not just for drag strips (a criticism often leveled at high performance EVs) it's got race developed suspension, infinitely variable torque vectoring (monitored thousands of times a second) and its admittedly not inconsiderable weight is carried very low. Nico Rosberg described it as the best handling hypercar he's ever driven and then he put his money where his mouth is and bought one.

@@Phuong_Nguyen_ I imagine it will do well, it's got a power advantage over the current production street legal King of the Ring but even tho I'm a fan of the Nevera I can't see it beating the Merc AMG One.... even tho the One is technically a road car it was clearly designed and built as a track car, it's way more focused on just doing that than the Nevera is.... by all accounts the Rimac is a pussy cat and very easy to drivecat sensible speeds round town and out on normal roads
If it does not produce symphony for the ears, then i dont care how fast it is. Engine and exhaust sound is a big part of the experience.

People need to stop with this archaic negative rhetoric towards EVs. Nevera is a different kind of animal. There is a reason why people like Rosberg immediately bought one after driving it. Jesko is a sledge hammer and Nevera is a samurai sword. Both will kill you with one hit.

And the McMurty Spéirling is 8s quicker than that .... EIGHT SECONDS on 1.16 mile course, makes the Porsche look almost pedestrian ..and wasn't it the GT3 Cup track only and that's not just because of the slicks... Admittedly it does show what a well sorted chassis the GT3 has

If it was me I'd buy a somewhat sensible supercar for the road. Then with what I'd saved instead of buying either of the cars in the video I'd buy a McMurtry Spierling to experience much faster acceleration if that's what I craved, then maybe a really nice house with the change left over to relax in to reduce my heart rate 🤣
it just depends who's behind the wheele
I would take the McMurtry Speirling over both these and it cost is much cheaper

The Rimac with 4 motors and 4 wheel torque vectoring, probably accounts for the delta, vs the E85 and pump gas issue, I bet the power to weight ratio is probably closer as raced and if the Jesko was on E85, would probably take the crown

You may be surprised to know this but the Regera went 20 kmph faster at the finish line last year. It's ballsy enough to try these runs. However no one in their right mind would truly want to take their million dollar customer car in the wet and really push to the very limit at Goodwood.

I don't understand why it wasn't running E85, saying it's not available in the UK is a load of rubbish, a quick Google will show hundreds of outlets, besides pretty sure they didn't drive that Jesko to Goodwood so if it came in a lorry then bring some bloody E85 with you - maybe 1600 horses going to rear wheels only with street tyres on a twisty course seemed a bit dangerous... purely speculation on my part 🤔
The jesko ran on ordinary gas and not e85 so it did not have full power…..

Meanwhile, the McMurtry Speirling runs 39.08, 10 seconds faster than the Koenigsegg and the Rimac Nevera.
The Koenigsegg Jesko is absolutely insane, I wasn't expecting that the gap would be this narrow in comparison with a car that has 630hp more. Not to mention but the Koenigsegg had a passenger and wasn't running on E85 Fuel. In my opinion, I think the Jesko would've made it 4 seconds less If it was running on E85. No hate to the Rimac Nevera, truly impressive but I'd still give the win to Koenigsegg.
The jesko is basically as quick as an ev with no flywheel and direct drive. More to come I am sure.

Rimac Nevera curb weight 2300kg (5100 lb). Koenigsegg Jesko curb weight 1420 Kg (3131lb). Here, blind Egg fans and lovers, belive and talk about passenger weight as main problem why Jesko lost. Passenger weight is around, what 90 or 100 Kg more. Sorry boys, but your car 1000kg lighter lost to Nevera. Imagine Nevera with 1000kg less, it would fly around this racetrack.

To think the time wasn’t much of a big difference since jesko only ran on pump gas with 1200hp while rimac have 1900hp, 700hp difference is insane!!! I’d pick a combustion engine car anytime than any ev car P.S not hating on ev cars, they’re impressive but they still don’t have my attention

As much as I love these cars & their unreal speed. How about developing an EV that can last 1000 miles on a single charge? If I could afford the Nevera, I'd definitely take one. But for me now, that unreal speed is useless to me & my everyday life. But an EV that'll get me 1000 miles/1600 kms on a single charge would really be interesting & useful to me. Charge up my ride once a month & not worry about range anxiety.

Incorrect, only the Regera had Rimac batteries, nowdays Koenigsegg makes their own electric "engines"
So you need extra 700bhp on EVs to do better time than petrol cars in circuits/ turns
I think the additional horsepower would bring no benefit on this track as its real wheel driven

It's a trade-off... combustion's excitement and lower finish time vs electric's higher speed win that sucks the life outta the excitement. Maybe they should only race apples against apples and keep them separated so spectators can stay with the type of sport hypercar they like and never shall the two worlds cross?

The top speed about the Jesko in the video may be incorrect, that's the top speed theory for the Absolut... Neither have a certified top speed tested so its irrelevant anyway lol
Still long way up to ID-R...39.9s. Yeah, that's designed for racing, but beat a Formula1 car time.
Koenigsegg jesko used petrol and that`s producing 1280 hp but with e85 it would have had 1600 hp. So i would say that if it used e85 it could have won
