I never played XVI, but I know it's an action game, so I love that they adapted the combat system like that. They did something similar with XV, I think.

And the monster hunter event mechanics being the same as in mhw was a great touch and how they mimicked FF13 in mhw to their best ability was great too!​@@Bardic_Knowledge

@@nathaliea9877 Comparing the two they definitely learned from the XV crossover and made the XVI actions better.

Since you already experience QTA in this event . Yes ff14 have their own QTE on trials combat boss since stormblood.

it's older than stormblood. the oldest i can remember is getting off of Cruise Chaser after he destroys and reforms the arena in a11 (heavensward)

Wonder why Square and Yoshi P didn’t have Ben (Clive VA) come over and voice this event. It’s not that long.
