Interesting it actually borrows the leitmotif of Omega's theme in FF14 (eScape) when it transforms into phase 2.

It uses Order Yet Deciphered from Azys Lla as well. Soken earned his award and further proved it once again with this track.

This fight was amazing honestly, good stuff as usual 🔥

Always impressed by Ongbal's ability to provide an impeccable lore accurate representation of any character. Also, that audio sync at 6:44 🔥

Even while I shouldn't be surprised, it's still always a shock to see just how quickly you master these fights with a photo finish! The Rook's Gambit counters were the ones I was most surprised by with you using them against those point blank laser shots.

Finishing a fight with Zantetsuken is always the correct move, great job Ongbal

You pulled out a stylish cinematic boss fight! You’re awesome, man!

The confidence to just stand there and perfect rooks gambit those almost 1 hit death attacks. Just Wow.

The way u switched to use Bahamut s charging attack only at the last stage, and dodging all that attacks to have the bar filled up almost instantly was godlike!

This fight had my jaw on the floor during the phase transition plus the badass breakcore soundtrack. phenomenal DLC I'm excited for the second one

Wow ! I didn't know you could combo the lightning orb you put on the enemy with Odin's dancing blades. This is mindblowing !

Yeah it builds it faster. I just use the accessory that does the same thing instead and use a different move instead of the lighting. I hate using that move outside of a stagger window

it's the only way to build the combo multiplier since Dancing Steel only counts as a single move while Lighting Rod can multiply with itself

Of course Soken references eScape for this boss music, what a cheeky lad.

what i like the most about this run is that you implement the best boy torgal into your gameplay. you don't see that often in challenge runs

The fact that you have done it at level 80 on the hardest difficulty really shows your skills, amazing video as always!

FF mode isn’t the hardest difficulty, Ultimaniac is.

Man. That double impact accessory is nuts! I’m gonna need to re do my loadout to take advantage of it 😵

I have said this before but I really love that ability with one huge laser beam dividing into numerous little laser rain. It pleases me every time.

The Zantetsuken finish was probably the coolest way I've seen anyone finish a boss, since the vid I saw of KH2: sora v roxas with the finish being just as cool

I went into this fight (ng+) with almost full items and used everything besides the ‘return to life’ item. Crazy fight, the second phase goes on sooo long.

@@YuriJoestar Your final save should place you before the final boss, you can do it from there. A few side quests need to be completed first though, I had to look up which ones

Unexpected dlc for ff16. Best part? Crab. Truly, the final evolution. Your canine archons? Your hecatonchires gods? It pales before space crab. And along comes Ongbal to serve crab cakes.

@@tehCostHD I like how Rook's Gambit pauses and preserves the enemy's animation really well, making the fight seem so chaotic. Like when Omega uses the High Maneuvers and comes crashing down and fills the screen with red, while Clive does all his cool flips in the midst of it all. So badass. Raging Fists feels like it has a greater parry window, which is why I like to use it a lot.

Love it! Have to say, even though I have Odin in my "loadout", I actually really dislike this eikon. Because the way it's just about building to Zantetsuken 5, actually encourages the player not to use the other more "combo heavy" eikons like Shiva, Titan, you name it. The initial 3-4 eikon gameplay is the best IMO, like with Phoenix, Garuda, and Titan. Much less damage but fun to block & counter. The Odin eikon is so powerful that you end up just using that when you get it.

I was gonna be so disappointed if they DIDNT put eScape in there somewhere. Its Yoshida AND Soken doing another Omega fight, they gotta put it in there

I just beat Omega, that fight was insane, I went and got Leviathan so I could hit it at long range (You know this begs the question, if the Fallen created this version of Omega, would that mean Shinryu exists in this world as well considering the original lore for Omega Weapon was a failsafe that was capable of destroying Shinryu should it ever escape from the Void as we have seen happen multiple times in Final Fantasy?)

The Last phase is both a goddanm lightshow, and a horrendous nightmare. You either kill him, or He unmakes the danm dimmension

Im surprised Omega came back after FFXV. Though I'm not well-versed in FF lore so I'm not sure if Omega was a new enemy in FFXV that became a mainstay or if it had existed before

Omega has been around since atleast FF5. Not sure if he showed up even earlier than that, but Omega is definately a recurring boss in the series. He might not show up every game, but like the summons he often comes back.
