I don't think anyone is as motivated as Klay this year. He still had flashes of greatness last season. He simply lacked any kind of consistency. Klay is now far enough out from his injuries that he can truly push himself and sustain it. Not to mention, it's a contract year. His defence won't ever be as good as it was, but 80% of that is still great defence.

Lacob will keep looking after Klay and Loon to keep the family together, although I suspect they'll both willingly take discounts to stay even longer in the Bay. Klay got a max extension AFTER blowing his ACL and missed 2 full years so will hopefully repay the faith on a similar deal to Dray, while Loon is just so damn humble and steady he'll wants to stay in a winning system that values his skillset, plus it's not like $8M per year is chump change. No, no, no, no, no. GSW will not trade away their core. And dammit, that includes Loon. That guy isn't just a rebounding machine. He's an elite screener, a very good passer, he's not easy for opposing bigs to push around, he avoids fouling, he avoids turnovers, he makes the right plays, he brings zero drama, and he is utterly dependable. Loon is as solid a professional as you could want. And he's on a team-friendly contract. Guys like that do not grow on trees. Value him! Klay is a pro, too. He knows what he has to do to get the round thing to go through the other round thing. He has the purest shooting motion we've ever seen. His legs will be stronger as his injury recedes into memory. Those 4 rings were not a fluke. With CP3 running the second unit, with Wiggins hopefully getting back into his groove, with Moody and Kuminga stepping up in their third season, with an always-hungry Draymond and the incomparable Steph Curry, the only thing I worry about are injuries. Absent those, this team will fear no other. Bring it!

The man tore his ACL then tore his Achilles. For him to come back on the court at an NBA level, even though not at an elite level. That in itself is a huge feat. I tore my ACL 2 years ago at 32, now 34. I play amateur football/soccer in Malaysia. I can’t play football the way I used to. I used to play on the wings and relied on my speed to beat defenders, but now I have to play in the middle and at a slower pace. And I’m quite small, 172cm 67kg at September 2021 before tearing my right knee ACL. I lost so much speed, if I try my best to sprint like hell, I just can’t get that first step acceleration. To me, hats off to Klay. But behind the scenes Klay surely knows, he’s no longer the same player. He can’t play elite defence, can’t get that quick first step to set a shot. Even I felt depressed that I can’t help my team.

Not every team was capable of wearing them down but yeah if you had good defense you can make them work hard for their points and physically wear them down. You have to understand that I was rooting for them so when I say this its only out of observation. Now they are older with perhaps not as much physicality they once had. At the end of the season when the pressure is on its my belief they can be beat.

Really need to start looking at Kerr as part of the problem after the FIBA Fiasco.

@@willjohnwick6911 I said he can. And he should. To make the team better. If Wiggins became the star he's proven he can be the warriors would dominate. This is all. Will he? Doubt it. He doesn't have that fire like Butler. Even less fire than Tatum if that's even possible

I don't think the market for Dray or Klay is that great but, if you package it right, the Warriors might be able to still land a star for Chris Paul. With all the rumblings in Milwaukee, packaging the expiring contract of CP3 with some young talent, like Kuminga and Moody, along with some draft picks might be able to net them a Freak. Okay, maybe that's just crazy talk. But it might be able to land them big time role players like Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday for a last ditch "win-now" push for Golden State while providing the Bucks with a fiscally responsible way of rebuilding and retooling around Giannis without sacrificing the present.

I know this is wrong but if i was the coach Chris Paul 1 Steph Curry 2 Klay Thompson 3 Draymond or Kuminga at 4 and sign a Center above 6'10 because Kevon Looney just aint gonna cut it on defense.

Hoopreport's misses prediction: 1) Wiseman is not bust 2) Wiseman will not get traded 3) Polle will stay 4) Dray and Polle's beef is not big deal 5) Warrior win 2023

Nope. They will keep these 3 (SC30, KT11, SC30). KD35 and CP3 is just a piece but not the core.

Klay should have work on his fadeaway or turn around jumper years ago... the only thing holding him back is a signature move . Klay doesnt have a lot of arsenal on his game, very predictable thats why in the playoffs he struggles when defense already knows his game...

In my opinion Klay Should just work on his dribbles, handles and Layups His three game is already as good as it will ever be He just should get HIS playmaker better and he'll be doing miracles

JP was the main reason Warriors won the last ring. Without him and now Chris Paul who is injury half the year. How? Klay body gave up a few years ago, I don’t understand why he hasn’t transition to off the bench a Ray Allen type of shooter

That'd be something, isn't it? Steph, klay and dray winning 2 or 3 more rings and retire as a warrior. The trio would be legendary.
