It doesn't hold the weight of a more heavy emotional weight of many of the other cool lines. Because it's delivered by a light guy and not a cold guy like Aokiji. I'll see myself out.

Yeah but that gets debunked pretty easily because Oda said that the reason Zoro became a bounty hunter was because he got lost so he probably had it before though the curse may have boosted his bad sense of direction

With how much detail Oda packs into his story, it's only understandable that you can't remember every last thing. :)

I've watched a fair number of One Piece reactions; like you, a lot of them aren't initially worried about an Admiral coming to fight our protagonists. Then Kizaru shows up. And much like when Mihawk 'fought' Zoro, we and the Straw Hats are reminded that as powerful as the crew is, at this point and time, they are still nowhere near the top of the mountain.

Sentoumaru and Luffy shares the same voice actor, just like Kureha is the same VA as Goku and Gohan. Kizaru aside from he's made of light, he's also lightspeed.

In terms of personality. All the Warlords are based off the seven deadly sins. If this is the case then Kuma is obviously Wrath. Which got me thinking. King Bradley/Wrath the Furious from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood also had doppelgangers in the form candidates to become the Homunculus Wrath, or as Goldtooth put it "The Leftovers".

When has it been said that the Warlords represent deadly sins, and how does that account for the constantly shifting roster? I guess Hancock for lust is obvious, but wouldn’t Doflamingo be Wrath...if anybody? And what sin could Jinbei possibly represent? Or Mihawk? Crocodile? Kuma? Moria? I feel like Pride and Greed just sort of universally apply for most of them. I don’t think this is a very solid parallel other than that there are 7 of them

Warlords Per Marineford (Spoilers): * Boa Hancock - Lust - For obvious reasons. * Crocodile (Now Blackbeard) - Greed - Both are ambitious and like to constantly take things while not giving anything in return. * Hawkeye Mihawk - Sloth - He doesn't interact much with others and puts very little effort into his swordsmanship. * Doflamingo - Gluttony - He takes pleasure in controlling others and has an endless amount resources. * Geko Moria - Envy - He lacks the basic ambition that most pirates have and he belittles others at any opportunity. * Kuma - Wrath - He is direct, imposing, observant, and realise more on his actions. Also the fact that he has no emotion in his face means that specifically emotional on a certain topic. * Jinbie - Pride - He is an honourable person and is above owing people favours when he has no regard for them. And as a fish man he's also quite proud of his people as well.

@@tommcburney301 I feel like you could frame almost all of them in this way to have many of these sins. I don’t disagree with the Mihawk or Moria ones, but couldn’t Crocodile be Gluttony just as much as Doflamingo? He sucked up an entire country’s water while running an extravagant casino. And Crocodile is very proud, he thinks incredibly highly of himself and his own intellect, as most of the warlords do. None of what you said for Kuma entails wrath at all. Wrath is lashing out with violence and anger out of rage or retribution. Kuma is perfectly calm and collected and has willingly given up his own free will, acting as an obedient and subservient slave who literally cannot fight back against the people who would cause a wrathful person to lash out most, and even then most of his defining character moments so far entail him acting as a merciful protectorate (saving Straw Hats at Sabaody, protecting the Sunny, etc). Individuals like Kidd could certainly be described as wrathful, but hardly Kuma. Maybe Kuma’s somewhat vague (and likely false) reputation as a former tyrant could be used to justify it, but again Doflamingo is far more befitting of wrath even in that respect. He murdered his father and brother in cold blood, and happily reveled in watching an entire nation plummet into suffering and despair. And he’s also very proud of himself and perceives himself as being above all other humans like any other Celestial does. I suppose saying Jinbei fits “pride” does LITERALLY make sense, but this is very different from the sense that word is used in for the deadly sin. There’s your Stereotypical Bushido/Samurai kind of “honor” based pride (that Jinbei absolutely ascribes to) which entails all the stuff like not fighting your opponent underhandedly. But that’s not what the deadly sin of pride is referring to. That sinful kind of pride used to more specifically be known as “vainglory” and has far more to do with putting yourself on a pedestal over other people as though your life holds more value, which if we’re being honest, is just a trait that most One Piece villains share in general
