Its both amazing and freaking hilarious that Luffy's idea of what the Pirate King is can also be summed up as: DO WHAT YOU WANT 'CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE, YOU ARE A PIRATE!! lol

Maybe it is because I barely got any sleep last night or maybe it's because I'm feeling a bit emotional anyway atm, but I had to hold back tears several times during the Strawhats conversation with Rayleigh. It is just such outstanding storytelling and worldbuilding. Oda really is something else. Scenes like these are the reason One Piece is my favorite Shonen Manga/Anime period. And *damn* Oda understands people and emotions. Without ever having met him you can just tell that he is a very empathic and smart person, just because of the multi-layered and believable characters he creates. "I never laughed as much as I did that day. I never cried as much as I did that day." Those lines alone carry so much weight and tell you so much about Roger and Rayleigh and the way they think and act. Then there is the way Luffy and Robin react to the possibilty of Rayleigh telling them everything he knows about One Piece and the world. I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point. 😁

Funny thing: I have always thought Admiral Kizaru bore a strong resemblance to my Uncle Darrell. Even though my uncle was in no way Japanese or anything but your typical, American Midwestern white guy... but there's a strong resemblance in just about everything else *plus* in their fashion sense and how they talk (well, based on the VA and subs). Oh, and my uncle did serve for a time in the Navy.

If Kizaru's voice seems familiar, it's because he's voiced by the same person Old Man Joseph from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is - the dearly departed Unsho Ishizuka (reminder that Aokiji is voiced by the voice actor for DIO). His other roles included Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop, Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball and Professor "Is Your Mom Still Single? Go Catch Every Pokemon" Oak.

remember that luffy and the ‘supernovas’ are just ROOKIES .. this isn’t anything like their used to. It’s like we see luffy and the others gradually battling stronger and stronger opponents

Episode 400... going back always puts tears in my eyes and a smile on my face.

400 is the episode that just makes you fall in love with the show again and binds you even more to it Goosebumps all the way when Rayleigh talks and even more goosebumps when Luffy tells Usopp to shut up Loved your reaction to those scenes!

You're not wrong about these episodes flying by. You finished the set, and I'm like, "What? Is he only doing two episodes? Wait, that was all three? Crap." These are just so good. The lore drop, the reveals, the new characters and their powers, the absolute bonkers fights... My god. And you could tell you were loving it by all the memeable faces you were making. Boom IS surprised Pikachu. XD

I saw all these moments 2 years ago, all the foreshadowing, the Rayliegh's smiles when he sees Roger proyected as Luffy, I remember it like it was yesterday bro, the goosebumps I get everytime I see these moments, man One Piece will really go into history as one of the masterpieces of the 21st century Hope you enjoy as much as you can this rollercoaster that One Piece is, the pre TS series is amazingly good and enjoyable, but man post TS One Piece is really when things get HEATED and you see some of the most intense history writting in anime/manga history

I love that moment when we see what is really important to them. They have an opportunity to get the answers they're looking for, but they realize that's not what they want. Well not quite, Luffy already knew what he wanted. Robin is the one who just realized. If she's gotten the answer from Rayleigh, there was no point going on with the Straw Hats. She'd rather never know if it meant she could keep traveling with her friends. She found what she was really looking for, and she's not about to lose it. The show doesn't start to get good at episode 400; it reminds you *_why_* you've been watching it for 400 episodes.

Here's a fun fact about Trafalgar Law, the funimation dub voice actor for Law is the same as Leon S Kennedy from Resident Evil 6/Resident Evil Damnation/Resident Evil Vandetta (Mathew Mercer)

Quick boom: Zoan fruits- fruit’s that transform you into another specie (not animal just tryna nail in your brain). Drakes is a good example as he turned into a dinosaur same with chopper as he ate the human human fruit. Logia- Well obviously logia fruit users we’ve seen so far are smoker, crocodile, ace, enel, aokiji, Blackbeard (he said his fruit is logia in the fight against ace) and kizaru. So far that’s all the people you know that use this type of fruit and you could think of a logia elementary fruit that gives them the fruits abilities like sand. As you’ve seen physical attacks can’t hit a person using this fruit just like with kizaru and ace There’s one more type of devil fruit call paramecia and that’s basically like Lucy us, kids, brooks and laws fruit. Just think of these fruits powers whatever Oda wants these powers to be lol. There are three types of zoan fruit I know it’s hard to say cuz of my bad English but the series will explain one of them later. So far x drake has a ancient zoan type so species from the ancient time (dinosaurs) and choppers is just a normal zoan type. As for the last one it will be explained later cuz if I said now it will be spoiler I hoped I helped refresh your brain with understanding these fruits but I’m just bad at explaining so if anyone else wanna help me out with explaining then do so plz

I'm probably in the minority here, but Kizaru is my favorite marine lol. He gives me Saitama vibes (One Punch Man fans know what I mean) he seems so chill yet ridiculously overpowered in his world. I think he's fun. Terrifying, but fun.

I think reading the manga from the start after catching up with the anime would make for an interesting experience. You'll catch a lot of the foreshadowing and you'll be reading at your own pace rather than adhering to a schedule. People generally prefer the manga once they start it.

You probably know this, but just a reminder, since its been a pretty long time, but im pretty sure back at the island where they first introduced smoker, and luffy was nearly executed, when luffy went to a restaurant that gol d. happened to go, luffy actually said something very similar to what he said to Rayleigh
