Megan - I appreciate when you talk about how thankful you are at the sight of your full fridge. I have experienced times when I wasn’t sure where my next meal was coming from. Many of us don’t realize this isn’t just a third world problem…it’s right here. Your honesty is mainly the reason I started following you. Something you said in an older video about how you don’t take your blessings for granted. Many you tubers are always showing clothes hauls, makeup hauls, and home decor and furniture hauls. I get a little annoyed, even though I know most of this is sponsored, it just feels like it’s too much, and wasteful. Sorry, I’m rambling too much. Just keep doing what you do.👍

My lifestyle has definitely changed since I started my channel. I feel like that’s inevitable as finances become more secure. But that doesn’t mean that I have forgotten where I once was…or where I could be again. I always try to keep that gratitude at the forefront.

💛 I’ve gotta share so that others know they are NEVER alone! When you’re in the thick of it, those struggles can leave you feeling isolated and ostracized, but in reality there are many people from all walks of life facing the same battle. 💛

I feel the same way about being able to provide food for my family. When my son was younger I was a single mom and we lived in a one bedroom apt together. I had to rely on some government assistance even with my bachelors degree. I am so grateful and humble that I went through difficult times to appreciate the career I have now, our much larger home in a wonderful and safe neighborhood, and the food that I can provide for my family. ❤️

Cucumber salad is one of my favorite dishes for summertime! So yummy & refreshing 🤗

Great video! Love all your healthy food choices! I also love cucumber salad. One of my favorites uses plain greek yogurt. Tip for you - I use a potato peeler to cut my cucumber and onion. It's so fast and easy and makes perfect thin slices!

I grew up eating this salad. My mom used red onion & always added just the tiniest bit of mayo to make it slightyly creamy. So good! When we struggled to have regular food, I used to make chicken broth, noodle & frozen veggie soup. My daughter never knew we struggled so to get that is a comforting meal.

Red onion is good too! Derek doesn’t prefer red onion though, so I’ve been using sweet onions.

Hello.Hello there.Since you mentioned,and made cucamber salad,try this version of cucamber salat.It fits perfect in those really hot days. It chills instantly. Cucambers,garlic cloves,salt,papper and sour creme. Dice cucamber and garlic cloves,ad sour creme,ad salt&papper.Mix well and put into the fridge to cool,at least 1-2h and enjoy in cold salat.I even eat only this salat with bread,when its hot outside.Enjoy and would like to here impressions. I’m loving how organized everything is… I’m a stay at home momma of two girls pregnant with our third now and I need to declutter and organize for sure!! Hi Megan…what a great feeling to be restocked! When I was little my dad use to do the same with the cucumber and onion…no sugar, just red wine vinegar. Yes, have issues with stock of certain items and it does seem random. I was at the grocery store today and wanted the white cheddar rice cakes (I put pb on them) and they were all out. I hope it gets better soon along with the high prices😳

Make your own pancake mix it's not hard and it's actually healthy for you and if you do the dry ingredients in your jars in your pantry then all you got to do is measure out your wet ingredients that morning and I'll be ready once you do it a few times you will find out how easy it really is I know you do have more kids than I did but they can even help do it and give you something to do together at least during the summer.

I make the cucumber salad all the time. I use rice wine vinegar. I’ve never used onion but I will next time. I also use my mandolin to cut up the cucumber.

I’m an unsweetened tea drinker too. Which evidently is a sin in the south 😂😂 I have tried the cornbread swirls. My husband lives them!

We definitely have shortages here in Florida knock on wood I've been able to get both pretty regular at Aldi's oh and I love the RX bars I can't tell you a great flavor cuz I only got to try a couple but the ones I tried I loved

i know this is a bit late but when you said the shortage i was like yes it's still happening with random stuff or more well popular item for us it's coffee we get a big thing of coffee so we won't have to worry about getting some for months to almost a year and past week we haven't seen any at the store and yesterday i heard someone else talking about the shortage too while i was at the store

Great video when due decorate for fall 🍂🍁🌾🍂 the only shortage we had was cream cheese 🥯 for some reason but now they have it at one point I went to Trader Joe’s and they had it buy the way I have seen pancake 🥞 mix at dollar tree so you might want to try there 😊
