Kitchen cabinet pull out trays and blind corner build

In this video I show building and installing kitchen cabinet trays that are mounted to the existing shelf to make easier to get to pots and pans. I used a raised blind corner tray to pull behind other trays to make it easier to access the blind corner.
Build:
There are 3 Trays each 3" high and 22 1/2 inch deep widths vary. I used 2x2 poplar blocks recessed a hole and started a construction screws and then squared the block and screwed in. A 24" side mount heavy duty full extension drawer slide was used (use largest your cabinet will fit even if your drawer is a bit smaller) let it touch on the bottom and lined up with the front of the cabinet and screwed it in. The hidden side was raised to go over the other drawer slide and block. On the drawer I mounted the slide to the front edge and used a cut rabbit piece to make a jig to align the height.
Poplar wood was used for the front and sides of the drawer tray its best to get a large width and resaw to save money. The large approximately 3/4 inch Rabbits on the front and back inset the sides of the tray. Also a smaller 1/2 rabbit on all 4 sides for the entire bottom was made for the 1/2 inch Baltic birch plywood to recess in installed shiny side up.
Assembly was with the Titebond original glue and 1 1/4 brads in a pneumatic brad mailer. The sides were nailed on and then the bottom all before any glue dried so make sure it all fits, and then cleaned before it dried. Edges were rounded with a sander with 100 and then 150 sandpaper and then finished with Natural Danish Watco oil.

Perfect. I've watched several others who used the same slides as you but bottom mounted them. I was wondering about how that would hold up. I like your mount better

Thanks most slides only have a intended mount direction so don't put a weight ratting when mounted in a non approved way. I did find one that had a weight of 25% when mounted flat so I would assume a 100 lb rating decreases to 25 when mounted flat. since you should not max out weight as placing heavy things bounces I would try to keep it at 75% of slide so a 100 lb weight on its side would be 18 lb or about the weight of the drawer and about 5 lb of load. Not a very good idea for a drawer for pans perhaps a spice rack I hope thats all they were using it for..
