Droid looks like something a former Imperial starfighter technician would build as a sentry droid to protect a hideout after deserting the Empire. Something Mando might come across in Season 3 while trying to find this important former technician for some reason.

That cape is so jaunty! I love the idea of him picking it off of a scrap pile and thinking "yeah, this is class". Also I'm surprised that the design language of the Zaku kit meshes so well with the Star Wars parts!! It's funny, I've built a bunch of Bandai's Gundam models but none of the Star Wars ones. I'll have to remedy that soon!

This is a true work of art, design and creativity. Thanks for sharing your love for this line of art. The character makes me feel like he is a humble tempol protector of families that live far away in the woods , the jungle. The people escape from the empire and are kind of one with the land. The kids love him because he brings food and make toys for them.

Various junk from astromech droids combined to form a vessel for a poor junker/scavenger dying of a lesser known disease, the scavenger managed to copy his personality into his creation, but after his creator died he left and started to form a personality of his own. What he is looking for is not very well known, but I can tell you that part of the junk he is built out of is an old lightsaber containing a kyber-crystal. Very cool droid, never expected the end result to have so much personality, yet look so much like a real Star Wars creation straight out of the movies.

This Droid looks like it's been walking for a long time so I'd say that perhaps something happened to those who created it (perhaps bandits or the like) and they stole the droid's controller unknowingly (thinking it valuable) so rather than hunting them down to seek vengence for it's fallen creators- It's forced to track the bandits completely undetected by them in order to take it back. I figure instead of being motivated by emotion, this droid really just wants the freedom to get offworld and function peacefully. Whether or not you like that idea: there's plenty of room to build off of it or change it around. None the less it's an awesome build, you never miss.

Nice! Bouncing off your idea, maybe the droid's goal is simply to find their creator, and the faraway signal device thing that would help it find them was hijacked/looted by said bandits?

Since you said renfaire, I thought of a backstory for the *Squire droid;* _Once upon a time. There was a Mighty Warrior and their Droid. The Droid admired their Master so much, they wanted to be just like them. Many years ago, the Master disappeared one day, having left and never returning. Since then, the Droid has taken it upon themselves to improve their skills and abilities on their own._ *_The Droid wanders that land as a sort of junior rōnin or knight; helping small villages, saving fair maidens, defeating monsters, and gaining strength, One day hoping to find their old master and show them what they've achieved._*

That's a rusty beauty! To me, it looks like this droid was supposed to be a companion or patrol bot, helping others pathfinder or defend against smaller life-forms. It's tall because tall droids are intimidating to most sentients, and the staff would provide rudimentary combat capabilities. It's definitely been damaged, or had parts wear out, and someone added bits to it to try and compensate. Perhaps it still serves It's purpose, or it could be just another forsaken droid, wandering aimlessly through the jungle.

But as years went on the rest of the S1 droids we’re schrapt for better ones. This. One tho was able to stay under radar but it continued to breakdown over time. It Being sentient it was still able to survive. It even collecting the cape of a deceased great bounty hunter fobo bet. It still lives to this day picking up trash.

That turned out really good looking. As you were working, I had a story come to mind... hope you don't mind my sharing at this late date. I think this droid "woke up" next to a scrap pile with a sudden beep and quiet whirr. He was small, had wheels and only one "arm" with a grabber at the end. He couldn't remember who or what he was, what had happened, where he was from... or where he was. He did know he didn't feel well. So he began to rummage through the things that were next to him, trying to find something that would make him feel better. A small amount of fluid helped, but there was still something not quite right. He found a metal book that had plans in it for various droid types and he finally figured out that he needed to change a particular part. It had something to do with power. His was cracked and leaking. He found one that was similar on a lump of... something... and was able to replace the one attached to his top. After he'd finished, he got to thinking and came up with the idea that he could change himself to be like one of those other droids in his book. And so, his journey began. As he traversed the land, he saw that only devastation remained, but had no idea why or whether this was normal for where he was. He seemed to be all alone. As he wandered, he stopped at places, found bits of this and that, compared them to the pictures and drawings in his book, and added what he felt he wanted to keep. Over his travels, he replaced his wheels, which were hard to get around on in this dry climate, with legs and feet. His single appendage became arms and hands with fingers. He changed his head and body as well... and kept changing his parts until one day there was nothing of the old him left. Finally he felt he might be perfect... and he stopped changing.

That’s R4-5T “Arfur.” He was a simple maintenance droid on a Trandoshan slaver ship 85 years BBY. His programming was to maintain and repair the ship. The ship landed on Felucia but all crew were killed by the local wildlife, and the ship mostly destroyed. Arfur was left alone in the camp site, and with nothing else to do he began to repair the ship as he was programmed to do. He has made self-repairs and upgrades along the way. Now he endlessly wanders the jungles of Felucia collecting all the metal parts he can find in a futile attempt to rebuild/repair the ship he arrived on.

The music you played at the end when displaying the droid was simply outstanding. It somehow perfectly fitted the vibe of the droid, and I loved the atmosphere it created. I'm really impressed!

This could be a great start for a starwars universe similar to your futuristic wild west one!

Very cool droid, love all the details and the cape is a nice touch. Everyone in the collab did a great job, I think Docs is my favourite but they're all fantastic builds. Looking forward to seeing more of Jude's work, great work on the pit droid.

This was probably one of my favorite Star Wars-esque builds, and the podracer video. I just like the kit-bashing videos. Keep it up! :)

He was an abandoned R4 unit on Bracca that gained a sentience and built himself a body to traverse the planet easier.

I'm a huge SW fan and this is just amazing. It absolutely matches the aesthetics of the saga and the philosophy behind them.

No Gundam is safe on Boylei's Worlds. "I used to be a Gungam, until I took a Boylei to the knee." Adding a little Wild West mini to the base of this diorama could add another great piece to your western setting; a gigantic rust-bot.
