I just want to say that I met this man in person twice in one weekend by total coincidence. We took the same plan to the same city, and he sat right next to me on the plane (coach). We was so down the earth and we talked and he was just such an AWESOME spirit. The second time I was on my way back home and we were catching the same flight back to Arkansas. He gave me and my friend a hug and talked to us like we were family. It was awesome meeting him and seeing that he is really humble and down to earth in person. Much Love to Kirk Franklin & The Family

beghz z He give thousands hugs to every body on the earth, showing love to people but if he doesn’t have the truth of the gospel him, all that doesn’t mean anything to God. PERIOD. God respect and honor his word; If Franklin doesn’t know how to defend what the Bible says about homosexuality, he is the devil among church members.

This love you are speaking of from Kirk is Nothing like the Love of Jesus Christ. We are to sacrifice ourselves to God. If Kirk is representing the Truth of God then Kirk has to represent the Truth of God....NOT straddle the fence. Kirk has to be Holy for God is Holy or worship the World..there are no in between. I pray that your eyes are open to the deceitfulnes. Be blessed.

For all the "disappointed" Christians commenting, understand the platform being used. He is speaking to large non-Christian, non-religious audience. A lot of ppl who listen to this particular show don't know God let alone Christ. It seems that Bro. Kirk strategically answered questions in a way where ppl who are living in sin are receptive to his message. This interview was no for you. It was for who needed to hear it. That aside, excellent interview! He is such an anointed man living out the purpose God gave him and has encouraged others, for decades, to do the same.

Jesus was a rebel in his day. A personal relationship with Jesus is beyond religion. Lest we remember : When Jesus was ressurected, the religion of 'Christianity' did not formally exist; the Bible was written afterwards. Living our lives as he does holds a freedom, far and beyond any words. Happy Easter to you All ~ If you're reading this during another time, I pray, May God Bless You .

@@ministerroderickhobes3895 I stand on the fact that there is an all knowing powerful force that transcends ALL religions and faiths. I once subscribed to all of that Christianity/white jesus stuff, but I woke up. Hopefully one day you realize that Christianity's origins are rooted in African spirituality. From your avatar you appear to be a black man, and its really sad how they got us psychologically. I'm sure you mean well, but Christianity isn't for us. Especially as people of color. If you're a minister as the title of your name says have you looked into all aspects of your faith? The origins of your faith? The parallels of your faith with ancient African systems that PRE DATE your religion? Or do you ignore it like I once did afraid that if you researched it your world would come crumbling down. I often wonder if people like Kirk, and yourself know what I'm talking about but refuse to look into because of what it would mean for your world view etc. Anyway some youtube comments isn't going to convince you of anything be blessed.

Kirk doesn't have a new face y'all. He has a beard, a hairline, and he gained weight. If y'all say he looks and sounds different you obviously haven't been following his career. Great interview! Love that he took the time to ask if what he was saying was relatable and made sense. Artists come up here and forget what they came for-- he reverted back to his album after every topic & made sure to relate the answer to his album. You have to take control of the interview w/ a show like this. Dude is real... when he was talking about his mom wow. He tells a lot of stories about him growing up, but I've never heard that one. Go watch his Being episode on Centric. All gems. Huge fan of his; made me fall in love with music as a kid. I also see a lot of buzz about his apology to gay people. He was basically just saying that churches keep shoving gay people out, and if they really truly want them to know Jesus they need to be more welcoming and loving. Churches want everybody saved, but some of them throw people out over the smallest sins, when church is about coming to Jesus and fellowshipping and deliverance and understanding. Jesus is about love. He's apologizing for condemning which is not the church's or anyone else's place. That was all he was saying. & he was probably "skating around it" as y'all say because he was trying to give a careful answer-- it's so easy to twist people's words. Y'all always want everybody to turn out phony. This dude is real and has been real in the game for over 20 years.

He's always been real. I'm from the city he's from and he came up around my mother's family. They would always tell me he was humble when I was young. As I got older I noticed when he'd run into my mom and family in public he'd make it a note to step to the side to speak. He came to some of the funerals (in their small family church) of those that helped him get to where he is. And I've seen him do it with common people I don't know as well. So I can't say he does it "for an image" cause hell one time he ran into my mom at a grocery store (in every day clothes) and stopped her to talk. And this was after the height of his career around the Rebirth of Kirk Franklin era.

This interview was so dope and uplifting. Yet, in the comment section all I see are a bunch of fake, trying to appear "holy," ain't changed nobody's life, think they're so perfect, judgemental, pretending to be "concerned" but just want to put someone down, critical mess of self proclaimed "Christians" and EVERY dang one is BLACK. I bet y'all would be the first ppl angry if a non-person of color did the same thing. So much division. smdh. I'm so grateful for Kirk Franklin and his ministry. How many of you have stood up for your Christ and your God on a national platform, hell, or even at your job/school without wavering or truly convinced a person who's ill, broken, or suicidal to keep going? Like, c'mon??! That's why the world likes Jesus but hates the "church." It's the people like the ones in the comment sections that want to pick apart every little sentence to see if they can find some hidden sin that may or may not even exist. If you don't like what someone has to say then go and listen to someone who will be your personal puppet and speak the words you want them to. Geez.

Do know what "holy" means? It means we are look at the laws in the Bible and realize in ourselves, we can't stand up to it. So we need Christ. You are JUDGING- yes judging wrong. "I bet y'all would be the first ppl angry if a non-person of color did the same thing. So much division. smd" Again, more JUDGING. We in the body place the faith above culture. "How many of you have stood up for your Christ and your God on a national platform, hell, or even at your job/school without wavering or truly convinced a person who's ill, broken, or suicidal to keep going?" Most of us do this everyday, as believers this is our life. How often do you do it? "That's why the world likes Jesus but hates the "church." WRONG. Christ said to us, the church: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.…" "That's why the world likes Jesus but hates the "church."" WRONG - Christ said to us, the church: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. The bible tell us to judge with righteous judgement those who are in ministry and ministering wrong as Kirk is doing. Kirk is wrong, his theology is way off. we are mandated, but the Bible to denounce his heresy. His interview to you was "so dope and uplifting" to you because he came down to your level, which is not with the faith is supposed to do. It is to lift you up to it's level. The Gospel, as Christ did is offensive and it's suppose to be offense to our fleshly and sinful nature, but like alcohol on a wound. It heals.

purexample "Listening to Mr. Franklin actually made me pause and rethink my VERY atheistic and agnostic views" however, you can be an atheist without ton more faith than Christian has. In fact, atheism is way more "religious" than religion. If you are an atheist, why does it matter what any of us think, because there is nowhere to ground the morality you support? Where do you ground your morality? In evolution? Also, as an atheist you meet with the burden of reconciling hard science like math and physics with a theory. Steven Hawkins said the evolution is a continuation from the Big Bang, yet physics and the laws of thermo dynamics says order doesn't come from the chaos of an explosion. And this order is maintained. Also the math conflict, you believe Nothing made everything. I believer Something Made Everything, You will also have to explain how conscious comes from organic tissue-the brain. Good luck with atheism bro, in fact, you are better to say you are an agnostic, because the bible is consistent with observable science. In case you're wondering, I was "very" atheistic myself and debated believers in college for sport, until my doubt lead to me to real investigated and discovered this stuff is real.

My sister, Jesus doesn't need to headline christmas or easter. They are NOT HIS holidays. If you research it, those so called holidays have absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus. Those days are about Idol worship and fertility, NOT about Jesus. Google it. It used to be against the law to even celebrate christmas in this country at one point because they are BOTH PAGAN worship days. The brother just doesn't know this. But, don't take my word for it. Look it up. Google it. Santa clause is a demon. His helpers are not elves, they are other demons called Krampus. Look it up. Easter is named after the goddess Ishtar. It's about her having a baby by her dead husband Horus. Fertility. That's why it's about rabbits and eggs. Rabbits are the most fertile animals cause they can have 20+babies at a time. Women carry eggs within them. That's what easter is all about. Look it up. Jesus would have nothing to do with either of them. That's why he gave us Holy Days to celebrate but the white man told us that when Jesus came that was over with. It's ALL LIES, SMOKE AND MIRRORS.

Why are we so fixated on how a woman dresses, in some cultures clothes are almost non existent, this should tell us that it's the conditioning of people's minds that results in them acting a certain way when they see a woman who may be wearing a short skirt or tight clothes, for example, because the men in those cultures are able to function without constantly being distracted by the sight of nudity.

I totally agree! He compared a woman's body to plates. I think that people are conditioned to believe that our bodies belong men and their perception should color how we see ourselves. which is unfortunate, the only reason why a man respects a woman is if he imagines that another man, her father, or husband is in the room. That is a problem not an honor.

This is my second time watching this interview, and I love it! Kirk has a way of speaking to the people without being ashamed of his relationship with Jesus. If we focus on Him, then the control of religion has no place in our lives. Just like Kirk said, the Bible is not a mandate to point fingers. The Word is simply God’s gift, showing us that there’s a greater grace for every sin we struggle with. None of us are deserving of it, but God overwhelmingly loves us enough to extend it.

Political correct answers.....side stepped the gay questions by bringing up ALL sins and not answering.....he knows the word but still twists it to not offend gay people......its wrong period ....Charlemagne even said it, abomination.........na cool on Kurt...real followers of Jesus stand up for what's right, not for what the world says is alright..... This is a dangerous man y'all, be careful with his works

Kirk Franklin has my respect 100%.... He humanely, honestly lets not forget lovely explains how any other Christian especially Pastors should speak regarding homosexuality and any other sin. NO SIN IS GREATER than the other and that alone has been lost. Everyone has their own battles to fight but the main thing is becoming a better being and to represent Christ or at least try to!!! People are always one sided on certain sins but not all. Powerful Message!!!

I loved this interview! This really resonated with me because when Charlemagne said his mom leaving in the first place was a "blessing in disguise" it's so true because sometimes you have to take the good from a bad situation by turning it into something positive, because if she never abandoned him, would he where he is today influencing so many people?

All I know is if we are a true christian man or woman, then we should believe what God word has to say about sin, homosexuality, lust and agree with God. Do not make excuse to please the world when God said it SIN; We will agree with God or disagree with God.

He said it's in the Bible and he did not write the Bible so you can't get mad at him. He is simply trying to diffuse the hatred the church has created toward homosexuals and show that all sins are bad, whether it be homosexuality, fornication, lust, lying, etc. But of course, the church hears and picks and chooses what they want to hear!
