His music really got me through some tough times and I appreciate his ministry and ability to touch the hearts of people. I know he will probably never read this comment but I had a chance to meet him years ago when he visited my church in Nashville, TN. Kirk can PREACHHHH!!!!! I so agree with what he said about how as christians, it's our job to let others know that God has them and loves them. It truly isn't our job to "police" anyone's process. I am grateful for Kirk's honesty and transparency to let the world know that we all struggle with things. Thank you, Shannon, for allowing people to open up and share their truth on your platform. God bless.

When he said he’d be a 4th grade teacher because he loves kids and pouring into them…that made absolute sense to me merely based on the time my 7 year old met Kirk at church. Man did yall feel that? The shift when they started speaking about Kirk’s biological family. I think they might of even forgot they were being recorded. This was beautiful! When men drop and check their egos and allow vulnerability to permeate. Bet they become Life long friends. Kirk spoke freely and honestly about his pain. Which allowed Unc to not chastise or provoke, but lovingly and empathetically encourage. To make a sacred space where he still called him up higher but held space for his pain. I could go on all day about what those kind of convos do not only in us, but to those around us. Thank you for your humanity kings! Thank you for your vulnerable masculinity. I’m better for having witnessed it.

Shannon's heart about Kirk speaking with his mother is genuine but being in a similar situation as Kirk, sometimes you just have to let relationships go with parents who can't meet you halfway. It hurts but you also have to protect your emotions and not continue to put yourself in that position with that parent to be hurt. Sometimes love from a distance is best until that person can really see the issue. Kirk has a lot of grace for his mother, but he still has to protect his sanity and heart ❤
