I think all-time you could only say Saban is better. I think Kirby will get better at recruiting. It seemed like the guys that were elite recruiters in the 80's and 90's did it in some shady ways but Kirby and Saban seem really clean. Now they have NIL that allows guys to get paid and the lax transfer portal. Kirby does it by selling the experience.

I've soured on ESPN in recent years but guys like Rece Davis and Chris Fowler are still really good at what they do and I love watching and listening to them not just commentate games and do analysis, but do interviews like this. They put you at ease, ask a question, then just sit back and let the interviewee talk. No agenda, no spin, just pure reality. By the way, I think Kirk Herbstreit is pretty good as well. Unlike some guys in their business, neither Kirk or Rece seem to show favorites when they do games. Rece is an Alabama alum and Kirk played QB at Ohio State but you wouldn't know it just by listening to them do their job.

As a lifelong Bama fan I have the utmost respect for UGA football. Nick was very grateful after the game. Kirby knew that Nick validated him by letting him know he earned it. No excuses. UGA is the program that is a twin to Alabama. I wouldn't say Alabama East. It's Georgia. Georgia is the ONE program that can play Alabama every year for the title. Last night Greatness played Greatness. I have never seen a College Game with that much Intensity. I hate when ignorant people say anything about UGA. They are the ONLY OTHER SEC POWER during the Saban Dynasty at Bama. UGA would have a minimum of 3 titles in the last 10 years without Alabama. Saban is the GOAT. Kirby is the best Defensive Mind maybe ever in College Football. His hands are on the 3 greatest college Defenses. Last night was the Best Defense vs the Hottest Defense. That was a battle. Congrats to ALL Georgia fans on a TITLE you deserve and I look forward to 2 more games next year. RTR. Saban vs Smart is now the modern day Woody vs Bo.

yeah, but you will never live this down. HERBIE is the only coach in the last 50 years (prob longer), that wasn't coaching an independent, that has won his 1st NC without winning his conference too. Those other coaches would not have played for the NC if they had not won their conference. Herbie got a backdoor pass on his 1st. Like Harbaugh, Herbie always manages to screw the pooch one game a year. Saban was 13 pts from 8-4, 21 from 7-5 and Herbie couldn't get 2 wins.

They won this Championship on his 75th birthday, and I can't even begin to tell you just how much that meant to our family to see him experience that again after 41 years. So thankful for these coaches and this team for giving my dad a smile I'll never forget. GO DAWGS!!

I tell you what...its a lot of Coaches and Universities ...that are spitting and dreading the day that UGA would win a Chip..... Kirby had to change a lot of Kids and Parents minds that Georgia, Atlanta...sports teams couldnt get it done, that was a real thing in the minds of a lot of folks and def the kids. That was the only thing holding UGA back from getting anything they want...we got that "Black Card" now and that thing is unlimited Kirby is about to tear it up in recruiting now that he got that Chip and the fact that he did it against Bama was "Everything"!! Nick new it...when Nick and Kirby met center field after the game that smile said it all.

If he can get the offense to the same level it will be scary. Interesting to hear Kirby's take on NIL and the portal. He is mastermind at navigating the portal and he still acknowledges that it's not good for football(along with NIL).
