I've been very frustrated at times but we have to realize Kirby has only been a HC since he joined the Georgia staff and building a machine takes time. What we are seeing this season is we are starting to see the results of what he's been trying to build at UGA.

That rose bowl game is the only time I have legit cried after a football game lol. I was so freaking happy. I've been a fanatic since 2001 after the hobnail boot call and I was so incredibly thrilled I was gonna see my Dawgs go to the national championship. Sucks we lost but this year feels different. We will get a national championship this year and I hope and pray the Braves win tomorrow so we can have a world series under our belt as well lol

Same!!! Now that Rose bowl game was something else. I loved it!!! It was interesting and fun to watch and at the same time I was on the edge of my seat the whole game. We didn't win the Natty that year but we still have the rose bowl game to look back at. Hopefully the Dawgs will win it all!!! But even if they don't I'm still proud of them!!

even after winning a natty in '21, that rose bowl game is still my favorite game I have ever watch from UGA. That rose bowl game was amazing. The atmosphere, the back and forth, everything about that game was amazing! Just sad we lost in the Natty that year on the last play...

After years and years of seeing us being so talented on both sides of the ball but let down in big games , I’m glad to say we are national champions . And look to be going back another year *fingers crossed*

This year, our first touchdown was from the defensive pick 6 and it ended the same way, too! What an omen! Kirby is the man!

I was worried. But u got #1 RIGHT!! In the Granddaddy of Bowls, that was the BEST ROSE BOWL EVVVVVER!!!!! AND WE. WON. IT!!!!! My father, born in 1913, said of the 40s Dog win there “After that they changed the rules, so another Southern team could never win it” I’m sure he was smiling from heaven at that truly epic AND historic win.

I think shutting out Tennessee in Neyland should have at least gotten honorable mention. Of course, this list will be drastically changed now that UGA is the reigning national champs! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Finally won it all this year! That Oklahoma game was SO GOOD! I would watch replays and be entertained. Sad that we had our hearts broken that year tho

I agree with #1 and #2, but the 2017 Notre Dame game should be #3 because it was Fromm's first start on the road against a team that finished in the top ten (I believe), plus it was come from behind. #4 should be the 2021 peach bowl because the Dawgs erased a double digit 4th quarter deficit to win in a dramatic fashion. I believe that game spurred on this incredible 2021 run.

The Rose Bowl was the best Georgia Game I ever saw in my life....And that was the best EVER GEORGIA TEAM talent wise...

Kudos to Kirby Smart. His best attribute is being able to recruit at an elite level. He is fortunate that the administration finally woke up and realized that you need to spend huge to win championships. Prior to Kirby's arrival, UGA was middle tier in the SEC in terms of facilities, coaching salaries, support staff, etc. You cannot consistently win big unless the program spends big money to lure the elite athlete on campus. Clemson is proof of that, as is Alabama, OSU, etc. Spending millions does not guarantee championships, but it almost does guarantee that you won't unless you do.

Lifetime UGA fan grew up listening to them on AM 750 and Munson announcing the games so i cried like a baby when they won a national title cause my dad couldn't be here to celebrate it. He was alive when Kirby was hired but was gone 2 yrs later so this title meant the world to me.
