@@RICARD01 Misinformation. North Carolina had just burned their last timeout, so the clock was stopped until the ball was snapped. Did you notice how the play clock was ticking down, but the game clock was not? They needed a first down to keep the ball in their possession to the last second.

@@RICARD01 no the other guy is right. You don't kneel it and then punt the ball back when you have a chance to pick up the first down. Nobody does that. I didn't realize the clock was stopped there. If they kneeled it, there would've been more than 20 seconds left

Actually it was GT that called the timeout, but yes, the game clock was not running. Had to have a first down to keep control of the clock, which they did. It was outstanding clock management by Coach Key.

Tech guy here. I haven’t had that much fun watching a game at Bobby Dodd in a long time. For us to beat a ranked ACC team at home on prime time ACC is something Tech hasn’t done in a while. I feel so good for our fan base who have had to endure so many heartbreaks and disappointments. We are still too inconsistent, hopefully this is a sign of something being built. But we needed this win to get some momentum back in our sails. I’m so proud of our boys. They never gave up. Go Jackets! 🐝🏈❤️

It’s a zone read, the running back is supposed to “mesh” with the qb for the handoff. Basically, it’s up to the qb on whether he can pull it out or not lol. Gotta have a good grip on it to do it right.

Liberty might wind up being ranked as well, they’re 8-0 out of Conference USA and they’re second in votes behind Florida who got whooped by Georgia. USC barely beat California and Tulane barely beat Rice. Add on Arizona upsetting Oregon State and Kansas over Oklahoma and actually Air Force might move up from 19 all the way up to 15 possibly. Quite some chaos that happened this week, that’s for sure. The rankings are going to be stirred up

This isn't an upset. Whenever a team has Mack Brown as their coach, "losing anywhere, everywhere" should be accepted. Mack Brown can design the most awful defeats and the largest scoring-margin losses in 100-year-histories. And then lose worse a couple of years later. He loves to lose, and loves to rack fans over those losing coals. Congratulation, NC. Glad you have him and not some other hapless program.
