All political intrigue/theater/drama is brought about by factions existing in the population. If there were none, politics would be very simple. I love it. That's why I hate any political ideology claiming to bring "equity" and such......Humans are much too complex and diverse in thought to enforce such a thing.

I agree with most parts except for all descriptions of Queen Anne. Examples to support my point of view would be her official speech during her coronation, the fact that she is the only monarch under House of Stuart who is willing to work with the parliament and the fact that the previous monarchs were unable to form the stable political status that Queen Anne achieved after Acts of Union 1707. This proved that she is, in fact, the most achieving and the most accomplished monarch of all Stuarts. If you do not know, she is regarded by some communities as "the Gloriana of the Stuarts". Therefore, Queen Anne was not just a lady who spent most of her time playing "cards" and being sick, although she handle matters by emotion and the fact that she really is ill throughout her life.

Why talk about it, when you can read it here: www.laits.utexas.edu/poltheory/james/blaste/blaste.html If you want a cliff-notes version: he first address why the supposed medicinal claims are bullshit, the adds his own novel reasons for why smoking sucks. The arguments rely on the outdated concept of the four humors, but that's what people thought at the time. But basically: 1-it's not good for the brain (correct, albeit with the wrong reason) 2-the medical properties are not demonstrable, and even contradict each other (also correct) 3-it stinks and is unhygienic (you should see what smoking does to the teeth) 4-it rots people (again, correct, but not the way he meant necessarily).

I mean Oliver Cromwell was basically a king in everything but name and it's interesting that Cromwell achieved the absolute power that kings of England had sought so desperately. 🤔I guess titles do change everything, I mean perhaps the title lord protector doesn't necessarily seem to allude to kingship but in Cromwell's case it was essentially a de facto Kingly title.

The claim that in Britain the monarchy was overthrown, a republic established, then monarchy restored "That never happened anywhere else!" It was: Spain in the 20th century by the Fascists they overthrew the king, established a republic, then in 1978 democracy AND monarchy re-established.

Well, not quite Franco had the support of the Italian and Germany governments--the latter sent the Condor legion. And as the person replying to you said: it almost immediately led to rebellion and Civil War. The English just sort of decided they wanted Charles II back, because they knew the rights and responsibilities of kingship. In fact, the parliament had offered Cromwell himself the crown, since a lord protector's function was not defined: they feared Cromwell had too much power. There was no outside interference as such (the man who spearheaded this was one of Cromwell's own Major-Generals)

"to hell with this shit... counter-revolution time... restore the Crown and thus... legitimacy"... then in 1688/89 you DON'T do the retarded thing again, in which you abolish the Crown... you just depose a King... and Crown another King instead.

Even though Christmas is a pagan "yule" God celebration. It's clear your history on the matter is distorted. Never once did the apostles celebrate Christmas. Rome Catholic Church which King James calls the seat of the anti-Christ. So just do the research and learn the truth of your pagan celebration the Roman Catholic Church introduced.

J Cassel Thanks J for telling the truth. I have learned much by leaving America to learn the truth. It was such a pleasant shock to my system to find the original Statue of Liberty in Paris and to find that she is a Black woman with her head wrapped, holding a lantern and dressed in white. I also found that this is so because Blacks held the deeds to Paris for hundreds of years. From France I visited museums in Scotland where I found that King James was also a black man who was the only King to rule three nations; England (Angel Land), Scotland, and Ireland. This black King James was born in 1566 in the castle in Edinburg, Scotland to Mary Queen of Scots; also a black woman. In Ireland I was shown all the black royalty and was assured that there always have been "Black Irish". Because King James was a direct descendent of King David and King Solomon, he was the arch enemy of the occult known as Catholicism who worshipped idols and still do today; the occult plotted with others such as Oliver Cromwell to bring about the deaths of James and his son Prince Charles I. The deeper I dig into our past the happier I become to know that we blacks in America are the true Jews; we are the true Israelites; we are the Creator's chosen people while the thieves occupying Israel since only 1948 will soon be caused to vacate our lands.

The thing that gets me about James I being bisexual. Rather than acting with disgust or whatever, there were nobles with say a pretty young nephew who would introduce them to the king, to curry favour. Being related to a Kings favourite had it's advantages after all.

Charles I was 163 cm tall. His grandmother Mary Queen of Scots was 180 cm tall. His Bourbon wife Henrietta was also likely short as her nephew Louis XIV was 163 cm tall. But Charles II was 185 cm tall and James VII was most likely as tall. Mary II was also 180 cm tall.

It has been suggested that Mary could have had Marfan syndrome which would explain her height although I don't know if that is true. If it is true she may not of passed the condition to James although James father was also very tall, one of the few men who was taller than Mary. Perhaps James just wasn't eating the healthiest of food. We may never know.
