Haha, I was actually quite happy to find this one on Reddit. It would've been such a shame to let one of these NPCs "free" from their fate at Henry's hand.

Stuck in The Void with nothing but cracklings, doomed to eternal salt-induced thirst. With that, all the people stuck on roofs, Horse Bridge, and the murders, your Henry is one step away from being some kind of obscure Slavonic demon.

Yup, that is a fun cutscene there. I know that surprises a lot of people early in the game. The one downside to that cutscene, it leads you straight into combat rather than allowing you to sneak away, but its fun to see something different due to your actions.

Haha that is amazing, its such a tuck away option to get that to happen, like lots of little things got to happen. And after you beat the game once and you know who to kill in the Monastery, I do not think of a reason why anyone would want to talk to the other novices at all to make this happen. This seems only on the first playthrough that someone would see this, but never again sort of deal :P

@@helicalgoose All true, but what's funny is that my runs of the game have all been so spread out, that most of the time I have forgotten completely who Pious was lmao, which always seems kind of dumb but I'm happy for it because it all feels new again haha As a side note, on the KCD wiki for the "Noble's black-yellow hood," it currently says that it is "Worn by Karl's father who can only be spawned by using cheat codes." xdddddd I can't believe after 6 years, there are still numerous errors in the wiki, at least 5 more I've seen myself. Just edited it (i hope correctly lmao), as well as the wiki for Karl's Father since it was completely blank. As a side note, did that final mystery easter egg that the devs said still had not been found a long time ago ever get uncovered? Or was it just made up to build hype around the game lol

I hope KCD2 has just as much freedom as KCD1 its amazing what you can do in this game

I hope so too! When increasing the scale of the game it seems that more little things could get overlooked for more situations to be fun. The downside reading is that in Kuttenberg it seems that not every building will be open to let Henry go into, which sort of a bummer, but we shall see if it means they're cutting back on a lot of other little things that doesn't allow too much freedom, but who knows, I am still hopeful!

@@helicalgoose Even if not every building is enterable then KCD2 could still easily have way more building you can enter, the game looks massive, Kuttenberg alone is like every town in KCD1 put together.

@@Lattrodon 100%, I think the devs were saying that Rattay would be a single street in Kuttenberg, sooooo with that in mind its probably gigantic. The only thing I would hate to see is traveling down large parts of town and all the buildings are boarded up, except shops which is sort of meh in most games to me, but understandable. Hopefully there isn't large sections boarded up. The other thing they did that too was due to optimization or just have much loading time its going to cause/lag it could tank the FPS for certain!

If you have high enough lock picking and sneak you can just slip out of the monestary and grab all your things while still being "Brother Gregor" and doing your daily duties. Managed to get all my armor and weapons and they were none the wiser.

Oh 100% this is the best idea. You can also pre-store you stuff in a box downstairs where if you go to monastery jail when you get out you can just grab all your stuff and go about your day without having to leave. The downside is that sometimes the monastery police, will stop you and you either get kicked out or they steal all your stuff at the worse times. The nerve of those monks not letting Henry pack 100 different poisons and weapons in the house of god!

Actually what I do is go into the basement beforehand and put all my necessary supplies in the chest that is downstairs in the cellar. Then I start the monastery mission so I don't have to sneak out even though at some point you have to for the side missions

@@HurriShane00 fair, I was doing the quest like normal until I poked around the Abbot's room and found the exit by accident. Just grabbed my gear and managed to continue a few more days as a monk with full Milanese gear in my pouch as well as some useful potions to save me time on the alchemy quest.

@@zankfrappa6427 absolutely. You can leave at any given time even when the doors are locked, because there is a way to get out. One is in the cellar where there's that chest I was talking about and you can just walk out the door that's right there. And then you can just head over to that room where all your stuff is and go grab it and go right back in. The thing is, there is side missions that actually get you to go outside at night and that's another opportunity to grab your stuff, cuz I'm not mistaken they actually give you the key to get out. I haven't done that mission in so long and I'm looking forward to it when it comes around soon for me. I'm really taking my time this playthrough and I've just hit the nest of vipers Mission. But I'm taking my time doing other side missions first before I take on the main quests again

@@HurriShane00 haha I got so bored trying to do the side missions while following the daily agenda but I did manage to get the guy to leave the building with me. Couldn't get his die though, he went to jail and I killed him in prison for the die.

Been watching your guides on slaughtering and it’s awesome. Your skalitz tips gave me an Amazing head start on survival and killing like high heights tips are great. Been avoiding jail now

I think it’s only if you fully accuse the wrong guy or if you inform them of your search when they don’t like you yet. I told all of the novices about my search after doing quests to help them and they all were chill with it

The only one that snitches is Siskan. All the other novices are just too scared to deal with Henry. Which makes summoning Karl's Father cutscene even harder, since you got to mess with the only person that can summon him, and not get the quest borked by the monk police and thrown in jail where it messes up the whole thing :P

Slightly off topic, yet still speaking of rare things, there is an interaction in the prologue that I've only been able to trigger a single time. Right after triggering the Tavern scene with the German, but before painting his house, if you run really quick and locate Bianca before your friends leave the Tavern, you can get unique dialogue from her, either about Mathew and Fritz being idiot troublemakers, or about Mathias and Johanka having a thing for one another. But that's not the hard to trigger part. No. After the fight with the Germans son and Zbyshek, you are prompted to flee the guards and meet up behind Kuneshs house. After following your friends there, you can start a dialogue with them and ask them to help with Kunesh if you haven't taken care of that yet. All that is typical for my playthroughs. But once, I got unique dialogue from initiating the dialogue from behind Kuneshs house. I got Mathew to make a joke about Johanka liking Mathias and that's why she came to warn us. I've never been able to replicate the steps required to produce this dialogue though, despite running through the prologue many, many times.

Many thanks for that heads up. Ill have to take a look at this sometime. There are a bunch of little hidden dialogues all around that people tend not to see since most of us follow the little shield icons all around to keep the game moving :P

6:17 Oh I'm not sure if any of you are aware of this or not, but this is actually an easter egg and reference to Assassin's Creed! "Nothing is true; everything is permitted." is the literal Creed of the Assassins. Always shocked at how I missed some of these things until much later...

Actually that is amazing and a good centralized location for all the horses :P I do wish that horses and NPCs stayed on roofs when you put them there after saves, then having horses all around would be great to see everytime you pull into the Inn for a little stay.

The monastery quest is one of those quests that nobody likes so they finish it asap, but hidden inside are tons of options and pretty good dialogues! I cut out sooo much from there to be honest. And I am burning through all the KCD content before KCD2 come out lol, I have soooo many post-it notes on my desk for ideas, but more and more keep coming! Glad to hear that you finished Hardcore series and I didn't include him in the final set? Oh damn! I need to correct that sometime, maybe when I finish the "Kill Everything Series", but I don't know if Nightingale would like to be included in the end!

This is the only example ive seen that your actions that was not an objective or dialogue choice grants the player with a unique cutscene/objective. This was sorely missed in my experience with this game. Maybe there are others un yet discovered especially considering the complexity of setting conditions to get this outcome. Probably not though because done normally, this chapter of the game is one of the most complex to get a flawless completion.

100% Honestly, I am trying to think of another one like this... The whole monastery quest was a huge cookup of multi-stage options of things to do, that frustrated players beyond belief, but at the same time gave them the most choices and the most outcomes. Not certain how this happened.

I don't think it's the hood that is the rare clothing piece. Sure Carl's father has to be one of the rarest npcs. Cuz I didn't even know they existed in the game. But I think it's his Dagged Cotehardie. That thing looks pretty sweet So all we have to do is confront the novice and accuse him of being the number one suspect and then the priest will contact his father? But does this mean you can still continue the monastery mission after accusing him or is the monastery Mission over the second you do this

So, there is only one novice that this works on, and that is Siskin. The others will not tell the prior no matter what, which makes Karl's father even more rare because its pretty specific to fall into that. As for the monastery mission I do not know if you can continue. I didn't pay attention to if the mission failed or if it was still good. I want to say it was a fail since the the head monk was chasing after you too lol. As for the clothing piece, I wasn't sure which piece was the most rare but the other person was talking about the hood. I don't remember seeing that in the game, but it could be both the items to be honest. Its a strange thing to find just a one of kind item like that, which is good for RP dress up if you wanted :P

@@helicalgoose thank you. This helps. I know it was only the one novice but by the looks of it I haven't found that under shirt that he was also wearing anywhere else. There are other variants just not in that color. I really do enjoy playing the monastery Mission so that's what I was wondering if it can still be continued once you accuse siskin of being the traitor. Not like you said if the head monk chases you down I think he's going to kick you out of the monastery so probably can't finish it. There are other rare items of clothing and armor where there is only one variant or only a couple, the first one I can think of is the redecorated vest with can only be found on one person and the only spawns for a short period of time at the Sasau Tavern. His Name Escapes me at the moment. Master Fresci...or something. I'd have to.double check. I think it's a pretty sharp-looking red vest and he stays at the tavern for a short period of time sleeping in the upstairs room so it's easy to take it from him at night when he's sleeping. Another obvious one is sir radzig's Hood are the brocade pourpoint. Or whatever it's called. Hans capons shirt. I found three different ones. The one that he wears that you can steal in the bath hoses. There's one in Talmber in sir diviishs room in the cabinet next to his bed. And the third third one I actually just found today is in the upper castle where the tournament ring, when you go upstairs there's a chest right at the door. It's in there outside of sir hanushs room.

Haven’t watched this yet but is it you uploaded into the game to stop Henry? Or help him?

Ah unfortunately you can only access the dot by playing on PC. This isn't a mod, just something you can access by typing into the basic console command. For KCD2 I really do hope they put it in the menu for you to be able to turn the dot on and or off.

That is actually amazing. Such a rare occurrence, not impossible, but just so unlikely to find that cutscene + NPC. Yah, apparently its one of a kind there. It does go well with the Rattay color scheme, so if yellow and black if your Henry's jam, its not bad.

I love how you casually pull out an obscure reddit post. Thats dedication. I had no idea this dialogue and quest line even exists. What is even the outcome of him showing up ? Does he just beat you and banish you from the Monastery ? (edit: he beats you up and throws you in jail for 10 days) Also who cares about the cape look at that jacket bruv: Dagged cotehardie. Actually messing with the other novices in the same way does not get Karl's father to come in a cutscene just Siskin, buuuuuutt..they have amazing dialogue! So, spawning Karl's father is ultra specific mess up with the right person. But after the cutscene you're basically naked getting chased by Karl's father and like three guards. Soooo basically you're tossed out of the monastery at that point. You can escape it easily, but then Karl's father just poofs away, so I had to kind of hide a bit then come back to actually get Karl's father by himself.

just out of curiosity, how many hours do you have in the game? :DD

lol, that is the Cuman helmet you can get from the "Masquerade" quest with Hans and Fritz. Not that good of a helmet, but good RP if that is your thing :P I like the cuman chest piece better since it doesn't block Henry's facial expression during cutscenes.
