Kingdom Come Deliverance: The Fists Strikes Back (Pacifist Run Part 2)

Ойындар

Welcome back to Kingdom Come Deliverance the Pacifist Run! Part 2!!
I know it is not in the title, but I was feeling cheeky with the new computer setup and thought to make something different template wise.
Originally I was going to make the pacifist run into just a two part series, but my gooses the editing was taking way longer than I thought.
I decided to break this into a three part series to make certain that the quality of the edits does not suffer towards the end of the video.
Part 3 of the Pacifist run should be coming out next week, I currently have most of it completed, just need to change things up a little for it make more sense.
But hopefully this will work for you all! Enjoy as always!

Honestly, I did not know about this quest until about 4 months ago. It is one of those things you have to do a bunch of other side missions to get it to show up. I did not explain it fully, but I believe you have to beat up the fisherman brawler quests and be far enough in the story for it to show up!

The Monastery mission is actually very well written and crazy how many different ways you can solve it. One of the better missions. I think the problem is that, the most straight forward mission that the game leads you down (or quest markers) is through one of the slower pathways that really restricts how free you can be in the game. I think that is one of the few missions in the game where you're limited to where you can go or what you can do, while in the monastery. Sort of a huge shift in the standard freedom we are use to where we can do a mission however we like. I do not like doing the monastery mission the standard way, but the rest of the ways are quite doable.

Yes, catching Ulrich is possible exactly how you said. Park that horse next to the door before you go and it makes it easier. I completely forgot about that, and my horse was in the middle of the forest slowly walking over to me while Ulrich got away. Even then it is possible to catch him, but I got way too jittery and hit a tree, opps. But good thing the game does not "fail" you at this point, otherwise the rage machine would happen :P

I believe you had to beat up the Fisherman people and all that before the Cuman thing showed up. I was originally going to keep it in, but the boxing up peasant part even with deep cuts explaining more was about 15 minutes by itself! I thought keeping it to a lower 3 minutes was better, but I did lose the "reason" behind it other than showing off a strange activity. Funny how for some the Monastery quest is brilliant and for others it's kryptonite. I think one reviewer on KZread (Franklygaming?) named it as his best quest in any game ever. 😄 Anyways you don't need to do it really. On my second playthrough I just snuck in, stabbed the one I knew was Pious and stole his dice. On the other hand, you don't even need the dice to get into the camp later, plus you can get the dice from the crimps themselves. However, I don't really understand why it's not possible to simply not do the quest at all, and then lie or kill the crimps. You HAVE to either kill Pious without becoming a novice, or become a novice and do the whole questline.

  • @helicalgoose

I think for people that can stomach their way through the whole Monastery quest and get into the murder mystery and like the intrigue of a whole area it is an amazing quest. Soooo many options to go around and its quite detailed. Like the devs put some time into this area and quest. SequentialGamer did a few videos I think about all the options and how to and explains the whole situation really well. [I think he missed one line or tree you can down, which I might show off later, but its super rare! so I don't blame him at all] Buuuut, for me who has been blazing hot with a Henry flying through the game, the Monastery feels like the brakes slammed and you're stuck in an area. For most new players, you don't know what to do other than just go with the whole Monastery quest to figure out who is who, so the option of just running in and killing the right person is not really on the table. Its a good quest, but I don't know how to describe if its badly implements or just put in the wrong progression area of the game, if that makes sense. :D

That is the good or down side to speech. You can away with just about anything and skip parts of the game, but really the bad part is that you're usually skipping the better missions!

I thought the same at first. But I will have to say that the Monastery quest does have a lot of options. My favorite of course is running into the Monastery, killing the monks and getting the dice then running out. Best option :P
