Yeah, but they tried to do a paid DLC and people were not having none of that shit sandwich and then the company backed off for they were literally taking up arms against slings and spears them Blacking out the sun itself with an ocean of arrows we fired upon them. Not because they were hard, but because you can kill them 10 times and they’ll still come back, heck even follow you into another region sometimes. I bet you there’s someone out there who actually beats up their own follower uruks just to see what they do

@@zeal705 I remember I had an Uruk nemesis when I first played, forget his name but he'd always introduce himself with the creepiest, most menacing laugh you've ever heard. He had Iron Will so I could never recruit him so I'd just shame him over and over and he'd keep showing up whenever I least expected it. It's like he was stalking me or something.

Playing on brutal is a beautiful dance of blades and combat while playing on gravewalker is closer to being told to go actually be a one man army with barely any help and 2 hits from normal weapons will always kill you and you must focus far more on running away than spamming execute and abusing elven rage

Hell, If they got rid of the nemesis system i wouldn't even care because shadow of wars combat is the best. No game comes close to how satisfying it is.

@@kron1k880 I don't see what it being a AA game has to do with it's quality, you can have something below AAA and have it be good like you can have something AAA and have it be bad(like a lot of games nowadays). Plus, the gameplay is perfectly fine, good stealth, combat reminiscent of the Arkham series, the nemesis system, building up an orc army and sieging fortresses, it's really, really damn good.

@@OrionDawn15 As someone who has played a lot AC games and finished all dishonored series stealth is not that good for me. I also finished the arkham series so combat bored me quickly but like i said nemesis is fun and special experience. (Graphics not that bad for a 2a game)

Shadow of Mordor/War are 2 of my favorite games of all time! Nice to see Kev playing this one. Also Forthog I'm pretty sure is an homage to someone on the dev team who passed during production.

The "Shadow of" series is great. It's completely not canon and basically fanfiction, but it's something that, while off the rails, is still respectful to Tolkien's works and something you could believe would happen.

No other game has ever made me feel like a complete monster and an actual force to be reckond with like the shadow of mordor/war series. I really wish they would make a new one but i know talions story has been told. I personally have completed this game 7 times. 2 of which were before the shadow wars got cut back. (You know, when it used to be 12 fortresses you had to defend/reclaim before you got the true ending instead of 6.) Talion is up there charecter wise with arthur morgan, joel miller, lee everette and clementine in my opinion.

@@topnotchplayer2255 they'd have your bases be attacked twice. And you'd have to reclaim them all over again if you lost the seige. Players complained so much they cut it from 12 to 6

After I broke Bruz, the next time I saw him I think I had to shame him again to be able to recruit him. So there he was, with a metal face pretty much, and when I saw him again I recruited him and finally put him in charge of the castle he wanted. I kinda wish you were able to assign him as warchief right from the start though

​@@folpthecrowonce I was farming for a necromancer and my bodyguard olog decided to betray me. But he could have been potential necromancer as well, so I decided to recruit him for later. During one of my shamings to break his iron will he became fatally vulnerable to beasts as champion beast master (you already see where it's going). My next encounter with him, guy summons graug. Beast swings it's hand to punch me and sends that olog straight into stratosphere.

I do wish we were able to keep Bruz, or even Ranger. Just their unique voicelines were cool, but they had to make Bruz the tutorial Orc who teaches you about Recruiting, Sieges, Betrayal and Deranged Orcs.

Legit one of my favorite games of all time, love to see you playing more of it! I highly recommend the dlc focusing on the desert with the permadeath mode, it’s fantastic and has a lot of fun changes compared to the main campaign

I swear there is moments in this game where the A.I. just says “No F you. I’m done. FIRE EVERYTHING.” And you suddenly get into an impossible fight with ever increasing odds.

Lol Bro the comment details the very odd moments sometimes in game, whether it was a bug or something getting flagged in the nemesis system. But when playing on the hardest difficulty, the game will randomly just start throwing orc after orc after orc at you tell suddenly you have 5-10 high level warlords and captains and hundreds of grunts everywhere. And it just doesn’t stop no matter how many you kill or run away. That’s more than skill issue little bud, that’s the game mechanics going haywire on players sometimes. Just because you didn’t experience it, doesn’t mean others got shafted randomly out of no where. Lol hell I’ve even Beaten the game without dying no dur yah dip. But I’ve also had these insane moments in the game of endless impossible odds. Get fucked. Lol

Shadow of War is one of my favourite games of all time, it's criminal how underrated this game is

It would've been much more successful if its initial release hadn't been brought down by lootboxes and generally shitty monetization. Thankfully those were removed when it proved to be harming the sales, but the damage was already done.

I have to thank you, I kinda forgot I even had these games. But watching you play through them reminded me how amazing they were so I re downloaded and started playing them from scratch since I pretty much forgot everything about how to play it. They're so satisfying. And it's amazing how much better they look even all these years ago than gollum that is a new release. Wild.

I would take a new game with new characters and story with the nemesis system. I could be faramir defending gondors front alongside Boromir. Or gandalf fighting the war against Sauron in the second age. Literally any other story would work, because its not the story these games rely on, its the nemesis system and its more than enough to carry a future installment no matter the hero, villians, or plot. Just give me more carnage and gore and betrayal and domination.

Only 12 years till the patent runs out then devs can go to work (hopefully) utilising it to its fullest potential

If you want a fun experience, grab enough of the marauder set pieces to unlock the mirian (silver coins the orcs drop) boosting your damage effect. This effect can snowball into instakilling anything, especially if you find an oolog (big guy) with a gem above its head. Add white gems to your weapons to make enemies drop even more mirian. Also the vengeance dagger, legendary from vendeta missions, gives full adrenaline (was it adrenaline? It's been too long, the bar that allowes you to do executions is what I mean) with quick throw every 20 seconds.

There always a point of orchestrating battles to melt minds. Then iron will starts making manics, burnt and limbless foes come back and total chaos is everywhere. Its like a tism simulator

I NEVER get tired of watching Kev play (and clearly enjoy the shit out of) this game 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Worth the playthrough. Great replay ability. The nemesis system is just so unique and makes the game stand out a lot used to play the shit out of his game like 4-5 years ago
