People don't seem to realize how insignificant our actions as character are in KCD we just a nobody that is unaturaly quick learner in the grand scale of things our actions amount to nothing we can't change history

Yup, I want to say that is what the devs were sort of trying to go with in making their historical game. Like Hanush and Divish are probably the two most powerful people in the game, but both of them had really no power to stop history or the events themselves. So to think Henry would do anything is a long stretch. But its good to be part of the historical time and sort of "witness" history or play it in the time frame. Even with me goofing around in the game a ton, I still learned waaaaay more about 1403 and the whole politics of the day than I ever would be interested in a book or youtube video.

Yup, I agree that KCD is crazy different. Most of the time historical settings you're on a train cart ride taking all the views, here you're on a very large train that you're allowed to screw around on. Don't know if that makes sense but works! :D

I hope they give us Prague. Some actual big city, not just village, to mess around in. Even if its seperate map area, it would be cool to actually do some missions in there or try to have it as some kind of hub (Similar to Novigrad from Witcher 3). Also if said game will be in 10 years since KCD1 story, I hope they let us choose who to side with (Royalty or Hussites).

I can see them giving us one large city and then the rest smaller places. I don't know if they give us a choice at the end especially how KCD1 ended it was more we got railroaded into one decision, but then again this could be different since now we have high politics and other things could come in mind. But with how much voice acting and scenes they made for KCD1 I can't imagining them making split decisions because the amount of work it would create. But who knows! I wouldn't mind that at all if it was the case!

I'm about 250 hours into my 2nd playthrough, didn't even finish the first one after I saw Helicals video about the bug that triggered all those people into the fields near Skalitz and Rovna. I got as far as the beginning of the siege of Talmberg castle but promptly abandoned that save and started anew. Just for the sake of getting those extra people and horses into the game, to be moved wherever I wanted. It brings a whole new level to the game! As an example, I carried a Cuman to the dormitory of the Monastery, where he was eventually killed by a Sasau guard. The alarm went off but the prior realized I didn't whack him. The real killer was all "Who could have killed him...". Eventually they tired of it all and the murder remains unsolved. Anyway... now I'm somewhere in the middle of the game, pre-Vranik. Not rushing it at all. Just enjoying walks in the forrest, hunting, trading, this and that. Trying to keep it as immersive as possible. I've said it before but I really hope this immersive aspect gets enhanced in KC:D 2, with more interactions, inexhaustible random events, everyday life things happening outside of missions. The missions are really secondary to me. A province teeming with activity is much more important.

@@boogiesmell5181 I am absolutely glad you enjoy messing with the KCD world as much as I do. Picking up the random Villager or Cumans from Rovna and putting them other places made the game sort of like my own. Its strange, but the save file I did that on and moving everyone around is one of the best worlds I do not want to delete, even though its just KCD game, but now its something I messed up and have my own stories with. It makes me happy you were able to do the same, and now I am jealous I didn't drag one of those people to the monastery and have a story with that :D

I do hope that it is KCD 2. Though if they do similar type of game with more qol stuff maybe i'd be happy. I just hope they stick with some sort of RPG or atleast a game set in older times.

I completely agree with you on all points. KCD2 would be ideal. If its something else with a similar wheelhouse, I would be disappointed slightly but still intrigued on what they are putting out. From the single image given it at latest looks like a "older times" setting, but some people are thinking it could be a 1800's coat or something much later than 1500's sooo who knows.

Haha, there is always a reason to keep on living, and that is to see the next sequel to the game! And I am not too worried about the review to be honest. @@helicalgoose This surprised me as well, kinda upset on your behalf that you did not get to see the trailer ahead of time. Would have been well deserved. I wonder what criteria they had. Roxy (SexyBiscuit) got to see it and while also deserved and I like his stuff as well, he has produced less content (I think) but has a very different style, always highly positive while your content is mischievous to say the least ;) . Maybe predictability was the main factor? Don't know, doesn't really matter, it's a small thing. Loved your reaction at 2:09 :D

But in my head I think its more that I do not do "reaction" videos or go deep dives into advertisements so it probably would be lost on me. Also they never really worked with me on anything so they probably do not want to risk anything. Also I am pretty small channel so it could just be I got lost below the tides, there are soooo many different channels out there, so I don't take anything personally in this sort of thing :D

lol, it might not be till the end of the year before new Henry content (well other than "Killer Henry" series) but I thought there would be a new Elder Scrolls or something similar before KCD2 but I am not complaining!

Have you seen the clip where a developer refers to KCD as “the first game” then makes a “oh fuck” face and recovers. That was the proof for me lol.

Haha, I am excited to see KCD2 announced, I didn't think it would've happened this soon. Like you said end of this year but no date. For a game that is about 2x larger than KCD and bigger cities, ummm I am holding my breath and thinking it might more like late late in the year maybe even early 2025. These types of open world games, there are soooo much that can go wrong, but it looks like classics KCD a little upgraded and boom. As video ideas go, I am in a panic because I have soooooo many ideas for KCD 1 but its a timing issue. I might make a poll discussing this more and see what people want, but there are only so many weeks (release dates) before the end of the year so got to make some decisions!

*Gasp* Were you looking into my video files! Actually, I was working on a bit with logo's on people's faces all Friday and Saturday and nothing was working out. I got some great voice lines, but honestly, I wasn't laughing and things seemed forced and didn't flow correctly. I had a bit in there about Warhorse making a game so Henry could get his sword and then Henry goes off "a bunch of clips" talking about his sword he is looking for, but bah, I decided to keep it simpler and not waste more time. That is time I could be spent editing the next episode of "Killer Henry" lol. Hopefully it wasn't disappointing.

Man I feel spoiled with this. Just found KCD in January this year and have not stopped playing it since. I'm hoping this will be like a kid discovering RDR right before RDR2 is announced... Cannot wait for tmrws announcement.

Its crazy to think it is actually happening, maybe by the end of this year! As video ideas go, I am in a panic because I have soooooo many ideas for KCD 1 but its a timing issue. I wish I could keep up the Baldur's Gate content, but I feel like I need to adjust my own timeline now. With Baldur's Gate I was sort of waiting for an update patch to fix something that I had in my the devs said they were going to release, but now I am in a bind for time. Also I wanted to readjust the Baldur's Gate storyline to move faster, since long series tend to have people drop off way too fast haha Anyways! Keep an eye out for a community post, ill probably do one sooner or later.

Haha, glad to hear that. Hopefully I can do it justice, or not make it boring. I feel like the first play through will be rather boring compared to the standard KCD Hardcore Henry and Killer Henry, but we shall see :D I can't wait to explore another world and mess with it :P

I don't get how people can think it's anything else. The game ended on an obvious cliffhanger to setup a sequel. Plus, KC:D was a tremendous success financially. The publisher ain't going to let them not follow up on proven success.

I understand that many working in "Warhorse studios" are from the former "Illusion Softworks" which I know was sold to 2K and they probably have the rights for it so it aint going to happen, but I would love "Hidden & Dangerous 3"

At least on my side it is really hard to find out who owns what IPs or economic rights to games anymore. If it was sold to 2K then it may never see the light of day again which is a shame. They are sitting on a ton of titles that they will most likely never reboot or use again. HD3 is probably one of those :/

I think you're right on that. But it seems the purpose of the next game that people are pointing at is religious wars or something. Don't know if that is the setting for next game, but Kingdom Come: Holy something? Holy Rollers? lol Whatever its called I think it won't have the 2, just next in the series like you said.

But then they made this announcement earlier this week sooo it being a late April's fools day is a bit strange and really ballsy. That would be a hell of a PR nightmare, they might have to delete their accounts for a little bit :P

Saying it's a new game doesn't mean it's not a sequel? A sequel is a new game. Saying its blowing away people's expectations doesn't mean it's subverting expectations it means it looks really good.

Agreed! It could be something completely different than KCD2, which it possibly could be! The current images out there suggests that it could be in Kuttenberg but most of the events there happen like 10-15 years later than where we left Henry so, it could be a sort of sequel or a prequel or something different but same universe? We shall see!

Yah, its good to see they have another game in the works no matter what it is. Id be disappointed if its not KCD2 but it looks so far even with latest update that it might be KCD related at least. Looks like Kuttenberg is involved.

"Announcement" doesn't mean "Release". Best case scenario - They'll confirm the title and put an estimate release date in short trailer, like end of 2024 for example.

100% correct about the release part. But the fact that the game actually exists and being worked on and out of the so called shadows is more than enough. Hopefully it will not be like the Elder Scrolls 6, where they announce like 3 years ago and never mention it again :P

lol, its coming, I am slowly making one. Oooo, that could be a thing, but they have been silent for a long time. My guess is that it could be a November release date for the holiday season? Or if they do it before the summer for a summer release I will lose my bananas. I would have to speed up the Killer Henry series in a flash!

The main issue is that I would have to do a "boring" playthrough first because I wouldn't know how the game is suppose to be played at all. But we shall see, being a jerk Henry is my specialty.

Yaaah, I am hoping that the game release date is relatively close. My guess that the game will most likely be release for the christmas seasons like November. But if it happens sooner, then oh god, xmas has came early!

It looks pretty good. Looks like they kept the KCD look and upgraded it slightly. I am just praying that it doesn't melt my video graphics card!

I guess I saw SexyBiscuit's video several years ago (around 2021) where he talked about some storyline leaks or something - apparently the part from prologue until Runt fight is chapter 1, then the story with counterfeiters and Talmberg siege is chapter 2 - they were combined in a single game. And then there's chapter 3 which begins with Henry and Hans arriving at a castle where they set out in the epilogue - that would be the sequel

That does sound about right where the game can progress to. My bets so far is that Henry and Hans both get imprisoned or something thats how they lose their stats or something like that. But Can't wait to see what happens!

But they got an bigger budget and the game and their ideas got bigger so they decided to shelve that idea and make the first two acts into kcd. Tobi pr manger said this in an interview before the game released. Not sure if they are going to make an third game or not

You know the forums are sort at arms if they used UE5 or the new Cry engine for this game. Unreal did like this announcement which raise suspicions. But there is old talk about how the devs hate using Unreal sooo its hard to say. Both would be good, and honestly I couldn't tell a difference haha :D

The crazy part is that this game is getting a sequel before Skyrim which came about 7 years before this game....oh god!

It’s probably kcd 2, or at least I hope it is. I can’t really imagine they’d release anything else right now. I’ve heard some people talk about the situation Warhorse is in with their new parent company and the way it was put sounds like both parties kinda need kcd 2 to be a hit. If that is true, which i couldn’t say for sure, I don’t think they’d risk it with a new IP instead of a highly anticipated sequel.

I completely agree with you. KCD2 needs to be a hit otherwise we probably wont see a part 3. Oh god! And a new IP doesn't make sense either, that is a lot of risk for an unknown. My other guess is that its probably a movie announcement like they were helping make it? Things are strange at times.

Well in AAA development most AAA games need to sell well. These are huge investments. And yes Embracer is broke so if KCD fails things will look very bleak for them and warhorse. But that also gives me hope that they want to get it right and have given the team enough time and resources.

I think we are all getting hyped to see the next game. Warhorse did release another "image" from the game I think? So its looking more and more city like, so its getting interesting...can it be KCD 2? Hmmm we shall see, check out their twitter and all for images released.

Yup, its a good time. On Warhorse's twitter or their accounts they're slowly drip feeding clues for the next game. I want to say the latest one is that they have a picture of a cathedral in Kuttenberg...hmm people are speculating!

@@nusretabi7222 Yah, the Aprils 1st announcement they had about "the end" felt like they were teasing us a couple weeks ago. But then they played us on that knowledge and then decided to do this sort of release announcement afterwards. Its an amazing flip. Dont' want to say they got me on this one, but they fooled me this year and I am not even mad!

From the way the ending occurred in KCD, it would be a good possibility that it will be a continuation of the game; there was so much left out and to have the first game end like that would be a disappointment. 6-7 years seems to be a decent time for a 2nd game, it would be phenomenal if the game was made with the newest Unreal Engine, if it is a continuation of the first, I can see it being a huge improvement from the first.

Yup, I agree on the continuation factor. It just seems like an easy walk up story wise. And the six years, even if we mark it down to five years because they released DLC for this game, is still a good portion of time to put together a game that they sort of knew the script for and from what it looks like working with similar voice actors and people so this might work out. Someone pointed out that 2020 might be a dead year since covid stopped things for a bit, but who knows! I am just glad to hear something is coming out of the Warhorse kitchen.

@@raskolnikov6443 I can see this sort of release date you mentioned. It is not too uncommon to have a year before announcement and they did release the first game in February. So maybe they will try to do its again same day or time to fit in. I honestly would be shocked to see the game set to release this summer. I give it 6 months minimum from April 18th on before it releases to the public. But who knows, maybe they will pull a fast one on us and say, "its coming out May 1st" Then I will be in a slight panic!

If you’re at work during the release, take a strategic bathroom break and take some headphones in the stall!

Multiplayer might be something I did not even think about. Not certain how it would work out, but a multiplayer KCD world would be massive but could be really interesting. But I do not know if they have the experience to pull a MMO out of no where, it would be an impressive feat!

I really do hope that unarmed combat does get a better turn this time for certain. Spamming fast punch and dodging people is quite boring after awhile. Also, even at level 20 you're a complete weakling at fist fighting anyone armored, which I guess is accurate? Not certain, but its still boring after you get good. You have the best of timing to check up on a game. KCD is a good game to come back after a year or so and play again from start to end and feel good about it. So depending when the game comes out, you might be able to play the whole game through and then KCD2 would be out real soon haha :D

I would like to think that is what the Warhorse dev team were thinking that they could only delay WW3 if they announced the game and everyone would calm down and be more reasonable. I want to say they're saving Half-Life 3 just in case for the same occasion when things get real real serious.

I hope they release next gen updates to Kingdom Come, I want 60fps and an enhanced graphics.

@@mitchjames9350 Yah I agree on that it the console versions or the game hasn't been "patched" for the last three years. They did have the "language" patch which is something but not an optimized patch. What my guess is that they were more concerned about building a second game and said "this looks good enough" and just left the game how it is. Which the game is playable on PC for certain, but I have heard rough stories on the console versions.

I just hope that map will be bigger, there will be new game mechanics, and more quests and longer main story, and maybe few separate maps! Like original map is one map, and few more maps of surounding castales and vilages and more dlc-like story line for surounding not so important regions...

Hmm, I do wonder what they will do. KCD map was massive already, but what it lacked was a big city to get lost in. Rattay was big, but not that big to ride a horse through and just get out of town in a minute. The only thing that worries me about the massive town is the problem with lag. Rattay dragged your FPS to the ground, sooo double the size oh god. Hope the optimization improves otherwise I am going to have to invest in a 5090ti :P

@@lukamilas2802 Yup, I do hope there are a lot of improvements. A couple things of the things I fear is scope creep, where they try to put too much in the game and then nothing shines, and the other being Embracer having money problems, which they cut out a ton of content and paywall it to heck to make up the cost. Scope creep problem would be my main concern since paying for good content is worth it in the end. But like you said, improvements to the NPCs AI, and some of the graphics would be fantastic. Also optimization so my computer doesn't sound like a jet engine when walking through a town ;)

Warhorse is already more than a decade old. Lets say this really is KCD2. That would mean it took them roughly 7 years to do it. (we dont even have a second game ik) But lets say there will make one more game after that. That would mean 2032. Whole 20 year since WH was launched. I dont recall many big studios making it in one piece for that long. I think we can call ourselves ultra lucky if this is a new kcd game, cuz it might be last one they will ever make. I dont want to be doomer. My take is: whatever this is, be grateful we got it :)

I agree with you quite a bit! I think we are quite lucky/spoiled that studios of some of these games can stay open and make these games over long time periods. Its not cheap to make these games and takes a sort of commitment to fund a project you might not know how it will pan out at the end. I want to say BG3, the owner of Larian Studios said multiple times that their projects could basically kill their company if it didn't work out. Like Divine 2 or BG3. It worked out for them thankfully. With Warhorse it could be the same way, and like you said, it could be their last especially the age of most of their employees take into account. But I will be thankful for whatever it is!

No. They released KCD1 on 2018 and they (as a small team) continued to work on it and the DLCs post release for at least one more year. So the game has been in development for 5 years, though they also had to move the studio and then there was also Covid.

You know, the images that they're giving seem really high quality and if that is part of "gameplay" graphics that would be amazing. Though I am certain its just artwork so got to temper my expectations. But if the trailer doesn't contain any gameplay that would be a bummer. But looking at Warhorses first trailer for the game they sort of did, but its never a lot. We always got to temper our expectations for any game release, especially of lately some other companies been doing some not so fun things.

That is the only thing that really make sense. The other thing I had in mind is that they toss him in jail for like a year or two and that nerfs his skills or something like that. Other than that, I can't really picture anything other than, you play as Henry's son? But if I have to take bets I go with Henry losing skills in jail card. Like you go through the tutorial as powered up Henry then at the end poop hits the fan and get tossed in jail and start at level one, sort of classic video game setup.

From the looks of what Warhorse is releasing new little images day to day, it looks KCD related at least. I do not know if its KCD2 but we might get something close. Today it was an image of a Kuttenberg cathedral soooo, not certain what that means, but the reddit forums for KCD are full of speculation.

I agree. Them releasing a new IP would be a hard mountain to climb and not what a lot of companies do now-a-days due to the risk involved. Also I feel like they already had a framework done from the first KCD, so why not pick up where you're listed.
