Another album recommendation- “No Pussyfooting” by Robert Fripp and Brian Eno. Came out in ‘73 or ‘74. Absolutely stunning and kind of a blind spot for a lot of Prog fans.

I'm 49 and only discovering King Crimson after years of Sabbath, Zeppelin and Motorhead. So far I've bought the 40th anniversary CDs of In the Court of the Crimson King and Larks Tongues. Incredible. Great video. Keep up the good work!

The first KC album I bought. One of my favourites, in the top 5 definitely. What an iconic album cover! I believe it came out around the same time as "Dark Side of the Moon" . I know I wore both of those records out! I hope you never lose interest in this music. Keep the vids coming. Thanks.

If you appreciated that much the Bruford-Wetton KC line up, and if you haven't already, you might want to take a listen, for the sake of giving it a shot, to the band UK. A late 70's quartet, and later trio, formed, among others by Wetton and Bruford, with the very influential addition of Eddie Jobson and Allan Holdsworth. VERY different from the KC sound and, significantly updated with the sounds of electric drum kits and keys of its years, plus, of course, Jobson's amazing electric violin. Personally I absolutely love them but, if not else, you might find the technical skill they put in their albums very interesting. They lasted very little and put out merely two studio albums and a live lp. They essentially fell victims of the shift in musical tastes that was taking place in the late 70s. Still, with just two albums, to me they represent a peak in the whole genre. Also a further testament to Wetton's at least partly unacknowledged amazing musicianship and songwriting quality. Try the first, self titled album. Again, thanks for the great uploads!

When I first heard Larks I thought it was the worst crimson album, then after more listens my mind was shattered into tiny pieces, and reassembled into a mind compatible with the music. Fripp is a god.

Nice to see a younger person appreciating this as I do. You should dare to listen to some jazz as well! One of in my eyes most underrated albums is John McLaughlin's Extrapolation! You might find it a little difficult at the beginning maybe but I am sure you will eventually hold it as high as this one ;-)

Also, DEFINITELY check the semi-acoustic versions Wetton did of Book of Saturdays and The Nightwatch (on his Amata -Live in Poland album) and Easy Money (on Sub Rosa-Live in Milan)!

Well done! The photos alone make me want this box set, as it reveals a short patch in Crimson's history when Jaime Muir was a member. His tenure was brief, but his influence on the band, especially Bill Bruford, was immense. Thanks for bringing the Larks' Tongues box set closer to a lifelong fan.

Wow. One pound! I saw Pink Floyd in 1987 for $27.50 ca. Isn't it like, selling family members now to see a show? I love the three Wetton/Bruford albums. You see the influence on Tool.

Times have definitely changed since 1972. I'm an oldie and I graduated from high school that year. My hair was down past my shoulders and then ended up in the US Navy and there went my hair! Great music that year I must admit. Great looking boxset. I have the album on CD but no boxset. Would be nice to have though.

Looks great. Excellent album, especially Jamie Muir on percussion. Interesting guy, a week after this release he moved to a Buddhist monastery and virtually gave up music. He was a serious improviser, used to play with Derek Bailey. . Thinking of cheap tickets back in the 70’s the first gig I saw was Led Zeppelin and it was free!

Their first four albums are the ones closest to my heart. Their other albums are for the most part too complex and advanced for me. I do enjoy "Thrak" as well. I also have an expanded version of "In the court of". "Poseidon" seem like a sequel with the same feel. Love the jazzy "Lizard". I do have them all except the two last. One pound back then is of course not the same as one pound today as the income and expenses were different. "Larks" feel a bit spooky. Comes creeping and surprises with heavy noises. Amusing. Great songs. Very interesting music.

Definitely hate the first track even after a dozen listens just hate that intro and violin section which in my opinion don't fit the rest of the track. If you play this to normal people, they will think Prog is rubbish. In 1973 this album was not that popular. Red destroys it.
