Priyanka showed how to create a basic classic dashboard using a couple BAQs and then how to convert that dashboard to Kinetic and get it assigned to a menu. The video walks us through doing the BAQs very quickly and then building the classic dashboard. She then deployed the dashboard as an application to generate the Kinetic version of the dashboard and the publish/subscribe and tracker moved across. The gauge did not move across when going to Kinetic. She then showed how to add the dashboard to the Kinetic menu. How to customize the Kinetic Dashboard was demonstrated using Kinetic Application Studio including doing fields for searching and how to highlight cells/columns as needed.
With Kinetic screens, you no longer have to duplicate changes from the “entry” screen onto the “tracker” screen. The customization can be used on both the entry and the tracker menu items. This saves a bunch of customization time.
