This direct was awesome for Smash lovers like myself, but most of the other stuff was just third party titles. Fire Emblem moving to 2019 is also a bit dissapointing although I think that game looks amazing. So, I think it was solid, super well paced up untill the deep dive into SMASH, but lacked some of the future plans for first party titles in 2019. Nintendo keeps the tradition of not caring too much about E3 since they always got the directs in which they can announce stuff coming. Also did I mention Smash is like a dream come true? (Although the release date hurts a bit).

Mecha game looks dope. They definitely were inspired by Knightmare frames and Code Geass' mecha's along with other series.

Been a rough e3 compared to last year, from PlayStation guy, Microsoft won overall but the games on show for Sony were stellar. Bethesda did a good job of getting a non fallout player heavily interested in it.

Yeah, it's interesting. As a huge Fallout fan, I don't care at all for 76. We'll see though. I just don't see myself fighting mutated monsters for very long. Without NPC's what's the point? How could quests work? How can it be an RPG? It's missing Fallout's entire identity. I went into this E3 looking for a shared online game to finally get into. Destiny 2 sounds too overwhelming at this point, Anthem looked barren, Fallout 76 has me frustrated. Division 2 looks pretty cool but with so many other games coming within 8 months, I won't have much time. But man. Spidey, Ghost of Tsushima, TLOU 2, AC Odyssey, KH3, Control, and We Happy Few look crazy good.

Could’ve had more surprises, but as a big Smash fan, I highly enjoyed this Direct

Not much into fire emblem but it looks great. This might be the one for me

I love Smash Bros as much as the next guy, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed in this Nintendo Direct overall. Maybe I'm just biased because they didn't have anything to say about a new Animal Crossing. AC New Leaf was my guilty pleasure on the 3DS and the only game I'm really waiting on for the Switch is a new, shinier, Animal Crossing with slightly bigger towns and more customization for the town as a whole. And more hats lol. But alas, they're giving me my boy Roy back so I suppose I should be happy.

i feel like breaking down every character could have been saved for a post show type thing. but i guess it was good for hardcore smash fans. I'm happy for them.

i was expecting new challengers :( goku, crash, banjo, shovel knight, spectre knight. i think this was the best most well done conference this e3 for sure, but for me playstation had the best games. xbox deserves an award for how much they improved on their previous e3s

The first game just completely ripped Zone of the Enders movement, combat, and animations and added cartoon graphics and metal. lol

Why is everyone so salty 😂 I thought this direct was pretty awesome. Overall, it’s been a great E3, nowadays we don’t get many surprises but it’s still fun to get details, and a few things here and there.

Thing is it was a Direct and not an E3 conference so it wasn't all that.

I thought they put these things in a list against the other developers...

As somebody that doesn't like smash, the only interesting thing was overcooked 2. No wonder nintendo's stock plummeted before E3

Fortnite should run pretty well on Switch. My PC is like 7 years old and was still able to run fortnite decently (granted all the settings were very low).

I didn't know Greg hated Xbox that much. To push Tim to move it ahead of MS, which clearly had the best show.

Cd Projekt red won E3 lol. Also Mario party better be back from the n64 days and also new fire emblem game is looking cool. Lastly, kind of disappointing to see most of the Nintendo direct was smash related :(. Anyways snake coming back is awesome and here is hoping we get to see the Atlus game that is for the switch!!!

If you rate the shows based on improement to their brand, Nintendo had the best show. SONY continued to occupy the top spot, and Microsoft continued their downward trajectory.

And an E3 press conference isn't the place to do it, like it wasn't the place for Ubisoft to show all the new stuff in The Division 2. I'm pretty sure they actually spent all that time on Smash because they didn't have enough big games to pad out their conference.

TheHOOfan1 It wasn't a conference... In case you didn't get the memo, Nintendo do things their own unique way. I was pretty disappointed with this presentation but Nintendo also does several Directs throughout the year so I have faith.

Where's the diversity?

This direct was pretty disappointing. I've never been a huge fan of smash bros and there was almost half an hour dedicated to just telling us VERY minute details about it! Do we really need to know that Olimar's helmet cracks very momentarily when hurt? I was hoping for animal crossing or a tease of metroid or something... At least we got Mario Party!

This E3 was pretty disappointing in terms of surprises. Most of the games we either knew about or assumed would be here through obvious leaks and hints. Don't get me wrong all the games look amazing and I'll love them, but the hype factor wasn't there so much for me from anyone. Even ES6 was a very cool announcement, but like we already knew it was being made and that trailer just showed a generic landscape with not even a subtitle.

The level of detail wasn't necessary, I agree. People who care will seek that info out. Personally I care a lot so the Direct didn't lose much value for me at the end.

It was a piss poor showing...I'm not interested in Smash at all. Did half the direct really need that much focus on it when you have Tree house live str8 after. WHERE WAS MY MARIO DLC!!!!

Nintendo is really behind of Playstation, Xbox One, and PC. I mean watching the games on display for the other things is like watching the future. Watching Nintendo is like watching trailers from 2005. It's lame as fuck. I will enjoy playing Zelda and Mario, but the Switch is officially in the Dark Ages. It's funny that I thought the Xbox One was the system that was truly fucked, as far as games were concerned. It's definitely the Switch.

I do. I just think Nintendo is doing their thing, and everyone else are doing modern gaming. It's just a difference of what I like. And I actually like Nintendo Switch games. I just think that the difference in power and graphics is telling, and they are clearly going to not have the best games going forth, now that Mario and Zelda came out. Just my opinions. I've been gaming for 30 years.
