I love listening to you speak, Ann Marie. You are a wonderful role model.

Listening to this lesson brought me back those years 1986 - 1990 when I was first working in an American company located in Zurich, Switzerland; in which there were multi national workers like Swiss, German, English, Canadian, Turkish, Chinese, Singaporean, Vietnamese, SA....In that place I have very seldom heart the world "please". People were so aggressive, sarcasm, gossip...I wished I would find this channel the other days (The internet was not even existed!)!

I have been following you for a month now and it has greatly impacted my day to day communication in English by giving me more confidence.

From research as far as i remember when you use the negative questions it works like suggestion, which is not only the idea to be polite but help someone to make decision. For e.g. when you say : "don't you think we should do something... "easer is to get answer, "no i don't" This strategy has a power and we need to remember that when we want to achieve something.
