Cher is force of nature that has had hit songs in at least 6 decades, and somehow her voice remains instantly recognizable. Moonstruck would be a fabulous movie to review. ✌️

Amazing thing with Cher is that she became a huge star in the 60's/70's with the Sonny and Cher days...but then she had an amazing resurgence in the 80's where it seemed like every single was just a HUGE hit...and she's been a force ever since. I really want to see you do her song 'Heart of Stone' but only do it if you watch the official video. It's a great song, and an amazingly touching and powerful video that I think you would appreciate.

Love her song Gypsies, Tramps,& Thieves. The movie Mask have (tissues ready) is wonderful. She is also in the 2nd Mamma Mia movie and has an album of ABBA cover songs.

Cher is such a beautiful woman, love her voice ,you can’t mistake it for anyone else’s.

This is my favorite Cher song. I think her voice sounds phenomenal on the recording. The song is dramatic and captivating. She's just one of those ladies that doesn't seem to age. She's been around forever. There are very few artists that can get to the level she's on. Dolly Parton is another lady that's been around as long as Cher, who also has the music and acting credits. But probably still to a lesser degree. She's really in a class by herself.

Cher's vocals are off the chart. She's a living legend. I also love Dead Ringer For Love with Meatloaf (God rest his Covid-denying little heart, he went too soon). They are fantastic together in that song.

Not sure if it's in the comments but that's Rob Camiletti, her real life boyfriend at the time, in the video. He was labeled "Bagel Boy" because supposedly he was working in a bagel shop or deli when they met. This was some HIGH-80s drama lol, but Cher very publicly with a younger man was a definitely trailblazer, yet again! Also, you guys need to check out her "Take Me Home," one of the classics of the disco era!

The Way Of Love really shows off Cher’s voice!

In the mid 70's, when Cher had her own TV show, it had so very many great music performances. The best example is Tina Turner, who had just left Ike, was introduced at the 20 minute mark and for the next 40 minutes these two women just put on a great show. Even as the closing credits rolled, they sang on.

You have to watch the movie "Moonstruck". Cher and Olympia Dukakis (Steel Magnolias) got academy awards for their performance.

Cher is also a huge fashion queen. She had one of the best designers, Bob Mackie, to work on all her tv shows from The Sonny and Cher show to her own show, The Cher Show. He said she had the perfect body to design anything he wanted to make for her! Her costumes and clothes on those shows were legendary! She was the first woman on television to show her belly button! It was a big deal at the time! Some people were shocked at first! She has gorgeous long dark hair, but also wears a lot of wigs, too. She is part Native American and she has those high cheekbones which flatters her face and allows her to have an exotic look. She and Sonny divorced, but I don’t think they ever stopped loving each other. Years after the divorce, Dave Letterman had both of them on his show and they sang a duet together…brought tears to everyone’s eyes (see KZread). When Sonny suddenly died, he was remarried, but she was asked to speak at his funeral (see KZread) and she totally broke down and just lost it! Heartbreaking!

This song was the beginning of her umpteenth comeback as pop star in 1987. The single became her first Top Ten in 8 years since "Take Me Home" danced into our lives. This was a great turn of events for the Goddess of Pop considering she started recording songs with more of a rock edge. It's also a cover of the Laura Branigan single which didn't fare well on the charts. I love Cher!

I last saw Cher live on her "Believe" Tour. That is fantastic, like a Broadway production! The light show and acrobats were amazing. It's great to see her still active. Sadly like all of us, she is getting older and we must appreciate her. We are losing great musicians to retirement and sadly death.

I love this song and Cher It was a wonderful time with Cher and Tina Turner putting out some wonderful rocking out soulful songs!

It wouldn't be an 80's music video without the drama and big hair lol but cher herself is ageless and timeless,Cher is amazing.

When I as a kid, Cher was half of Sonny & Cher, from TV. Cute, funny, incredible singer. And then when I was in my 20's, there was Silkwood, and OMG Mask, which I saw in the theater. So So to me, she was suddenly this great actress. Moonstruck sealed it. She's just a legend. I really wanna STRONGLY suggest you guys react to Mask on your movie channel. As teachers, as humans, it will blow you away. I'm not kidding. Find the director's cut. Others will back me up.

Yes, I love Cher, especially her 80's work. This really marked her resurgence in music. She had been working with some Oscar worthy roles in movies, but this 1987 single, and the whole album, was super powerful. I also love "We All Sleep Alone" from the same album.

As I grew into a confused teen Cher's promotion of the LGB rights movement and community inspired me to step up and help out...finally finding myself. Saw her show live in Vegas in the mid-90’s…..She is an ENTERTAINER. The costumes, the movement, that BODY, and yeah, her voice has a unique timbre which I’ve never heard from any other female vocalist. One the best of the 20th century for live shows.

I prefer the Sonny & Cher years myself. Sonny was such a brilliant writer, arranger, and producer, which has often gone unnoticed over the years.

One of my favourite female artists. Been listening to her for a looooong time.:) Yes. Dark Lady.

Cher is also a PHENOMENAL actress. She killed it in ' Moonstruck " and " Witness " ( with Dennis Quaid )

You did this perfectly. Cher turned 77 on May 20, 2022. This was her comback hit after taking off time to work on her movie career!

She's got some awesome music! For movies, there's three she's been in I really like: Witches of Eastwick, Silkwood, and Mask. Have to check them out as well for movie nights!

The song was written by by Michael Bolton. The guy in the vider( Rob “Bagel Boy” Camilletti) was in a relationship with Cher. He was 22 at the time, Cher was 40. Camilletti was an up & coming actor, but his day job was working at a bagel shop. They remain great friends. He's now a pilot flying celebrities in private jets.

Y'all should really watch some Cher movies. "The Witches of Eastwick" and "Mermaids" are two of my favorites that I've seen so far. But you really can't go wrong with any Cher movie, because she chooses her projects very carefully.

Here's one for you. Cher and Tina Turner singing "Shame, Shame, Shame" (Video from The Cher Show) Cher singing "Fernando" (an Abba song....video from the movie Mama Mia, Here We Go Again)he Cher won an Oscar for her acting in the movie, "Moonstruck". You might want to put that on your movie list.

I think his name is Rob Camaletti, but the press called him Rob the Bagel Boy, because he sold bagels.

CHER and ROD STEWART sang a really fun duet in 2003. They sang "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered" from the 1940 musical "Pal Joey." Frank Sinatra later starred in the 1952 movie.

The guy in the video is Rob Camelletti, her much younger boyfriend at the time. This song was written by Michael Bolton for Laura Branigan but Cher had a much bigger hit with it. Several people beat me to the punch with my two suggestions that you listen to the song duet with Peter Cetera and Cher as well as you watch some of her movies. I would suggest THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK and MOONSTRUCK. She is fantastic in movies.

He appears in several of her vids and is by her side at the AcademyAwards show when she one her Oscar for "Moonstruck" (You guys have got to do that film). She met Rob when he was working at a bagel shop she had been frequenting. They certainly made a great looking couple. Would also love for you to do her music vid "Save up all Your Tears"

These songs are later, (80's) and to me, involved a LOT of screaming. If you want to hear a most BEAUTIFUL song, Cher sang an early 60's song in early1970's just as the Sonny & Cher show was starting to take off, titled, "The Way of Love." Her song went to #7 that year. Cher sang it on the show wearing a gorgeous Bob Mackie pink gown, her hair combed straight back in a tight chignon bun with a giant, sparkling matching hot pink orchid on the side of her hair--perfect for 'torch song.' You can hear her soaring vocal range at the end of the song. Cher SANG the song, didn't SCREAM it. (Before her 80's trampy, motorcycle mama, berserk hair do wigs.) The video is on YT, check it out Amber. Would love for you to see & hear a very different, glam gorgeous Cher!

If I Could Turn Back Time is another great Cher song from around the same time.

Agreed! My favorite "genre" or era of Cher is her mid- to late-eighties. But every era, every genre covered has really great music, really great songs. But her voice makes it even more special. Not JUST that, but her voice also delivers the song with attitude. And Cher is certainly known for her attitude.

She's great in concert too. Saw her with Sonny in 1976 and again in 2019. ❤
