Kieran Kane’s seminal work in The O'Kanes and Kane Welch Kaplin, as well as co-founding the independent label Dead Reckoning Records, laid the foundation for the contemporary world of Americana music. A successful solo artist, collaborator, and songwriter (with songs recorded by Alan Jackson, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, and many more), Kieran is a musician's musician: his playing is always understated, always groove-oriented, and always serving the song.
If Rayna Gellert seems a preternaturally gifted songwriter, it’s because she’s seen farther into the old songs than most. Growing up in a musical family, she turned to Appalachian old-time music at a young age, becoming a prodigious fiddler and leading a new revival of American stringband music through her work with the acclaimed roots band Uncle Earl. An in-demand collaborator, she has toured and recorded with artists such as Scott Miller, Abigail Washburn, Toubab Krewe, and Robyn Hitchcock.
Caffè Lena offers extraordinary music in an intimate venue steeped in history. It has been in continuous operation longer than any other folk club in the USA. First opened in 1960 in Saratoga Springs NY, the Caffè's early years were entwined with the social movements of that era. Emerging artists such as Bob Dylan, The Freedom Singers, Arlo Guthrie, Emmylou Harris and Don McLean took their turn on the stage, alongside esteemed veterans such as Clarence Ashley, Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James and Pete Seeger. The venue has been called “An American Treasure” by the Library of Congress, and has received recognition from the GRAMMY Foundation for its contribution to American music.

I have loved your music as I discovered your song " I can't wait", soon after my partner if 30 years died suddenly of metastatic cancer, and it got me through my grief.I picked up my guitar and learned to play it and sing along, and it's been 2 years now and I still play it all the time. It brings me such comfort. Thank you! I also enjoy alot of your music. I sat and played along with your show tonight. It was great.

Just saw these guys here in Asheville, NC and besides their music, i too was amazed by that bowing wrist & hand...so much so that i wrote a poem about it.
Kieran is one amazing guitarist!

Wonderful concert I stumbled upon. Am struggling to figure out titles on some of the song and think I have them all except for the one starting at 1:06. Anyone have an idea what the title might be? These two are awesome together and great harmonies!
