Kia are producing really good solid reliable EV’s. Look forward to the EV2.
Thanks Nobby. Great review. I'm on my second Niro EV and love it. The EV3's range is the only thing that would temp me to buy one. Looking forward to getting your driving review of the car. My local dealer says that it will be October before they get one.
So dynamic and sleek.
Stunning car! 🤩
Lovely review Mark. I like the design.
Great video, well done Nobby. It's the 1st EV that I would go for.
Cant understand why more manufacturers dont hide rear wiper under the spoiler like that makes rear look cleaner

@@bigdhav same way you change front ones where wiper is below bonnet edge, flick wiper stalk while engine is off
current sportage phev owner, would consider this once we see a drive test video, but 1st looks it looks great, perhaps in a better colour
I have a Nero and it would tempt me!

So do I. Not sure it’s much of a technical advance besides the huge battery option (which I don’t need). So I’ll probably sit tight.

@@Orange_Manbaby the main difference between the Niro and EV3 is that the EV3 is BEV-only so the packaging is better
Like the auto-aero vents. Wish my id4 had a bit more smarts, though it’s as dynamic as one big flap
Looks like a great practical car with massive range Not sure why there are so many negative comments If you think EVs suck go watch my ICe reviews Thanks for the review !! Prices of EVs will come down, range will go up. Teslas are way cheaper and way more available than they were only a year ago
Like it. Big battery should allow you to get from Dublin to Galway and back without having to charge along the way.

They had a graphic at the launch that said it would do Frankfurt to Paris. Whether that’s true or not….

I traded my 4 yr old ipace for a ICE BMW 240i. A much more reliable car IMO. BUT I COULD BE TEMPTED BY A LONG RANGE EV3. Onthe face, Kia are now doing the biz.
Reminds me of the Volvo and that is a seriously low drag coefficient. Great review thankyou 🍀🍀🍀
I love everything about this car except for the center console
e-Niro leaser due to change in Dec. New Nero EV doesn't do it for me (less efficient, poor charge speed). ID3 was leading but I would love to have this instead. Charging speed is perhaps slower than ideal, but the efficiency and space are class leading!
I like it
How do you replace the rear wiper blade?
@NobbyOnCars

The same way as any modern wiper - service mode
Cheers mate
Like the ev9 an e-niro had a baby
What about the QUALITY of the interior door panels, dash, etc.--hard plastic vs soft touch material?
@gao57009

What are you talking about? I simply asked for the reviewer to comment on the quality of the interior materials. I was not saying that the quality was poor since I have not seen it in person.
Will this see the end of the Nero EV

Who knows but it would be hard not to choose this!
Hi from the States. I don't understand what segment this car is after. The dimensions are almost identical to a Niro EV: same width, same height and 5 inches shorter. So actually a SMALLER Niro? Is there a demand for that? This car will not satisfy anyone looking for an electrified version of the popular Sportage because it's noticeably smaller and lower to the ground so you don't get that higher up SUV ride height and visibility that we like. Why don't they just electrify the Sportage and Tucson! The EV9 is huge, these manufacturers are only making ultra compact SUVs or behemoths. I'm really bummed that the EV5 won't be coming to the U.S.

It’s basically a replacement for the Niro EV, as well as the Soul.
Nice colour whatever about the price

Looks cool!! Charging port on the RHS is a fail for those of us who drive on the left.

It'll be fine for Tesla supercharger sites ... simply drive forward into the bay (rather than reverse) and the port will be at the correct location 🙂
interesting car Nobby
As informative as you can get without actually driving the car.
it's have rear wipper..hidden
The first car that can do a cross country return trip without recharging will dominate this market. IMO
That styling, while not my cup of tea at all, suits a smaller car better than the try hard, look at me, new money chav mobile that is the ev9.
Not a bad looking car but still don’t know why Kia’s don’t have a rear wiper. This might not be a deal breaker for some people but when you go from having a car with one to one without, it is something you could miss. Decided to switch to an EV just over a year ago and had narrowed my choices down to the Kia EV6 or the Skoda Enyaq. Went with the Skoda because it has a rear wiper and the EV6 doesn’t.

This one does have a rear wiper, it's tucked up at the top of the rear window
@arklowdashcam5155
28 күн бұрын
@@marcellakilgarriff Doesn’t make sense to have an upside down rear wiper. If your rear window is dirty, the operation of the wiper will leave both sides of the window dirty at the bottom which could create visibility issues.

Mg4 ev is better, value for money-wise.
Nope, still too expensive. Private buyers won't pay £40k for an EV and then suffer massive depreciation as well! Until the price drops it'll remain company car drivers and rich virtue signallers.
@Orange_Manbaby

£33k starting price. A low spec lower power Niro petrol is £29k. And give the ‘virtue signalling’ nonsense a rest. We’re not all daily mail idiots.

I'm sorry but I'm entitled to my own view and won't be bullied into considering a basic trim car with terrible range just to please you. When the manufacturers make a car that's comparable to a petrol model and the depreciation is also comparable, and the charging infrastructure is better, then I'll think about it, maybe.
@stephenclay6852

@@chrisbaker4849hi the standard modal as with all Kia’s won’t be basic. As for the range based on my experience with Kia’s you should see 210 220 miles in the real world with the smallest battery and well in excess of 300 miles with the bigger battery but more if you drive it economically. My advice is put aside your prejudice and take one on a good test drive.

I agreee that likely price at launch will be too high however check out lease prices after 6 months or so i think you'll find like many EVs it will be a much better bet. Thats my plan. Also in 2 or 3 years time it will be a great s/h buy from those company car schemes you mention.
You can only review what cars they throw at you Mark but jeez…….another generic SUV clone with unnecessary and dangerous gizmos inside on the dash. Infotainment screens have been proven to be as dangerous as using a mobile phone when driving and yet one is legal while the other is not? And the price is going to be north of forty grand. How much cheaper could they make it if they forgot about widescreen displays with “games” and reverted to good old fashioned dials for speed and safer physical controls for HVAC that you could operate using muscle memory? And as we all now know, the claimed range is a fantasy and the depreciation will be excruciating.
