Vigor refresh is extremely rare and way more powerful than most people think. There's a reason why Grumbling Guard got nerfed way back.

If I remember correctly its a 20% stat debuff including armor. So yeah, it can easily mean a lower tier unit cost effectively trading with an expensive main piece.

I believe the Icon of Endless War only affects the cultist/shrine himself. It says "Affects allies in range MAX 1"

​@Debilinside various points for various stats. For armor it's rocking 30% reduction, for MD it's 15%, iirc. But overall exhaustion is brutal, not gonna lie

Why would it be an aoe effect if it only affected the shrine? It probably effects the shrine +1 other unit in range@@Luttzvaq666

I'd honestly forgotten all about the Shrine of Khorne until this video. Definitely felt like it contributed to the battle, those poor lizards didn't stand a chance before all those blood-crazed brutes.

That was cathartic. After seeing Korn struggling so much, it is nice to see them slap in melee. It really seems like the shrine put in some work. Those sustained buffs throughout the game were no joke in the grind.

Agreed. Been seeing too many games where Khorne just gets stomped, even in melee. So this was a nice change of pace.

Turin playing Khorne: I chose the halberds as a frontline in this matchup because of the many different monsters that Valkia couldn't take out on her own. Me playing Khorne: Hehe funny dog go woof

In this particular battle, maybe even look into the items Valkia has. She has a +4 Melee Attack / +5% Damage aura, which could be good when stacked with the Altar. She also has a charges-with-kills aura that gives -20% Damage aura, which is just as good as giving +20% Ward Save! Makes her crazy expensive, but in a filthy blob it could be nice.

i love a good khorne battle definitely the most satisfying faction to play and win with in my opinion

"Blood for the blood God, skulls for the skull throne!" This game is extremely cinematic and it shows beautifuly on this particular match. Cool camera work showing us the ins and outs and taking nice angles. And this is exactly how a Khorne army should feel! Unshackled rage and fury just pouring over your foe. GG, great match! 🙂

The problem with balancing khorne is that their units are all supposed to be better to compensate for the lack of magic. But they cant be too good or they become super powerful in warriors of chaos/undivided armies.

I've never had a Khorne match where the lizard player didn't bring the dreadsaurian.

The non cultist warshrine gives more leadership as it comes with encourage. Encourage is stronger on non hero and lord units, and khorne needs high leadership desperatly to keep the frenzy up at all times! Don't sleep on it

I think the Icon of Endless War only affects the unit that carries the banner. It does not state to have Range, only duration, applying it only to the unit with the banner

I'm absolutely obsessed with Khorne! Love any content from this faction. I wish more people would do videos on the Warshrine. I think the buffs are so good, they are so underrated.

Should start with a petition with CA. Another mechanic that could be cool would be a map wide melee attack / weapon strength buff each time the enemy army casts a spell to symbolize the army raging due to cowardly magic. Might be busted, but something like that would differentiate them substantially from other factions.

For the lizard player I wonder here if helm of discord/curse of midnight type effects are key, focus on one unit and overwhelm. Would also love to see either heavy artillery plinking away with a stegadon and/or something nasty like a carnosaur who can dive in and eliminate threats such as the war shrine.

@@ReachStudioProSuch a common misconception that Khorne is 100% anti magic, but it’s nonsense if you think about it. Khorne is a god who exists in the 100% magical realm of Chaos. You don’t think it’s magic when Khorne turns a mortal into a Demon Prince? How about when a unit of Bloodletters materializes out of thin air? Khorne isn’t magically blessing Minotaurs with regeneration in combat, or his warriors with their inhuman strength? Khorne is against using magic to throw spells at the enemy from far away instead of facing them in melee. The roster is already full of buffs and debuffs that support melee performance, what do you think the Warshrine is?

agree, it would be cool to have a khorne shaman hero character. but I find it very difficult to do that.

One of the big problems with the Warshrines is that they don't seem to give the factions anything they really need than what they already have. Nurgle has plenty of healing, Khorne has plenty of melee and Tzeentch has plenty of magic, making the shrines seem redundant. I guess the Slaanesh one offers something new but it also seems to be to diametrically against the Slaanesh tactic of heavy flanking. I guess in a super armored mortal army it's good to grind down units but I feel like there are more efficent ways to play as Slaanesh.

A shrine to give Khorne some speed (like a "battle eagerness" or something. WOuld help them to actually get the engages they need to get while still making them distinct from slaanesh (slaanesh can be everywhere, this shrine would create something of a mobile wrecking-ball deathstar). A melee-centric faction sounds fun if they could just get tools.

Temple guard could have been good here I’ve had a lot of success with their AP

Looking to get into multiplayer again. Haven't played Total War multiplayer seriously since Shogun 2. Tried to play it at the game launch and got my cheeks clapped by an older player using that penumbral pendulum spell. Any tips, or specific videos, for a noob trying to get back into the swing of things? Looking to play Slaanesh and Vampires at first if that helps.

Why has Khorne's win rate declined so much? Was it the nerf to Flesh Hounds, or has the faction become too predictable with too many of their units overlapping the same role?

Flesh hound nerf put them in the garbage can and a new strat to make them shine is not forthcoming. It's rough, because ideally you'd want a melee bruiser faction like this to be able to shine. Their struggle right now reminds me of the beastmen's "sad moo" era.

Their strongest units that were carrying them were nerfed and their infantry are overcosted. That plus their predictability make for poor performance at higher levels of play.

Interesting build i sea the leadership buff is awesome but the other buff it is such a bad buff because first it is not big and you as the player must work hard but +18 leadership that is nice even for khorne deamons!!!

Are elite halberds on average too good vs normal infantry? Obviously they still lose heavily against elite twohanded infantry as they should - but what about their performance against cheap AP infantry, like red crested skinks or nasty skulkers. Also why does halberd infantry beat anti-infantry AP cavalry so outright? They are supposed to counter each other.
