:P but to be fair they do more dmg than hellcannons, and we all know how uselessly easy it can be to shutdown a hellcannon. on top of that its nurgle, they shouldn't have any shooting at all; and having one of the heaviest mortors on top of a topnotch tank and pretty terror fighter; is a bit much right ;) just saying; 1 shot half a ranged units hp while Still outranging them and being able to easily crush them in melee ;) do love these big guys though, they are fun to watch :D

@@Malignard Cathay gets a generic melee lord though, The Celestial General or whatever. Not to defend CA or anything, but what did you really expect tzaangors to be other than beastmen gors with a little bit of Tzeench aestethic? Also, they do have shields, which the beastmen kida lack at the moment, at least early game, so it's a somewhat useful unit for the beastmen roster. And again, not to defend CA or anything, but they promised 11 new units, not 12, but I still only count 10 without lords, heroes or RoR, so I guess one of the heroes is a unit now I guess.

The Nurgle Soul grinder's blast is a lot like the Ancient Salamander, both are amazing at blasting stationary foot archers.

They also look extremely cool. One must strive for style.

So, one thing I have found to address grand cathay melee problem. metal alchemist mage with Enchanted Metallurgy + Iron dragon with Master of Alchemy You stack those on good melee unit (preferably dragon, terrakota, etc.) for +60% weapon damage with no magic cost. can add other spells like Plague of Rust or take astromancer with robe and Harmonic Convergence to land those buffed hits.

Big way to help Cathay and the main dragon mommy/daddy is just let them cast All spells in dragon form..i don't really understand reason they can't. Not sure cost compared to a blood dragon on a dragon or Manfred on a dragon. All the big SEMs caster lords can cast spells on a mount. Big reason why you see the cheaper Cathay caster lord on a flying mount, they can cast whatever they want. If Miao could cast earthblood and regrowth as a dragon or Irondragon could use final tran as a dragon you would see them alot more

It really makes no fucking sense that specifically THEY can't when all the other monster LL in the game can cast spells while being big fat monsters. There was a time last year when CA made it so they could cast spells while in Dragon form and guess what?! It was never broken! No one complained! And then they changed it back. Even if I can use all spells in dragon form, I often have them stay in human form for many other reasons, so the excuse of them not being able to cast while in dragon form is honestly bullshit and is not a reason for preventing them from having their spells.

If you are facing a ton of dakka or spears, you would swap to human form for sure anyway

I want to use them more often but there is no support for them. They are so easily taken out and the only units able to defend them are massively expensive Longma Riders which is beaten easily by bats and other cheap flying units. Then you have your ranged units but they are not a very good alternative for protecting your lanterns and Sky Junks. The Crowmen in the upcoming DLC should be the perfect unit for defending them but that fucking DLC pricing though. I refuse to pay 25$. If I can't find a key seller that sells it close to 15$, I'm just gonna fucking put down TW:W3 for the rest of the year and buy Armored Core or Starfield instead.

Hey @Turin how about a OvN lost Factions tournament, it'd be cool seeing the fimir and stuff, plus people might actually be inclined to use different units then usual essentially for the theming?

I really like Cathay. Kislev needs some big rework to make me enjoy them. They're like the Empire, but worse. Cathay, on the other hand, is the Empire, but better. Plus I like the LLs more, only Gelt is cool. Karl Franz can suck an egg.
