Ойын-сауық

After reports of an alleged divorce between popular Muslim content creators Salama and Khalid, a lot of speculation and commentary has been made. BUT this is NOT what this video is about! So much amazing points , I was scared when I first clicked as the content around the simple speculation of these two Muslim couple has been so telling of how we really are affected by social media couples.

Exactly 💯.... I really don't understand people these days.... wallah I hate social media. Why be on there unless you got a business you're trying to promote? There are some things that should be left for private. Real life traumatic problems like divorce should be left to for experts to help people -- Not commentators or content creators. I even regret clicking on this video. Experts with years of higher education and consultation should give khutbahs about this... not content creators.

I felt this divorce was coming. I stopped watching their videos months ago due to feeling that their “jokes” to one another are often disrespectful to one another. I made a comment on one of their videos addressed to khalid saying “please don’t disrespect your wife for the sake of making a joke or trying to entertain us”. I could see the jokes were going wayyy too far and sorry to say I’m not subscribed to them anymore.

There has been absolutely no talk that they have divorced. This is speculation only from a podcast that Salaama did talking about her childhood trauma. Salaama opened her own beauty business and became too busy to continue with the skits. Khalid went on to to vlogs. Both are still putting up videos of each other and their kids on their channels from time to time

😊 yes in that the details and privacy of their divorce aren’t our business. It’s only our business insofar as their marriage shaped the values of our community and, by extension, so does their divorce. Instead of prying into their private lives, we should be having discussions on how our deen and our view of marriage is impacted when such news is shared (and more importantly, how to protect it and gain Allahs blessings through it).

Marriage is the most fragile relationship as it's not linked by blood. If anyone is blessed in a good marital relationship then protect it. Don't advertise it to make money. Envy, Jelousy and Evil Eye is real. Why invite it through over exposure of the relationship? If anyone has helpful individual experiances or useful practical skills for example in art or finances then use that to create social media content. Atleast you're parting with beneficial knowledge that could help others to better themselves. Parting with current relationship experiences and knowledge is always risky. Never know when someone might hate the relationship advise or example. If someone hates a person's financial advise then fine, just ignore, nothing personal. However, marital relationships are personal so better to keep it private and away from the limelight. I think.

As Influencers/Content-Creators, their marriage was/is also a "business" relationship. Them being married and showing their "lifes" is what's curating their livelihood. The interesting and scary thing is (as you mentioned) that many fans of influencer-couples/families do not realize that those people and their life's are not "real". They are nothing more than a company creating entertainment for a specific audience. It's cold saying that, but them (allegedly) divorcing is to me the same as a TV show being canceled. Those two will be fine (financiall). And their fans will soon find a new couple to follow and obsess over.

I truly believe that in many Muslim relationships (or Muslim communities in general) greed is becoming more and more common. People claim to be religious, taking Ramadan very seriously but then become more greedy. In my opinion Allah wants us to be humble and not being proud of whatever, but people these days are proud of being successful, proud of their looks, proud of what they accomplished. Instead of being humble they are reckless, greedy and too proud of material things. Let’s slow down. Let us turn back to what really matters: being kind, not being selfish. Being empathetic, not rude. Being loving, not trying to be loved by strangers. Being faithful (to our loved ones, family and God), not cheating ourselves and others while being so egoistic. Learning again how much we were given by God and not destroying his gives (we are killing our environment, Mother Earth was given us by Allah and he trusted us to treat his gift kindly). Even in the Muslim community people become more and more selfish while claiming we are better than the rest. We are not. We are doing the same mistakes as everyone else. I pray that one day we will understand. And I pray that it won’t be too late 😔.

Whoa. What you just did in this comment is a major sin. 1) you should never be happy for someone’s misfortune, even if you don’t like their decision, lest Allah turns and tests you with the same thing. 2) it is never halal to insult a Muslim publicly in the way you just did, that is backbiting. 3) And you also slandered by making a claim without proof which is one of the major sins. How do you call anyone’s marriage fake? Even if you don’t like their posting. I’m very disappointed in such a comment, if you express concern about the religion, then remember our prophet said “I fear for you this” and he grabbed his tongue. Our words, we sin with them without even realizing especially when we are angry. Do not be proud, Allah shields our mistakes from others, but others’ hardships are for us to learn from, not rejoice in. AstughfirAllah.

THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS!! When you let your wife constantly post on social media, it starts to inflate her ego and she also gets attention from other men. When the husband confronts her regarding this, she'll start saying things like: "you're being abusive, oppressive, traumatizing...", and then leads to divorce. This is why Islam says dont do "tabarrug" for women (EVEN IF you're dressed "modestly"), but modern feminism is getting in the way and leading to divorce. WOMEN STOP POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA
