    @@scottbyrd3499 Nope one of my high school friends Christiaan Bezuidenhout who plays on the PGA tour now invited me twice to the SA open which is an European Tour event. There he gave me a clubhouse pass every time so I got to meet a lot of players even Rory! and honestly caddies are way more important, they motivate you and keep your mind of the game between shots and on the game before the shot because when you start to overthink that's when you suck. They are more like your team mate than some person carrying your bags. They also want you to win because if you win 10 million dollars they win 1 million of that.

    What do you want, a guy who sits there and agrees with you when you're making a risky call or one who speaks his mind? I guess it depends on how confident you are and how good your relationship with the caddie in question.

    I have caddied a few times in pro tournaments, I think the caddie player relationship is different for every team. Some pros just want numbers and clean clubs, some want 2nd opinions on putt lines, some want the caddie to pick the club the line and everything else but swing the club. I have been in that situation and it's my opinion when the pro decides on the club, the caddie even if he doesn't agree has to give the pro some confidence and say yes great club just make a great swing. At the end of the day, every caddie is out there to make the pros job easier and take crap from the pro when things don't go right, if you have thin skin, caddying is not the job for you.

  • @Whoopdido777

    @Whoopdido777

    @T mo It is pretty ridiculous. If PGA tournaments were held at courses where most amateurs play on a daily basis (munis basically) and they didn’t have the crowds and grandstands to stop their errant shots, their scores would skyrocket. As good as pros are, they still hit some God awful shots every now and then that, for us, would be in the shit and lost balls, but for them their ball either hits somebody and ricochets back or the crowd actually helps to find the ball. Plus, they typically play on courses that are fairly wide open so you can hit bad shots and maybe be in the trees, but you’re not gonna lose your ball vs courses we play where it might as well be the Cambodian jungle 2O yards left or right of the fairway.

Every blade of grass was the same length. But even just last year I distinctly remember Tiger hitting a big block on 11 and him yelling “GO WAY RIGHT!” I know why...there’s a cluster of trees over there and he wanted his ball to get to the right of those. It did and he ended up with a perfect angle to the green. He hit such a bad drive that it turned out good for him.

    William First, Asians are people, oriental describes objects. Second Kevin Na is American, born,lived raised here in the UnitedStates. Third, he and his caddie are still together. He rewarded his caddie with a detailed classic sports car for there long-time relationship. My friend you are a 0 for 3 ignorant bigot.

    I don't think golfers should have caddies! They should have someone carry the clubs only!!! Does the ball girl/boy give advice to a tennis player? No! Give them 45 sec to play the shot from the time they get to the ball. Read your own greens! Again 15secs.to read 15 sec once the ball is addressed! No lift clean and place!! Their worse condition is better than what most play on everyday even at good courses!

    Guess you don't play then? It takes skill and athletic ability to bomb a drive 300+ yards and then hit a 50 yard bunker shot to within 2 feet.

    You clearly don’t watch golf regularly, all the top players are extremely athletic and are very talented. Take Rory, DJ, Rickie. But, there definitely are some players that aren’t athletic but just have natural talent.

    Dawei Zhao it’s true that it’s more of a mental game but being fit, bulk, and flexible are also and advantage to Golf. I don’t see any players that aren’t fit in the top 10. Sure Golf was just a game before but after Tiger came, he changed the game into a sport.
