I just celebrated 23 years of marriage, ( May 6), with a Czech man that just happens to be WHITE, like myScot-Irish great grandfather who was Blonde and had eyes that were Robin's Egg Blue. He married my GGrandmother who was BLACK as a moonless night, with unstraightened kinky hair that was almost to her ankles. . Men are men and women are women. I have a nephew that is Black/Bosnian/Croatian.The color of their skin REALLY doesn't matter, God made each and every one of us.

I'm not saying it has never or will never happen, but it's extremely unlikely. Part of the "race loyalty" includes children, who will inherit the vast fortune such men hold. They prefer wealth to STAY IN THE WHITE COMMUNITY. When it comes to marriage and children, SKIN COLOR and CULTURAL background matter, if GREAT FINANCIAL RESOURCES are involved! You did not do that concerning the others, only concerning your great-grandmother. If you just had to say something, you could have just said she was dark-skinned. This is common, though among black people. Descriptions such as "black as night," "black as a shoe," "black as asphalt," etc. are all horrific terms that some people feel the need to use when describing dark skin. If skin color really doesn't matter to you, you would not have had to make sure to give such a vivid, rude description of your great-grandmother's skin tone. Colorism is strong. People don't even know when they have insulted their own relatives.

You forgot “FANDANGO” and “REVENGE” and “NO WAY OUT”.. these were all magnificent.

This relationship between him and Jewel could go a long way. Jewel dosen't seem to be the demanding type, partly because she is consumed in living every second of life in her own capibilities which she depends on no other but herself. The two of them have a lot in common. Kevin comes with baggage with others that require to be at his forefront. Jewel seems like the sort of person that will be able share Kevins attention. She will find a way if the relationship is meaningful enough to her. I think everything going on will have its place and fit in comfortably, because in the end they both are successful in their accomplishments and content.

I think they make a good fit too, she's down to earth and I dont think she likes the hollywood scene at all.

I'm drawn to Kevin Costner's laid back acting style & creative story telling. Loved Dances with Wolves, Field of Dreams (was raised in IA & then CO) & Yellowstone, of course!. Sorry about his personal life struggles.
