Kettle Dyeing - Part 1: the pour over technique vs precise application featuring Knomad Yarn
you will need:
a rainbow selection of dye, I used Pro Chem Hot Pink, Dharma fluorescent safety orange, fluorescent yellow, spearmint breeze, bright aqua, purple pop.
citric acid or white vinegar
60 ml luer lock syringe (bought in bulk off amazon)
jewelers scale
1000 ml measuring cups
steamer basket or oven
Your favorite knomad yarn. I used their fingering weight superwash/nylon

Love, love, love your tutorials!
Just found this looking for different yarn dying techniques. This is like the most informative video on this. So thank you very much! Especially for working up all those swatches.
Excellent comparison video! Thank you!
Nicole, outstanding!. I wish I’d had access to this in depth, well explained information when I started 9 years ago
This is extremely informative. I love the side-by-side comparisons.
Thank you for your video. It’s very useful to see the swatches, thanks for taking the time to work those up. 👍
wow love this video thanks for sharing all this information, I want to try dying and this was just a great video to show how each style works
Thanks for this Nicole 💕
Fabulous video, so informative. (And don't worry about saying ml or cc, they are both one cubic centimetre of liquid and work fine either way--the only difference is that ml is usually used for liquids and cc for solids, but it's not a significant thing!)
Wow this is so informative! Thanks.
Wow!
Could you please tell me what kind of rings you use around your yard and scans?

Plastic shower curtain rings from amazon
great video. I am confused about math. How 2g in 1000ml gives you 2%. I think it's 0.2%. Or have I missed something?

I thought the same thing
1ml = 1cc
Where did you buy the pitchers? Lost everything in last years in house fire.

Amazon is where I get most of my tools
Please use a respirator or at least an N95 mask. Dry / powdered dye is Hell on your lungs. Otherwise, I love your results. ❤
