I got misty-eyed immediately hearing that, followed by seeing Geoff break down a little.

Kerry is kind of an unsung hero of the company. He's a great example of what the company was like in their golden years. He got hired as a kid really and worked up to being able to work with Monty on what I still think is probably their greatest production ever. I'm so glad he gives respect to Monty whenever given the chance, but I also want him to know that he's loved too. He picked up the torch after Monty left this world unexpectedly and I'm so glad he helped immensely with giving us some of the best seasons of RWBY. Thank you Kerry for keeping Monty's dream going. I think you did the best that anyone could have done with RWBY. And if it continues you need to be a part of it along with the rest of the team. Thank you RT for hiring these people and giving us what you created over the years. You will always be remembered.

Always loved hearing Kerry and Miles' stories on the old RT pod episodes. The one where they took dates to the water park and abandoned them is my favorite.

Back when the podcast was good

I had the pleasure of meeting Kerry during RTX 2016. That was a big highlight of my experience at the convention and my year as a whole. I told him that it was because of RWBY that I decided to even go into animation in the first place. 2016 was my Junior year and this show made me hard pivot from settling with a normal “successful” career into pursuing my actual dream job. So hearing him say that experiences like mine are what brought him the greatest honor really got to me. Thank you for encouraging and inspiring me Kerry. I’m gonna stay the course, til the end.

It's sad that most people probably wont be on the lookout for this video, because I feel like Kerry pretty much encapsulated all of the hurt but also all of the lessons that can be learned from Rooster Teeth's life and its closing. Everything isn't forever. You should appreciate what you have. Don't be afraid to make some weird shit. Don't be afraid to meet your heroes. On a completely personal note, with Akira Toriyama passing and Rooster Teeth closing, 2 of the titans of my childhood have fallen within a week of each other. It's a little surreal lol

It's done it's over with and I wish the people who worked there more happier days in the future, and of course the team in this last get together isn't gonna address the shit that got them here, the whole point of this last group meet up is remembering the good ol days and that's what's important at that moment. Everything else will probably come later, who knows honestly, just cut em some slack for now.

Especially the ones that said "if you don't like our content, f*ck off" in the final years, as well as unnecessarily going woke and shutting down anyone that doesn't agree with them. Also, "mourning"? No one died. I don't know about you, but I don't like being told to "f*ck off" by people I used to come home from high school and watch everyday.

I truly hope they know how much we love and appreciate them. Such a huge part of so many of our lives.

It's really sad for them to leave. However, on the bright side, RWBY is gonna continue, even though they are gonna be owned by another company and that we'll have to wait for months or a year for a confession, but overall it sure was a fun ride. R.I.P Rooster Teeth. Plus, I know they're in talks, but this is the last time I'm going to say it #GREENLIGHTVOLUME10

@@thicccheese4007 i remember in a old 2013-2014 interview with lindsay that monty was talking about ideas for season 12 before even season 1 had come out. also for a long time rwby has been comprise by 3 seasons arc around one the kingdoms, and there is still one kingdom left.

Rooster teeth was a ton of my early lifes humor. I moved a ton at that age when they were in their prime. While i was homeschooled i watched these guys every day. It's crazy that these guys are finally going.

Honestly haven't cried that hard in long time never felt so emotional about a media company ending

Despite all of what we saw, it still hurts seeing things go this route. I feel bad for everyone here.

I wish I could be there to hug everyone, just cause.. I kept debating about going to RTX and meeting them but never did… too bad

Same. I wish I could have gone to RTX just once in my life, but sadly, I could never afford it. Not just the money, but also the time. The first few years, I was unemployed and had no income, but the last few years, I had an income, but it was very limited, and it was already earmarked for paying bills (primarily student debt). Plus, I was working at a job that would have never given me the time off to go anyway, because it was around one of the biggest holidays of the year.

Man this stream was sad, we have like no good news besides that they are trying to sell the shows but than like 150+ people are getting laid off and everyone was crying though the stream. i just feel bad for them and its sad

Mr. Shawcross! I know animation was a helluva turbulent business, with more downhills than ups, but it ain't over yet! The show must go on, and I know you'll be able to give the people what they want. Cuz that's what creatives, TRUE creatives, do. I know you'll get RWBY that ending, by the spirit of Monty Oum himself I know you can do it.

It's difficult for most skeptics to not show human emotions, even towards the target of criticism, when the target no longer operates and loses all the employed personnel on a dime because.... capitalism at work. But be careful of the fractional minority of skeptics that DON'T feel little to any emotion. That danger is real.
