Kerala Style Nadan Chicken Curry | Kerala Style Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
Coconut oil -150 ml
Mustard seed-11/2 tsp
Coconut small pieces-1/2 piece of coconut
Shallot small and big -1big 8 or 10 small
Green chilli-2or 3
Garlic -6 or 7 pieces
Ginger- small pieces
Curry leaves-1 or 2 spig
Turmeric powder- ½ spoon
Pepper powder-1 spoon
Red chilli powder-2 or 3 tbsp
Coriander powder-1 or 2 spoons
Garam masala -1 spoon
Salt
Method of preparation
Cut and clean the chicken into medium sized pieces and coconut into thin pieces and finally chopped
onion, ginger and garlic and keep a side.
Heat oil in a pan and mustard to popit,sauté coconut piece for 2 to 3 minutes till light golden brown.
Add onion ,chilli, garlic,ginger and curry leaves.saute for 5 to 10 minute still soft and mashy and then
add turmeric and pepper again mix well all ingredients
And finally add the chicken pieces mix that through. Cover and cook on a medium flame for 20 to 35
minutes till chicken is done.
Then remove the lid and pour some red chilli powder , coriander powder and garam masala,then add
some water.mix well all the ingredients.
Then boil till the gravy is up to the consistency desired,then add some salt to taste
Remove from heat and serve it with tapioca and rice
Tapioca recipe
Tapioca-1kg
Grated coconut -1/2 cup
Green chilli-2 or 3 nos
curry leaves -3 or 4 strings
garlic-6 or 7 pieces
cumin seed -1/2 tsb
salt- to taste
Method
Peel the tapioca and wash it though roughly to remove dirt ans sand.
Cut into rough cubes pieces
Cook the tapioca in a pan with enough water to cover with lid until the pieces are soft then
drain the remaining water are discard
Crush gratted coconut,green chilli,garlic,cumin seed ,curry leaves,turmeric powder and salt to
taste
Add the cooked tapioca into the crushed spices,
Mix well and continue to stir until the spices coat the tapioca
To ensure all spices are to your taste and remove from heat and serve it with chicken curry.

കടുക് - 1 1 / 2 tsp
തേങ്ങാക്കൊത്ത് - 1 / 2 കപ്പ്
ചെറിയഉള്ളി - 8 , 10

പച്ചമുളക് - 2 , 3
വെളുത്തുള്ളി - 6 , 7
ഇഞ്ചി - 1
കറിവേപ്പില - 1 , 2 തണ്ട്
കുരുമുളക്പൊടി - 1 tbsp
മുളക്പൊടി - 2 , 3 tbsp
മല്ലിപൊടി - 1 , 2 tbsp
ഗരം മസാല - 1 tsp
ഉപ്പ്
തയ്യാറാക്കുന്ന വിധം
ആദ്യം ചിക്കൻ നന്നായി കഴുകി ചെറുതായി മുറിച്ച മാറ്റിവെയ്ക്കുക
തേങ്ങ ചെറുതായി അരിഞ്ഞ വെയ്ക്കുക
ഒരു ചട്ടിയിൽ എണ്ണ ഒഴിച്ച അതിലേക്ക് കടുക് ഇടുക
ഇനി അതിലേക്ക് തേങ്ങാക്കൊത്ത് ഇട്ട് 2 , 3 മിനിറ്റ് വഴറ്റുക
തേങ്ങാക്കൊത്ത് വഴണ്ട് കഴിയുമ്പോൾ അതിലേക്ക് സവാള , ചെറിയഉള്ളി , പച്ചമുളക് , ഇഞ്ചി , വെളുത്തുള്ളി , കറിവേപ്പില എന്നിവ ചേർത്ത 5 , 10 മിനിറ്റ് നന്നായി വഴറ്റുക
മഞ്ഞൾപൊടി , കുരുമുളക്പൊടി കുടി ചേർത്ത നന്നായി ഇളക്കുക
ഇനി അതിലേക്ക് അരിഞ്ഞ വെച്ച ചിക്കൻ കുടി ചേർത്ത നന്നായി ഇളക്കി അടച്ച 20 മിനിറ്റ് വേവിക്കുക
മുളക്പൊടി , മല്ലിപൊടി , ഗരം മസാല എന്നിവ ഒരു പ്ലേറ്റിൽ ഇട്ട് അതിൽ കുറച്ച വെള്ളം കുടി ഒഴിച്ച നന്നായി മിക്സ് ചെയ്ത ചിക്കനിലേക്ക് ഒഴിച്ച നന്നായി യോജിപ്പിക്കുക
ആവിശ്യത്തിന് ഉപ്പ് കുടി ചേർത്ത കൊടുക്കുക
ചിക്കൻ നന്നായി തിളച്ച കുറുകി വരുമ്പോൾ അടുപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് ഇറക്കി വെയ്ക്കുക

ഇനി ഒരു കലത്തിൽ കപ്പ വേവിക്കാൻ ആവിശ്യത്തിന് വെള്ളം ഒഴിച്ച ചൂടാകുമ്പോൾ അതിലേക്ക് അരിഞ്ഞ വെച്ച കപ്പ ഇട്ട് വേവിക്കുക
ചിരകിയ തേങ്ങാ , പച്ചമുളക് , വെളുത്തുള്ളി , ജീരകം , കറിവേപ്പില , മഞ്ഞൾപൊടി , ഉപ്പ് എന്നിവ ചേർത്ത അരച്ച എടുക്കുക
കപ്പ വെന്ത കഴിയുമ്പോൾ വെള്ളം ഊറ്റി മാറ്റുക
ഇനി അതിലേക്ക് അരച്ച തേങ്ങ കുടി ചേർത്ത ഒന്ന് അടച്ച വെയ്ക്കുക
ഇനി കപ്പയും തേങ്ങയും നന്നായി കുഴച്ച എടുക്കുക
അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ നാടൻ കപ്പ വേവിച്ചതും , ചിക്കൻ കറിയും തയാർ

ഇതാണ് ഏറ്റവും ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട ചിക്കൻ കറി.... അമ്മയുടെ ആ തേങ്ങ അരിയുന്നതും അത് വഴറ്റുന്നതും പിന്നെ പൊടി ചൂടാക്കി വെള്ളം ചേർത്ത് ഒഴിക്കുന്നതും, എല്ലാം അതിൽ പിടിച്ചു set ആകും അവസാനം..... എല്ലാം കിടു ആണ്.... ഒത്തിരി ഇഷ്ടമായി ശെരിക്കും ഇപ്പൊ രണ്ടു തവണ ഞൻ try ചെയ്ത് lockdown timel.... 👌👌👌👌😍
