Kepler Telescope Found New Planets Better Than Earth
► Subscribe: goo.gl/r5jd1F
The Kepler Telescope was built for one purpose; to look at a certain patch in the Milky Way in search of exoplanets.
The exoplanet hunter observed over hundreds of thousands of stars and discovered thousands of exoplanets during its lifetime.

@@robertarrowood3651 I used to hold that view about our presence here, I don’t know if I agree with it anymore. It’s possible that we are a benefit to the planet too. I’m still unsure if our unearthing of the carbon that our planet has swallowed with the dinosaurs dying out is not just throwing the planet back into balance to what it was previously, when our reptilian and mammalian giants ruled the world. I’ve got a lot of farmers in my family and they are raving about the size of their crop and the speed of its growth due to the excess carbon. While others are complaining about a lack of rain due to the change in climate. It’s very interesting and hard to deduce if we are doing something wrong or right… but I will say this though, the excessive use of masks to prevent the pandemic is definitely destructive. I believe we’ve equated about 129 BILLION masks are being thrown into landfill per month around the world.
To be honest, there could be life without breathing oxygen like we do. There could be life that doesn’t need food, water or anything. We don’t know what’s able to exist in the universe, heck we barely know anything with our own understandings, assumptions and theories. We think about climate, seasons, tilts, gravitations, Magnetic fields and so on because it’s needed for US while weirdly nobody says that life would in theory also be able to live without all of that.

I'd imagine, somewhere out there, there's a world of alien lifeforms that have not 1, but 2 planets of comparable size in the goldilocks zone, meaning they not only have twice the space to grow and thrive, but also twice the resources that we do. These lifeforms literally have the galactic equivalent of a '2nd life', meaning if one planet gets hit by a world-ender, then they still have 1 more planet to go. The odds of 1 planet getting hit by something that big in 150 million years? Is astronomically small given our own planet's experiences.. The odds of getting 2 getting hit in the same 150 million year timespan? Is so low it may as well be impossible. As a result, this lifeform would most likely be far older, far more numerous, and far better equipped than we ever were or will become, given they have access to 2 homeworlds.

Once it has been revealed that they actually found life on another planet I think we’ll be shocked at it’s ability. No water needed, no ANYTHING we thought was needed for it’s “life”. Earth life needs the earthly things. Who’s to say life out there hasn’t adapted and gone through evolution in other conditions?

@@_Lisa_Lisa_ Thanks. I find it odd if your statement is 100% because If this isn’t common sense then I’m obviously… missing something? I think we should take the idea of what’s out in the Universe out of the box of “must be like Earth” in some way or it’s not as interesting. We need to separate the understanding of how ‘life’ may work in other worlds from the idea of us possibly being able to colonize these possibilities. I’m assuming that could be an underlying issue of our focus in our pursuits. I think there’s a real possibility that we’re not openly visited by “aliens” because our planet could possibly be deadly to most life that has these abilities and that’ll obviously be ‘vise versa’. Just my opinions. Not facts.
@_Lisa_Lisa_
2 жыл бұрын
@@mrspankytank2858 Well, I also find it odd, but go have a look, until recently we only considered viable the planets that had water, light and oxygen, but even on our own planet that's not true, so we're slowly changing what we consider to be a good environment for life, but many theories still take for granted our own vision not only of life, but of evolution, so that any "evolved civilization" would take the same course as ours, including not only technology, but some sorts of technology, etc. I find your point interesting, though, even if it's only speculation
@mrspankytank2858

@@_Lisa_Lisa_ Exactly. Even our own ideas of what constitutes a “civilization” is obscured by our narrow vision of ourselves. A little off topic but I’ve always found how Our civilizations and even the structure of our society seems to fallow the biological mapping of our Human anatomy. For example, If you think about it in terms of roads compared to veins or seats of control (government) compared to the brain and so forth. A little weird but regardless I always found that observation interesting.
